Abstract :The growth of performance has become more critical to the success of a construction project. The construction industries are facing complexity in the projects due to some critical factors. In the previous researches, different critical factors have been proposed. Some of critical factors have been listed commonly in the previous review papers which have been minimized by using different approaches and methodologies. Also, different ideologies have been proposed for the success of a construction project. This literature review has been done to gather the information about the causes and their factors which may affect the performance of construction projects. The main objective of this review paper is to cover most of the factors which may be considered critical during any project. This investigation may in turn help the organizations in assessing the performance of the project management. Keywords : critical factor, factor affecting success, performance. 1.INTRODUCTION For the success of the project it is mandatory to investigate the factors which may affect the performance of the project. Such factors may known as critical factors.it is necessary to possibly minimize those factors in large number for the success of any project. For minimizing the maximum number of errors from the project first it is needed to be identify the problems. A success project may called that project which is completed as per the planned timing and budget. And if any of these two are not fulfilled then the construction project must considered as the failed project. Construction industries are very much suffering from these issues like projects are not being completed as per the planned time duration and also there are many critical factors occurs in the project which may the main reason of these failure. The right approach of starting any project should be first examine the construction site. And let know the do’s and don’ts in the project. 1.1 Object and Motive: As I have mentioned at the starting of this paper that what is critical factors and how they effect on construction project” so my object of this study is to know that the critical factors of © 2017, IRJET

the construction project which are the main cause of the failure of the construction project.by examine those critical factors in this paper will categorized those factors as the most responsible factors for the failure of the project. I am doing this by preparing questionnaire survey. 1.2 Literature Review: By the time of the study of this case, have been gone through different literatures, which are defining the major causes of affecting the success of the construction projects in their respective areas and also having some of the solutions for minimalizing those factors which are the cause of the affecting the success of the construction project. Some of case studies are given belowAccording to T. Anoop, SS. Asadi, A.V.S. Prasad in NovemberDecember 2016, Volume 7, Issue 6. In this paper they had prepared a framework on the performance of the construction projects on developing countries. they had given some factors which may affect the project performance and they are as follows- cost, quality, site, dispute, safety, project time. They mainly indicated six factors in their respective paper which factors are affecting the success of the construction projects, client related factor, consultant related factor, extreme environmental related factor, supply chain related factors ,contractor related factor. These are the mainly responsible factor for affecting the project success of the paper. The data of this paper has been analyzed by using SPSS (Stactical Package for the Social Science) Person’s correlation and Regression Analysis. According to Afshin Pakseresht29, Dr Gholamreza Asgari30 in December 2012, Volume 4, NO 8. In this paper a study have been performed in Pars Garma Company. Two stage programme have been performed in this research. They prepared one questionnaire and distributed in 58 employees of the company (staff manager, technical expert, project manager). And in the second stage they eliminated the lowest factors and again prepared one ISO 9001:2008 Certified Journal
