Introduction: The term ‘education’ in the broad sense is not only a pedagogical one but punctuating down to the basic meaning of the term, it means to plunge a man’s body, mind & soul of ignorance. Education is an effective tool to realize the actual potential & makes this society a better place to live in. It is a vast field where one can keep on learning throughout his or her life without failing to secure moral victory. There are several accredited universities & educational institutions to choose from. Education has become more than just a means to have better carrier options available in the near future. The core objective is to develop humanistic feelings towards one & all. “There are innumerable proposals/suggestions for reforms and changes in educational system and there are infinite number of good ideas and research results. The target is not just to pick one of them but rather is to have comprehensive attitude and approach within which to bring to action many good works known to us. Introduction of semester system can be said to be the product of these investigations” -Myron Tribus (1994)
Wikipedia-
The name "Wikipedia" is a suitcase of the words wiki which means a technology for creating collaborative websites, from the Hawaiian word wiki, meaning "quick" and encyclopedia. Wikipedia's articles provide links designed to guide the user to related pages with additional information. Wikipedia is written collaboratively by largely authorless unconstrained who write or presents their information without pay. Anyone with the help of Internet access can write and make changes to Wikipedia articles, except in limited cases where editing is restricted to prevent disruption or heathenism. The internet users can contribute anonymously, under alias, or, if they choose to, with their real identity.
Five Pillars of Wikipedia: The Fundamental principles of the Wikipedia is epitomize in five pillars that shows how the project works which are as follows: 1. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia:
It may combines many features of general and specialized encyclopedias, calendars, and brochures. The Wikipedia is not a soapbox , an advertising platform, a haughtiness press, an experiment in chaos or democracy, an reckless collection of information, or a web directory. It is not a dictionary, a newspaper, or a collection of source documents. Wikipedia is not the place to insert personal opinions, suggestions, experiences, or arguments. 2. Wikipedia has a neutral point of view:
which means the learner endeavour for articles that advocate no single point of view that means it explains article or document from the major points of view which can be presents accurately providing context for any given point of view, and presenting no one point of view as "the truth" or "the best view." It means citing verifiable, authoritative sources whenever possible, especially when the topic is on controversial or is on living persons. Personal experiences, interpretations, or opinions of the author or the editor do not belong.
