Tyler Berl

Tyler Berl has built a career in environments where pressure is constant, and clarity is essential. For more than 15 years in Jacksonville, Florida, he has provided direct patient care in high-intensity clinical settings, often serving as a calm anchor during moments of fear and instability. He is board-certified in emergency medicine, pediatrics, and tactical medicine, and has provided critical care transport as both a paramedic and a registered nurse. He became a licensed paramedic in 2011, entering a field that demands precision, resilience, and sound judgment. Tyler was immediately drawn to high acuity medicine, where outcomes depend on decisive action and technical accuracy. That path led him to Orange Park Medical Center, where he spent six years in the emergency department before advancing to the trauma team, managing complex cases alongside physicians and nurses. During his years in the emergency department, Tyler developed advanced proficiency in cardiac life support, airway management, rapid sequence intubation, and ventilator operation. Trauma activations, cardiac arrests, strokes, severe infections, and pediatric emergencies were routine. He earned trust by remaining composed when situations escalated and by acting without hesitation during resuscitations, often guiding teams through the most critical moments of care. After leaving the emergency department, Tyler Berl expanded his scope of practice into pediatrics and interfacility critical care transport. He routinely managed ventilated patients, multiple medication infusions, and unstable vital signs inside the confined space of an ambulance. His ability to titrate sedatives, vasopressors, and respiratory support became especially valuable during COVID, when he was among the few paramedics cleared to transport pediatric patients on advanced high-flow oxygen systems.
