PLAY TO GROW: A THERAPEUTIC BOARDGAME GROUP
Games provide a chance for kids to practice cooperation, handle challenges, and reflect on decisions - all while having fun and socializing with others. This group offers therapy and learning, disguised as a game night for children ages 8-12 years old!
Board games are more than just fun and games. They help children and teens build skills such as:
Practicing social communication in real time

Thinking ahead and making decisions
Managing frustration when things don't go as planned
Navigating competition and cooperation
Reflecting on feelings and behavior after playing
In this group, board games are used as a fun, hands on way for children to learn and practice:
Problem-solving and strategy
Communication with others
Emotional regulation and coping
Teamwork and cooperation
on Tuesdays, from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, starting February 3 , at Easterseals MORC’s Southfield Crescent Centre location (24445 Northwestern Hwy., Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48075). rd
