PLAY TO GROW: A THERAPEUTIC BOARDGAME GROUP

Games provide a chance for kids to practice cooperation, handle challenges, and reflect on decisions - all while having fun and socializing with others. This group offers therapy and learning, disguised as a game night for children ages 8-12 years old!

Board games are more than just fun and games. They help children and teens build skills such as:

Practicing social communication in real time

Thinking ahead and making decisions

Managing frustration when things don't go as planned

Navigating competition and cooperation

Reflecting on feelings and behavior after playing

In this group, board games are used as a fun, hands on way for children to learn and practice:

Problem-solving and strategy

Communication with others

Emotional regulation and coping

Teamwork and cooperation
