TRAILS to Wellness: Anxiety and Depression is a safe and supportive group for 3 - 5 graders, who are struggling with common symptoms of depression and anxiety. Each session will utilize CBT and mindfulness to teach children coping strategies to help build resilience and manage strong or difficult emotions. rd th
What can participants expect?

Over the course of 9 sessions, children will learn about:
Emotions including anxiety, anger, sadness, and low mood. How thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. Relaxation and mindfulness skills.
Automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) and how we can reframe them into helpful thoughts.
How getting active improves our mood.
How facing our fears helps us cope with anxiety and overcome avoidance.
When & where does the group take place?
TRAILS to Wellness: Anxiety & Depression meets on Mondays, starting March 1st from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Easterseals MORC Southfield - Cresent Centre location (24445 Northwestern Hwy, Ste #100 Southfield, MI 48075).

TRAILS to Wellness: Anxiety & Depression will meet for 9 weeks and conclude on April 27th. Children can join at any point during the group.
