Overlooking the outdoor terrace and beyond to the Waikato River, the Dining Room comfortably accommodates up to 50 guests for group dining as well as a productive day of meetings. The space transitions to an entertainment venue for up to 60 guests with cocktail style service with the adjoining library.

Cool and cavernous, the Wine Cellar is lined with some of the world’s most sought-after vintage plus a superb selection of premium New Zealand wines. A central feasting table, renaissance art and gilded chandelier sets the scene for candlelit dining for up to ten guests.

Styled with country antiques and artworks personally sourced by Virginia Fisher, The Loft is located upstairs and is ideal for a formal meeting or private dinner. Dining is accommodated on two tables of eight.

Named in honour of Don Ryder, resident bagpiper from 1993-2018, the elegant Piper Room is furnished with plush lounges and antiques, opening to an adjoining private balcony overlooking the Waikato River.

Getting here
Huka Lodge is located in Taupō, in the central North Island of New Zealand. Taupō is a 3.5-hour scenic drive from Auckland. The nearest airport for domestic and international air transfers is Auckland Airport, with daily connecting flights to Taupō Airport.
A variety of transfers are available for guests arriving at Huka Lodge, from helicopters to limousines and from a range of departure ports.
For a spectacular aerial arrival, it’s hard to beat a helicopter transfer. Huka Lodge has a daylight helipad onsite perfect for the purpose.
