Welcome to St. Bede’s Nursery
At St. Bede’s Catholic Academy, our Nursery provides a caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported. Our Nursery is school-based and led by a qualified teacher, supported by experienced teaching assistants who are passionate about early years education.
We are proud of the welcoming and inspiring space we have created— designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Every child matters to us. We celebrate diversity and ensure that individual needs are met so that every child feels included, respected, and cared for.
Our approach is centred on igniting each child’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder. Through exploration of natural and engaging resources, we encourage investigation and discovery, helping children develop confidence, independence, and deep understanding.
Our aim is for every child to flourish—becoming confident, caring, and responsible learners who leave Nursery with a strong foundation and a genuine love of learning.

At St. Bede’s Catholic Academy, we believe that every child is unique, talented, and loved by God. From the very beginning, we recognise how special each child is and celebrate their individuality.
In line with the Department for Education’s Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2021), we follow the educational programmes that guide everything we do—shaping our environment, our planning, our curriculum, and the rich learning experiences we provide for our children.
Important Information
15 Hour Nursery Sessions:
Morning Sessions - 8:45 until 11:45am
Afternoon Sessions - 12:15 until 3:15pm
Snacks and Milk
30 Hour Nursery Sessions:
Day Sessions - 8:35am until 3:15pm
We offer children water or milk each day, along with a healthy snack such as apples, satsumas, bananas, carrots, strawberries, sugar snap peas, pears and more.
Packed Lunch
Children attending for 30 hours will need to bring a packed lunch each day.
Who Can Join Our Nursery?
Nursery is open to all children from the age of three. We offer 30 hours of free early years education to those who are eligible and can be flexible with part-time requests.
Our nursery team are very experienced and ensure that all of our children are happy and settled within our setting.
Our Uniform
At St. Bede’s Catholic Academy, our uniform helps children feel part of our school community. It is smart, practical and designed to ensure comfort throughout the school day.
For all children:
✔ White shirt
✔ School tie
✔ Plain black sensible shoes (no boots)
✔ Initials can be embroidered on selected items
Boys:
✔ Boys’ jumper
✔ Dark grey trousers
✔ (Shorts may be worn in the summer months)
