Dear parent, Mathematics Year 9 GCSE Transition Support The Mathematics Department would like to give your son/daughter some help over the summer so that they can arrive in September ready to succeed in their all important GCSE Mathematics course. If your son/daughter did not quite manage to achieve a level 6 in your end of year assessment I have put together a six topic pack covering some of the areas of Mathematics which commonly cause problems, but are key to achieving a good grade at GCSE. This pack is available in the Mathematics area of the school website: www.lythamhigh.lancs.sch.uk If your son/daughter did successfully achieve a level 6 or higher, they would benefit from going on the school MOODLE site and looking at the GCSE Unit 1 Data Handling topics they will be covering in the Autumn term.
