Welcome to St Charles Nursery

Welcome to Our Nursery at St Charles Catholic Primary School

At St Charles Catholic Primary School, our Nursery provides a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for your child’s early years. Children can join our Nursery from the term after their third birthday, enjoying a wide range of learning experiences both indoors and outdoors. Our carefully designed spaces are equipped with engaging resources that inspire curiosity and support the development of key skills.

As part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants work closely to ensure every child receives the best start to their education, fostering growth across all areas of the curriculum.

We warmly welcome visits!

Who Can Join Our Nursery?

We offer flexible hours to suit the needs of families, including full and part-time sessions. Funded places are available for eligible families, including the 15 and 30 hours of free childcare.

Our Approach to Learning

At our Nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, carefully designed to support children’s development across all areas of learning — from communication and language to physical, social, and emotional skills.

We believe that children learn best through play, so we provide a rich variety of activities that inspire exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Every experience is thoughtfully planned to spark curiosity and build confidence, helping your child develop a lifelong love of learning.

Nursery Sessions

• 30 hours per week: 8:45am – 2:45pm (children will need to bring a packed lunch)

• 15 hours per week: 8:45am – 11:45am or 11:45am – 2:45pm

To support families in line with the end of our school day at 3:15pm, we offer an optional extended wrap‑around service until 3:15pm, at a cost of £2 per session.

Additionally, parents will also have access to our general school wrap around care including breakfast club from 7:45am and after school care until 5:15pm.
