“The new facility means improved safety and the ability to offer training for a junior brigade as well as the opportunity to share spaces with other groups in the community. We need to encourage junior members and this will allow us to serve our community better,” said Allen.
“The new station will allow for future growth of the brigade and will improve operational capability, it will be a huge asset to the Nagambie community,” Allen said.

The Nagambie CFA Brigade was established in 1901 and has been housed in the Vine Street location since 1955. In October 2018 the Victorian Government announced the funding to replace the existing station in Vine Street. The new facility will provide a modern base and better facilities, for the volunteer fire fighters who respond to close
Nagambie CFA captain Allen Treble said, “The current station was built in 1955 and is too small to accommodate the brigade and the future needs of the community. The new site will give us room to grow as Nagambie continues to grow.”
The Nagambie Fire Brigade contribution to the project is applaudable with the volunteers raising funds to purchase furniture and items needed to fit out the new station, “We’ve been working towards this for a long time. We help out with traffic management at local events, so we’ve done a lot of work at a local level to get the best station we possibly can,” Allen said.
