Policy Context Local Plan and The Lodon Plan
The SPD conforms closely with the two local authorities core strategies as well as the London Plan, however in task 1 we found these higher level policies to be too vague, therefore risking a development which is not appropriate for this site. For example, the London Plan’s emphasis on volume housing building has heavilty informed this SPD, however this is arguably in contradiction which a need to deliver a significant replacement for the Earl’s Court exhibition centres which fundamentally defined the social and economic identity of the local area for generations.
