This is where your next chapter begins.
At Midland University, you’re not just going to class — you’re stepping into a community that values your story from day one. Here, professors know your name and will work to help you succeed. Your classmates become your crew, and every day opens a new door.
Along the way, you can discover your passions and grow in your faith, all while preparing for a career that makes a difference. You’ll find a home — and a future — right here.
Founded in 1883, Midland University offers relevant opportunities in more than 30 undergraduate academic areas, in 24 online graduate and doctoral programs, and a wide range of professional studies programs at both our Fremont and Omaha locations.
Midland sits in the heart of Fremont, Nebraska — just close enough to Omaha for bigger city vibes, but rooted in a town that feels like home. With a campus alive with energy, a tradition of excellence, and a future-focused mindset, Midland blends the best of both worlds: the comfort of a close-knit community and the reality of a university overflowing with excellence.
It’s a place you will call home, even if you’re miles away.
This is Midland.
At Midland University, our mission is to inspire people to learn and lead in the world with purpose.
The Midland University Student Ambassadors welcome you to Warrior Nation.
It is our role to be your advocate and campus expert as you explore all that Midland has to offer. There are a lot of decisions ahead of you. Are you looking for a smaller school or a big campus? Should you stay in-state or go out-of-state? How involved should you get? What academic courses catch your eye?
Visiting campus is the best way to experience the culture of every college that interests you and helps bring clarity to the questions listed above – straight from current students living the Midland experience. We can’t wait to meet you on your campus visit.
Whether it is your very first campus visit or you’ve lost count, we want to make sure that when you’re done hanging out with us, you truly know all that you are capable of and what a partnership with a school like Midland can help you become. We promise to keep it real with you every step of the way. Let’s do this.
Fremont is located in Eastern Nebraska and lies in the valley between the Platte and Elkhorn Rivers. Recreational opportunities and community amenities make Fremont an excellent location for students to enjoy the quality of life unique to Nebraska.
Activity abounds as the community is home to the Fremont State Lakes, a state park with 20 lakes. The Fremont Family YMCA is the largest in the country, offering an Olympic-size swimming pool and aquatic center.
Fremont is also a shopper’s delight, brimming with wonderful antique stores, boutiques, and a historic downtown district. A movie theater, minutes from campus, gives students a place to unwind, and there are an abundance of restaurants and coffee shops that will cater to everyone’s culinary tastes.
Fremont is just 20 minutes from Omaha, where all the amenities of a major city are available.
REAL COMMUNITY. REAL GROWTH.
The Midland University campus is an ideal home away from home: tight-knit, cozy, safe, active, engaging, and fun. Whether you are joining friends for pizza at the dining hall, playing a game of pool in the student center, meeting a study group in the library, or attending a play or home game, you can build your own experience here.
At Midland, learning extends beyond the classroom. Our campus includes 33 varsity sports, 6 different arts programs, student government, campus ministries, sororities, fraternities, intramural and club sports, and academic and social organizations.
On-campus living at Midland University fosters an environment where connection, communication, and community are at the heart of student life. Our residence halls grow into more than just places to sleep—they become vibrant, inclusive communities. Through intentional programming and dedicated support, we create spaces where students build lasting relationships, express themselves openly, and celebrate the richness of their identities and accomplishments.

THIS IS MIDLAND. WHERE LEARNING IS PERSONAL.
At Midland, we believe education should be both ambitious and relevant. With small class sizes, real-world experiences, and professors who mentor — not just lecture — you’ll get the attention and direction you need to thrive. From Business or Education to Health Professions or Arts & Sciences, Midland students graduate not only with knowledge in their field, but the skills, confidence, and purpose to excel in their career.
Students will develop more than just intellectual knowledge at Midland. Our bold and modern approach to a liberal arts education offers learning opportunities in multiple areas, with hands-on learning to build in-demand skills.
The Midland academic experience extends well beyond the walls of any classroom. Students are engaged in the community and have ample opportunities to apply their knowledge in a way that will advance their skills, enhance their resume, provide talking points in job interviews, and solve challenges that will prepare them for life well after their time at Midland.
