Celebrating Connection: Our Fifth Year Together
November always brings me back to gratitude— pausing, reflecting, and remembering how far we’ve come. This year, that feeling is even deeper as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of Red Rock City Lifestyle.
When I gratefully purchased this magazine from Cristine Lindholm, I didn’t know exactly how it would unfold—I just knew I wanted to build upon something meaningful for this community. What I’ve learned is that life rarely goes the way we think it will, and that’s the beauty of it. Every twist, every challenge, every choice—none of it was wasted. It brought us here.
I am thankful for you—our readers—who open these pages each month and allow us into your homes. I am thankful for the advertisers and partners who believe in us and help us share their stories. And I am thankful for the people behind the magazine—our writers, photographers, and my incredible editor, Paige Candee, who pour their heart and creativity into every issue.
Gratitude is more than looking back; it’s also a way of moving forward. It’s seeing the gifts in the imperfections, the blessings in the everyday, and the connections that make us stronger together.
Here’s to five years of stories, friendships, and community—and to all that’s ahead. Thank you for walking this journey with us.

When you live as gratitude, stress no longer rules your day. Challenges don’t drain your energy, and the holidays become more than obligations - they become moments of pure peace, joy, and celebration.
This November, go beyond the habit of gratitude into the power of gratitude.

Five Years SHAPING OF CONNECTION

Red Rock City Lifestyle celebrates half decade of meaningful partnerships and storytelling
ARTICLE BY SIENNA SINCLAIR
PHOTOGRAPHY BY CASEY JADE
Five years ago, Red Rock City Lifestyle was launched to celebrate the people and businesses that define Summerlin and nearby communities. Founded by Cristine Lindholm, with editorial leadership from Paige Candee and now published by Camilla Soléa Rae, the magazine has grown into an average 70-page celebration of local life each month. To mark this milestone, we spoke with Camilla, Paige, and Cristine about the magazine’s journey, its community, and its impact.
Paige Candee, styled by Marciano, stands amid the dramatic landscape of Red Rock Canyon.
Cristine Lindholm, founder of Red Rock City Lifestyle, recalls what inspired her to start the magazine: “I was inspired by the 10th anniversary issue of Leawood City Lifestyle—it had launched during an economic downturn, survived, and thrived. I remember thinking, I’d absolutely read this if it arrived in my mailbox.” The turning point came during the pandemic: “What I repeatedly heard was how hard it was for small businesses to keep marketing alive. I knew that a high-quality publication delivered directly to our community could help. Thankfully, businesses agreed. Within four months, we went to print and became the fastest launch magazine of 2020.”
Reflecting on the magazine’s growth, Cristine says, “I chose some amazing people. Bringing in Paige was a turning point. With her experience in PR and philanthropy, she immediately understood the magazine’s potential and gave it heart.” She is also proud of the early events that shaped the magazine’s spirit: “Our one-year anniversary celebrated what Red Rock City Lifestyle is all about—community, partnerships, connection, and giving back.” Passing the baton, Cristine adds, “Camilla has carried the magazine beautifully. She continues to elevate partners while collaborating with leaders. Together with Paige, she’s helped the publication flourish.”
For Cristine, the magazine carries a personal significance: “Las Vegas was my home for over 40 years, so this magazine is very personal. From the day I started it, I hoped it would last far beyond me—and it has. There’s a saying that if a business reaches five years, it’s far likelier to endure. I believe Red Rock City Lifestyle will be around for many more. If you enjoy it, I hope you’ll support the businesses who advertise. They could put their marketing dollars in many places, but they chose this magazine because they care about serving the Red Rock area. Their investment is what makes it possible for this publication to remain free—and that’s a gift to the community in itself.”
Editor Paige Candee shares her deep connection to the community: “Las Vegas has a special place in my heart. My kids were born here and learned to take their first steps, ride their bikes, and splash in their first pools right in Summerlin. My best friends—and honestly, the best community I’ve ever known—are here too. So, when I share a local story, it feeds my soul.” She feels a strong responsibility, saying, “I want to connect people in a city that has given me so much.”
Paige’s entrepreneurial background influences her editorial work deeply. “I didn’t always realize I had an entrepreneurial streak, but looking back, it’s been there all along. I started an Amnesty International chapter at Colgate University, founded Dress for Success Southern Nevada, and launched my own public relations firm, Candee Communications. Along the way, I was honored to win the Silver State Awards Entrepreneur of the Year. So, when the opportunity came to help build Red Rock
“What mattered most was keeping the soul of the magazine intact. I didn’t just want to put out pages every month, it was about making sure people feel seen, celebrated, and connected.
For me, Red Rock City Lifestyle has always stood out because of its focus on joy, beauty, and connection.”
City Lifestyle, I wasn’t intimidated; I was excited. Each venture has been humbling in its own way, but what they’ve all taught me is this: When you surround yourself with good people and put your energy into work that carries meaning, it never feels like ‘work.’ That’s the same philosophy that guides Candee Co., which focuses on helping both businesses and nonprofits share their purpose and goals in a way that inspires. For me, whether it’s publishing a story, building a brand, or supporting a cause, it’s always about connection with impact at its core.”
On the common thread linking Red Rock City Lifestyle and its sister publications, for which she is also the editor, Paige says, “Red Rock, South Vegas, and Henderson each have their own energy, but they’re all connected by the passion of the people who call them home. Each community has its own essence, but the common thread is how much Las Vegans love to celebrate each other. Whether it’s a small family-owned shop, a chef with a big dream, or neighbors fundraising for a cause, these stories remind us that we’re all part of something bigger. The backdrop may change, but the heartbeat is the same: people lifting people.”
Publisher Camilla Soléa Rae emphasizes the magazine’s core mission since taking over: “When I stepped in, what mattered most was keeping the soul of the magazine intact. I didn’t just
want to put out pages every month, it was about making sure people feel seen, celebrated, and connected. For me, Red Rock City Lifestyle has always stood out because of its focus on joy, beauty, and connection. I wanted to protect that sense of pride and positivity while also growing the magazine in creative ways. Five years is a milestone, but it also feels like a starting line—we still have so much to share and so much more community to celebrate.”
Camilla sees the magazine as a spark for curiosity and deeper community connection: “Instead of just reporting on what’s happening, we bring neighbors behind the scenes of their own community—whether it’s a new restaurant, a nonprofit leader, or a hidden gem right around the corner. It’s about creating those ‘I didn’t know that!’ moments that make people feel more rooted in where they live. And from the business side, it’s exciting to spotlight local owners in a way that feels authentic and personal, not just like an advertisement.
That balance—storytelling with purpose—is what keeps the magazine meaningful.”
Looking forward, Camilla says, “What excites me most are the relationships. Every year, the circle gets bigger—new voices, new businesses, new families moving here—and the magazine evolves along with that energy. I get excited thinking about fresh formats, new events, and collaborations we haven’t even dreamed of yet. And underlying it all is gratitude—for the readers who flip through each issue, the creative team that brings it to life, and the partners who believe in what we do. That’s what makes it possible, and that’s what makes every page feel personal.”
As the magazine marks its fifth anniversary, Red Rock City Lifestyle remains a vital voice — illuminating the people and businesses shaping Summerlin and nearby communities, and inspiring a proud, connected community moving forward together.
LIVING GR ATEFULLY
Gratitude is one of those words we hear often, but when you stop and really feel it—it can change everything. Gratitude isn’t just about polite thank-yous when someone opens a door. It’s a lens that shifts the way we see our lives. It softens the hard edges, brings light into dark places, and reminds us that even when life feels messy, there is still something good.
And science agrees. Gratitude doesn’t just feel good in the moment, it changes the way our brains, our relationships, and even our bodies work.
GRATITUDE AND THE BRAIN
Every morning, I sit with my journal. I write about the day I want to create. At night, I come back to it and write the miracles that unfolded. Sometimes they’re big, and others they’re “small”—an unexpected phone call, a smile, a quiet moment of peace. Over time, I’ve noticed how this practice trains my mind to search for good, not problems.
What science knows, what the heart feels
ARTICLE BY CAMILLA SOLÉA RAE, PHD
Neuroscientists call this neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to rewire itself. When we focus on gratitude, the brain releases dopamine and serotonin, those natural “feel-good” chemicals. And when we practice consistently, we strengthen the parts of the brain that regulate emotions and decision-making. Gratitude makes it easier to lean toward optimism rather than negativity.
GRATITUDE AND MENTAL
HEALTH
Life has a way of giving us detours we never asked for. It’s easy to get stuck by replaying mistakes or focusing on what’s missing. Gratitude breaks that cycle. We start replacing the word “mistake” with “experience.”
Studies show that people who practice gratitude regularly experience lower levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. One study found that writing gratitude letters created benefits that lasted for weeks, even months.
I’ve lived this truth. Looking back on difficult seasons, gratitude helped me see that even in pain, there were gifts: strengths I didn’t know I had, clarity about what mattered, or the courage to move forward.
GRATITUDE AND RELATIONSHIPS
Gratitude doesn’t just change how we feel, it changes how we connect. Think about how it feels when someone genuinely appreciates you. You feel lighter, stronger, more open.
Research shows that couples who thank each other regularly are more satisfied in their relationships. Families who share what they’re thankful for feel closer. Teams that practice gratitude work better together. Gratitude is contagious, it creates a cycle of generosity and kindness.
GRATITUDE AND PHYSICAL HEALTH
Here’s the surprising part: gratitude doesn’t just lift our mood; it impacts our health. People who practice gratitude sleep better, have lower blood pressure, and even report fewer aches and pains. Gratitude lowers cortisol, the stress hormone that can weaken the immune system and increase inflammation. Less stress equals better health.
In a way, gratitude is medicine we can give ourselves. It doesn’t cost anything, and the return is immeasurable. CONTINUED >
SIMPLE WAYS TO PRACTICE GRATITUDE
Gratitude isn’t complicated. It’s built from small moments. Here are a few simple ways to begin:
• Morning Creation + Miracles – Write the day you want to create in the morning and return at night to write the miracles that happened. This shifts your focus to what’s possible and reminds you how much there is to appreciate.
• Say It Out Loud – Don’t just think it. Tell someone. A text, a note, or a heartfelt thank-you can brighten both your day and theirs.
• Pause and Notice – Take a breath and notice one thing you’re grateful for in the moment—the sunshine, laughter, or simply being alive.
• Reframe Challenges – Instead of “Why is this happening?” try, “What could this be teaching me?” Gratitude doesn’t erase hardship; it helps us find meaning in it.
LIVING WITH GRATITUDE
Gratitude isn’t a season—it’s a way of life. It doesn’t mean denying struggle. It means noticing the blessings within it. It means recognizing that perfection isn’t required for joy.
Science confirms what our hearts already know: gratitude makes life richer, deeper, and more connected. It changes our brain, strengthens our health, and deepens our relationships.
So, this November, I invite you to ask yourself: What is one thing I can be thankful for today? Write it down. Say it out loud. Let it shift the way you see your world. Because when you choose gratitude, you don’t just change your day—you change your life.
Set your schedule. Make an impact.
Build a life you’re proud of.
Behind each of our 200+ City Lifestyle magazines is someone who cares deeply about their community. Someone who connects people, celebrates businesses, and shares the stories that matter most. What if that someone was you?
Or maybe it’s someone you know. If this isn’t the right time for you, but you know someone who could be the perfect fit, we’d love an introduction.
TRAVELING WITH THANKS
What my Scotland journey taught me about purpose and gratitude
ARTICLE BY JESSICA VARGAS | PHOTOGRAPHY BY HELM PHOTOGRAPHY AND JESSICA VARGAS
As both a veteran and a grateful traveler, I’ve learned that the most meaningful journeys aren’t measured solely by the number of miles traveled, but by the purpose they carry and the people who walk alongside you. My recent trip to Scotland reminded me of this truth in profound ways.
I had the honor of traveling there as one of 64 active-duty members and veterans invited by the Robert Irvine Foundation. The foundation, created by celebrity chef and longtime military supporter Chef Robert Irvine, is dedicated to improving the lives of service members, first responders, and their families. This November, as we mark Veterans Day, the Marine Corps Birthday, and Thanksgiving, I can’t think of a more fitting time to reflect on the gratitude I feel for their support—and for the unforgettable experience of Scotland’s Cateran Yomp.
The Yomp, organized by the Army Benevolent Fund, is no ordinary hike. It challenges participants to trek as far as 54 miles across the Scottish Highlands within 24 hours. The trail pushes your body and spirit to their limits, winding through hills, valleys, woodlands, and wide-open landscapes that make you both marvel at the earth’s beauty and battle its demands. With distances of 22, 37, or 54 miles, it’s an endurance test that few forget.
What stays with me even more, though, are the people. Veterans, active-duty members, EOD specialists (the brave volunteers tasked with defusing explosive devices), Purple Heart recipients, and allies from around the world—all walking shoulder to shoulder. Their presence turned the grueling challenge of the Yomp into something extraordinary.
One of my most humbling moments came when I hiked several miles with a team of EOD soldiers. Their mission in service is among the most dangerous in the military. These men and women willingly step forward to confront hidden threats so others may live. Walking beside them on the rolling Scottish hills was a privilege. With every story they shared about their service, relocations, and family lives, I gained not just
“GRATITUDE IS EASIER WHEN CHALLENGES STRIP AWAY THE DISTRACTIONS OF DAILY LIFE. PURPOSE FEELS CLEARER WHEN SHARED WITH OTHERS WALKING BESIDE YOU.”
admiration, but a deeper appreciation for their sacrifice.
Their courage also stirred memories of loved ones I’ve lost. A Marine friend from high school died in Iraq. Walking now alongside those who make it their mission to disarm such devices, understanding what’s truly at stake, left me speechless with gratitude. Every step felt like a tribute—to him, to those we’ve lost, and to those who still serve.
The Yomp also introduced me to decorated veterans recruited to the foundation by Chef Irvine himself: men such as Michael Schlitz, David Reid, Charlie Williams, and Rob Yarnell. These Purple Heart recipients have endured the scars of combat yet continue to give back by uplifting others. Their resilience reminded me what it means not only to survive hardship but to transform it into service.
Beyond the sheer physical test, walking in Scotland opened a quiet space for reflection. The landscape of the Highlands—rolling green hills, forests thick with mist, and sudden bursts of sunlight through clouds—brought my soul into peace in a way I hadn’t expected. At moments I walked in silence, letting every sense awaken. I felt present,
untethered, connected both to nature and to those around me. The conversations with strangers—Royal Navy soldiers, American veterans, spouses, and supporters—turned quickly into bonds of trust and camaraderie. Strangers became friends, friends became teammates, and every one of us pushed forward motivated by each other.
I carried away from Scotland not just sore muscles and memories, but lessons I treasure. Gratitude is easier when
challenges strip away the distractions of daily life. Purpose feels clearer when shared with others walking beside you. The strength to keep going, whether in miles or in life, comes as much from community as it does from within.
This November, as we pause to honor veterans and reflect on the meaning of service, I think back to those miles in Scotland. Every step of the Yomp was physically tough, but every moment was steeped in thankfulness—for my own journey, for the brothers and sisters I walked beside, and for the reminder that resilience, purpose, and gratitude carry us further than we ever expect.
May we carry that spirit—of Scotland, of service, of thanks—with us in every journey, great or small.

FROM HOMELESS TO
SUMMA CUM LAUDE NURSE
ARTICLE BY MICHELLE ST. ANGELO
How a nonprofit’s support and scholarship helped Alex Rankin rewrite his future
At age 18, Alexander Rankin was homeless. His drug-addicted parents had both passed away tragically, and in quick succession, leaving him to fend for himself in a world ill-equipped to meet his needs.
As he tells it, Alex was always a good student who enjoyed learning, but his neglectful and poverty-stricken upbringing kept him from fulfilling his potential. As a teenager, Alex sank into depression, haunted by negative thoughts and constant behavioral struggles at school. One day, after losing his second parent, he found what he describes as a
Alex Rankin and Denise Charles
miraculous spiritual awakening. “I basically felt like I was losing everything in my life, when I had a life-changing, personal encounter with Jesus Christ. I literally woke up the next day as a new man, with a peace in my heart I’d never felt before.”
Finding consistency and community in church, Alex made meaningful connections with peers who had gone through similar tragedies. “One of my friends [who was also homeless] told me I should check out this program. He said, ‘They give you your own apartment, they help equip you with job skills,’ and they generally support the growth of unhoused young people.”
So, one day in 2015, Alex walked into St. Jude’s Ranch for Children’s Transitional Housing facility in Las Vegas and met a woman who would forever change his life: Denise Charles, Chief Program Officer.
“When I met Alex, I thought ‘Oh My God, here’s this handsome, innocent kid, and I wanted to know what happened,” she shares. After empathizing with his traumatic backstory, setting up the rules of the facility, and reassuring Alex that none of his situation was his fault, Denise planted the seeds of what would become a long-term mentorship and parental-like bond. “He said right away, ‘I want a job. I want to work. I want to save money. I’m going to go to school, and
I want to become a nurse.’ I vividly remember he said that immediately,” she beams.
And, so, with support to make his dreams happen, the trajectory of Alex’s life began to shift. He qualified for the two-year transitional program and received wraparound services from Denise, who became his case manager and whose hands-on and consistent guidance taught him little-by-little the life skills he craved learning.
Beyond the transitional housing, a pivotal part of Alex’s journey was the educational support from St. Jude’s Ranch for Children’s Career Opportunity Scholarship Fund. This scholarship helps current and former program participants cover tuition, books, housing, and other educational expenses, empowering youth to pursue higher education and meaningful careers. Impressively, the nonprofit has contributed $65,000 toward post-secondary education for about a dozen young people in the last two years alone.
With Alex accepting the help and doing the work to break the cycle, Alex earned the scholarship, which helped sponsor his college tuition, books, and housing. After a brief shift in majors and schools, he graduated summa cum laude with a perfect GPA from the nursing program at Nevada State University.
“I told Alex when he graduated from college to call me and I would be there,” says Denise. Culminating in a full circle moment after nearly 10 years of consistent mentorship, Denise could remember Alex’s first day of college, when she traveled with him and dropped him off, like it was yesterday. “He said ‘I’m not going to let you down,’ … and he sure didn’t. With Alex, it was never a question of if he would do it. I knew he would do it. It was always a matter of what’s next for him?”
Today, Alex holds the coveted and prestigious position of nurse in the Level 1 Trauma ICU at UMC, a placement rarely offered to new graduates. In that capacity, from his personal experiences, he offers insight and compassion to those in the midst of one of their worst days. After some time living on his own, Alex now resides with loving family members and dreams of one day buying his own house, getting married, and becoming a father. Things, he said, he was never able to hope for as a kid.
“This was the most important thing that’s ever happened to me,” declares Alex. “God’s love was all around me—in St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, in Denise—and it’s given me a new life. It’s given me the ability to not be an addict like my parents, to use my mind for the betterment of others, and to love myself.”

Begins with YOU A SEASON TO SEE THE UNSEEN
The holidays have a way of calling us back to what matters most—faith, family, compassion, and the quiet but powerful act of giving. As lights go up and calendars fill, there are still many who sit in silence, carrying burdens too heavy to bear alone. But what if this season, you could be the spark that changes everything for someone else?
The founders of City Lifestyle, through their private foundation, are once again launching its annual Christmas Giving Campaign—a heartfelt effort to seek out and support individuals and families who have quietly fallen through the cracks. The mission is simple: to bring light, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
Since its beginning just four years ago, this initiative has grown from a humble idea into a life-changing movement. Last Christmas alone, more than 200 families across the country received unexpected support—financial relief, but also something even more powerful.
“We don’t just send checks,” says Steven Schowengerdt, CEO and founder of City Lifestyle. “We send a message: You are seen. You are loved. And you are not forgotten.”
Together with City Lifestyle President Matthew Perry, Steven has helped shape this into a tradition that goes far beyond charity. “This is about community,” Matthew adds. “We believe we’ve been blessed, so now we get to be a blessing.”
Every story begins with a nomination. Often, it’s a neighbor, coworker, friend, or teacher—someone who’s been quietly carrying too much for too long. One past recipient, after receiving unexpected support during a time of deep personal struggle, wrote:
SCAN TO NOMINATE
“We send a message: You are seen. You are loved. And you are not forgotten.”
“Beyond the very practical solution of receiving funds to fix my car, this thing you guys worked together to do is bigger than that. I carry the Christmas card you sent in my purse. When things get really hard, I pull it out and remember what it felt like to be seen. That card represents hope— that change for the better is possible. I’m not sure how many people get to carry hope around in their purse. But I do.”
Another wrote in after her husband was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer and unable to work:
“This support has blessed our family not only financially, but emotionally and spiritually as we trust God to meet our needs throughout this difficult time. Thank you to our anonymous friend and to your foundation. What a joy and gift to be part of God’s family!”
Each year brings countless stories like these—real lives touched by simple acts of kindness. Some use the funds to pay overdue bills, others to afford groceries, medication, or repairs. But no matter the circumstance, the impact is the same: hope is restored.
This season, you have the opportunity to be part of that. The campaign is now open to nominations—completely confidential and prayerfully considered. Whether it’s someone battling illness, facing unemployment, or just in need of a helping hand, you can bring them a moment of grace that will ripple far beyond Christmas morning.
“Knowing my mom was chosen filled my heart with indescribable joy,” said another past recipient. “Your generosity doesn’t just brighten her life; it inspires hope and faith in all of us. It enables her to stay in her home and get back on her feet.”
Nominations are open from November 1st to December 5th, 2025. To submit someone you know, simply scan the QR code or visit @CityLifestyle on Instagram, where you’ll find the nomination form in the bio.
This holiday season, let’s give more than gifts. Let’s give each other the gift of being seen. Because sometimes, the smallest gesture becomes someone’s greatest miracle.

Ready to Find Your Freedom?

SERVING VETERANS, SERVING COMMUNITY
As November marks Veterans and Military Families Month, Marine veteran Jesse Keenan reflects on how his time in service shaped his life and the values behind his company, Semper Fi Heating & Cooling. Built on trust, discipline, and community, his business is dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START SEMPER FI HEATING & COOLING AFTER YOUR SERVICE IN THE MARINES?
As my HVAC career took off, I saw a real need for the veteran and first responder community that nobody was addressing. My goal from the beginning was to keep veterans, first responders, and their families a tight-knit community.
HOW DO YOUR VETERAN EXPERIENCES INFLUENCE THE WAY YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS?
With the military, the company runs like a disciplined machine with high ethics, and that carries over to homeowners. We have a process and a standard of ethics when entering any house. It’s not always easy to build trust, so we do our due diligence with background checks and technician training. Our goal is to make sure we always do the right thing.
HOW DOES SEMPER FI HEATING & COOLING SUPPORT VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES?
We have a standard 20 percent discount for veterans, first responders, and their families. We want to ensure they’re taken care of. We go above and beyond so no veteran goes without air conditioning or heating. Whether that means covering the cost of a part or service, we never want to leave a veteran behind or in need.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER VETERANS LOOKING TO START THEIR OWN BUSINESS OR TRANSITION INTO CIVILIAN CAREERS?
Never give up. You’ll hear negativity and people saying you can’t do it. You have to
go back to that military mindset—get the job done no matter what. Some will support you, but others won’t want you to succeed. Block that out and focus on the mission. When you reach your prime in a career, you’ll look back and realize not quitting was everything. The military mindset really does carry into civilian life.
WHAT LASTING MESSAGE DO YOU HOPE TO PASS ON?
I’d encourage more young people to enter the trades because there’s a huge shortage in HVAC and plumbing. It can be a great career with strong pay, without the cost of college. As technology advances, demand for skilled trades will only grow, and these jobs can offer far more than many realize.

Chef Nittaya celebrates sharing her Thai culture with Las Vegas through food
Thirty years ago, Nittaya Parawong arrived in the United States from her homeland of Thailand in pursuit of a life where opportunities were boundless. She lived with her aunt in Satellite Beach, Florida, attending school and working nights at a local Thai restaurant to make ends meet. It was a start for which she was thankful, but Nittaya knew there was more out there for her.
“It was a small, sleepy town: quiet, peaceful, but not full of opportunities, especially for someone like me trying to find my place and build a future,” she said. “I wanted more, especially the chance to continue my education, maybe attend college, and find work that matched my ambitions.”
That place ended up being Las Vegas after connecting with a long-time friend who had

recently made the move and her decision to take a chance on a job opening in the area a year later. Relocating proved to be life-changing for Nittaya.
Fast forward to today, Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen (nittayassecretkitchen.com) on West Lake Mead Boulevard is thriving, fitting right in with the city’s lively, fast-paced, and diverse culture. The contemporary eatery was founded on Nittaya’s passion for cooking and the beloved Thai meals she grew up on and enjoyed in the family restaurant.
“The kitchen was more than just a place to prepare meals,” Nittaya explained. “It was where memories were made, stories were shared, and traditions were passed down.” This simple but meaningful concept is now the foundation of her own restaurant. “In our kitchen, we cook with love and intention, hoping each guest can feel the warmth and care in every bite.”
Her deep commitment to her Thai heritage and loyalty to authentic, family-inspired dishes are only half of what makes Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen
a special dining experience for guests of all backgrounds. With an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients, Nittaya also gets innovative with her culinary background, serving up spins on classic dishes that invite guests to taste the vibrant flavors of Thailand right here in Vegas. “I’ve reimagined some of these traditional dishes in a small plate or tapasstyle format,” she added. “It brings me happiness to see people having fun exploring Thai food this way–one small, delicious plate at a time.”
Sourcing the finest ingredients for each dish is a duty Nittaya takes seriously with no shortcuts.
“We work closely with a trusted vendor from California who delivers fresh vegetables and produce to us every other day.” The difference is in the details, and she and her staff work hard to ensure quality control is maintained to the highest standard, including the handcrafted selection of top-grade meats and premium seafood.
In many ways, Nittaya has come a long way from her early days in Satellite Beach. She has found a

place she belongs, bursting with opportunity and excitement, and a career that fulfills her love of heritage and connection, making her grateful her path led to Las Vegas where she can share her culture and story with a city who has welcomed it with open arms.
“[The journey] has been a dream come,” she said. “More than that, it has allowed us to create jobs and support our amazing team across four locations.” Nittaya credits the support from guests, her staff, and the community as equally vital players in the restaurant’s success.
A visit to Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen is not just another visit to any Thai restaurant. “Every Thai restaurant has its own unique recipes and cooking styles–passed down through generations or created from personal experience,” Nittaya stressed. “One version isn’t more ‘authentic’ than another; they each tell a different story. What truly matters is the heart we put into every dish.”
Nittaya ultimately hopes that her restaurant extends the same welcome to guests as Las Vegas has to her, thankful for the chance to share her culture in a city that embraced her and opens doors to a world of new adventures. As she said, “It’s not just about food–it’s about sharing culture, memory, and connection.”
