COOKIE COUTURE
Where Hand-Piped Icing Meets High Design

There’s something unmistakably joyful about a beautifully decorated sugar cookie—and no one captures that magic quite like Jaquelyn Rushing, the artist behind Sugar Rush Cookie Co. Known for crisp lines, whimsical touches, and custom creations that feel more couture than confection, Rushing has carved out a niche where style meets sugar. Her journey began with her son’s first birthday. “The theme was Pocoyo—bright, colorful characters. It
sparked so much joy,” she recalls. What began as a labor of love quickly turned into a passion project. By early this year, Sugar Rush Cookie Co. became her full-time career. Each set begins with a sketch. Jaquelyn gathers inspiration from party themes, invitations, and color palettes to create a cohesive, personalized look. “Sometimes I hand-cut cookies with cardstock templates just to make sure the shapes match my vision,” she explains.

A defining moment came with a Frozen-themed order featuring Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. “That was when I pulled out my paintbrushes and leaned into facial details,” she says. “It was the moment I realized—I could really turn this into something special.”
Whether she’s creating cookies for a bachelorette weekend, a corporate happy hour, or a set for The Brett Boyer Foundation, Jaquelyn approaches each project with intention. “I love character cookies and tiny details. They push me creatively in the best way.”
Her behind-the-scenes process is precise and thoughtful: dough is chilled and baked, colors are mixed and rested, and icing is applied in layers— each cookie drying for hours before it's finished. “Decorating is my favorite part,” she says. “And when I photograph the finished set in natural light, I see more than just cookies—I see memories.”
What makes her work stand out, beyond the polish, is the personal connection. “Every set tells a story,” she says. “Whether it’s a baby shower or a retirement party, I want my cookies to capture that moment—something meaningful and sweet, in every sense.”

“If there’s an occasion, there’s a cookie for it—and I love being part of those special celebrations.”
Jaquelyn also teaches monthly cookie decorating classes at local favorites like Breeden’s Orchard, The Artful Abode, and The Bonus Room. “It’s such a fun way to connect with the community,” she shares.
At Lebanon City Lifestyle, Sugar Rush Cookie Co. is our go-to for events. Jaquelyn’s cookies are always a highlight— thoughtful, on-theme, delicious and unforgettable.
“I get to do what I love while being home with my husband and two boys,” she says. “Watching them grow while growing this business—it’s the sweetest gift.”

Timeless Finds CURATED WITH HEART

Though Tulip Grove Farm may not be a farm in the traditional sense, it’s absolutely still a labor of love between Dianne Clark and her daughter, Claudine Williamson. What started with one holiday market has blossomed into a full-fledged vintage styling business, with pop-up shops at top seasonal markets and a permanent booth at Miss Lucille’s Marketplace in Clarksville.
The journey began when Claudine, with more time after her children grew up, asked her mom to join her at Christmas Village. “One show led to another,” Claudine recalls. “We realized how much we loved the hunt—and that it was becoming something meaningful.” Nearly 20 years later, the two balance each other’s styles and strengths, laughing, learning, and collecting along the way.
Their signature aesthetic? “A blend of both our styles,” they say. Dianne leans primitive and farmhouse—think crocks, worn wood, copper, and baskets—while Claudine
How a mother-daughter duo turned vintage passion into a meaningful, memory-filled business

favors a cozy, transitional-traditional look with antique silver, ironstone, and hints of French country. Together, it feels warm, layered, and timeless.
Some of their favorite finds? Tobacco baskets from an old warehouse. Jack Daniel’s barrel lids turned lazy Susans. Crocks repurposed as wine coolers. “But it’s not just about the treasures,” Dianne says. “It’s the customers who come back again and again. The vendors who’ve become like family.”
Seasonally, they each bring their own sparkle. Claudine creates clean, cozy scenes with greenery and twinkle lights, while Dianne loves pulling out vintage cake stands, platters, and mercury glass
ornaments for a nostalgic touch. Together, they’re big fans of lighted branches—they add instant wow to hutches, garlands, or even baskets.
Their golden rule? “Buy what you love—you might end up keeping it!” Whether it’s an old sled turned centerpiece or mismatched goblets on a holiday table, Tulip Grove is more than vintage styling. It’s the joy of discovery, the charm of stories told in objects, and the bond between a mother and daughter doing what they love—together.

STYLE CRAFTED FOR THE ROAD

THE ART OF THE LUXURY MAKEOVER
Katzkin’s approach to automotive interiors goes far beyond aesthetics. “A true luxury makeover is
In 1983, Mitch Katz saw a frustrating gap in the automotive world: if drivers wanted leather seats, their only option was to pay a premium at the dealership for limited styles—or settle for factory cloth. So he and his sister Lesley launched Katzkin with a clear mission: deliver high-quality, custom automotive leather interiors at an affordable price. What began in Montebello, California has since grown into a national network of more than 2,500 professional installers. “Great craftsmanship shouldn’t be limited by geography,” says the Katzkin team. “Whether you’re in Tennessee or Texas, you deserve access to premium leather interiors.” Over four decades and more than three million transformed vehicles later, that vision is still driving everything they do.

Katzkin turns vehicles into design statements with handcrafted interiors that blend runway aesthetics, rugged durability, and personal expression.
about transforming how you experience your vehicle every single day,” they explain. Rather than applying a leather overlay, Katzkin replaces every piece of cloth—from the seats to door panels—with leather precisely engineered for each vehicle’s unique dimensions.
Personalization is at the heart of the brand. With over 3,000 patterns and 120 colors and materials to choose from, options range from sleek factory-style designs to bold, high-fashion statements featuring diamond quilting, contrast stitching, and even tooled leather. “Luxury is getting exactly what you envision— not settling for someone else’s idea of premium.”

SEAMLESS, PERSONAL DESIGN
The journey begins with Katzkin’s online design tool, where clients can select their vehicle’s make and model and start exploring possibilities. But this isn’t a do-it-yourself experience. An Interior Specialist reaches out directly to understand each customer’s lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
“We provide realistic renderings so you can visualize exactly how your interior will look,” they say. After final approval, Katzkin manufactures the custom interior—typically within 48 hours—and ships it to a local authorized installer. Installation takes one to two days, all backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile national warranty.
EXCURSION ELEGANCE, CRAFTED IN EVERY STITCH
This recent local project, an Excursion in Lebanon, demonstrates the level of artistry Katzkin is known for. The build featured rich mahogany leather with ivory inserts, brought to life with the brand’s exclusive TekStitch diamond quilting—a proprietary process that creates three-dimensional precision patterns with functional durability.

“Our seamsters—many with decades of experience— create stitchwork that machines simply can’t replicate.”
From hand-selecting hides to executing over 200 custom-cut pieces, every detail was crafted with care. “Our seamsters— many with decades of experience—create stitchwork that machines simply can’t replicate.” The final product took one to two weeks from start to finish and resulted in an interior that’s both functional and stunningly bespoke.
BUILT FOR BEAUTY—AND LIFE ON THE ROAD
Katzkin doesn’t believe in choosing between elegance and practicality. Their materials are engineered to outperform factory specs, resisting heat, UV rays, scuffs, and wear. From their Suedezkin microfiber—crafted from recycled content— to Katzkin XT, a thick, water-resistant leather built for rugged use, everything is tested to handle real life.
“Our Barracuda leather, for example, combines architectural perforation with contrasting colors for a sophisticated yet durable finish,” they note. “We never compromise beauty for durability—we engineer solutions that deliver both.”

PREMIUM CRAFTSMANSHIP, NATIONWIDE
Even if you’re far from Katzkin’s California roots, the experience is consistent. Whether you’re upgrading a brand-new ride in Nashville or restoring a classic in Lebanon, the process is the same: personalized design, fast production, and certified installation by a trained pro near you.
“These aren’t typical auto shops doing side work,” the Katzkin team clarifies. “Our installers are specialized craftspeople with the right tools and training to ensure a factory-level fit and finish.” Customers can also access Katzkin installations through partners like AutoNation and CarMax.
TRENDING NOW: EVERYDAY LUXURY
According to Katzkin, the biggest shift in auto styling is a move toward everyday luxury—designs that reflect individual personality, not just high-end aesthetics. “People want contrast—two-tone looks, accent stitching, diamond quilting—even in work trucks and family SUVs.”
Custom embroidery, heated and ventilated seating, and mixed materials are on the rise, along with a demand for sustainable materials and smart integrations. “We’re seeing more crossover between automotive and fashion or home design. People want their car interior to feel as curated as their living room.”
A LEGACY OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
At the heart of Katzkin’s success is a team of artisans—pattern makers, seamsters, and quality specialists—many of whom have been with the company for decades. “These aren’t just employees— they’re craftspeople who know their work becomes part of someone’s daily life.”

Looking ahead, the company sees mass customization and deeper OEM collaboration as the future of automotive interiors. But their core values remain unchanged: “We’re a 40-year-old American manufacturing success story built on craftsmanship, service, and style.”
Whether you drive a brand-new SUV or a ten-year-old truck, Katzkin believes you deserve to love your interior. And they’re here to make sure you do.

THE REFINED STYLE OF LEBANON’S HELENE
SINGER CASH
In both fashion and life, Helene Singer Cash brings a rare blend of timeless elegance and rooted authenticity. Born in Philadelphia and raised in South Jersey, she was equally enchanted by New York’s sleek sophistication and the quiet rhythm of rural living. Now, more than 30 years into her Middle Tennessee chapter, she’s found her stride intersecting both worlds.
“I’d describe my style as timeless with a touch of vintage—think Chanel elegance and Armani Privé tailoring,” Helene shares. Black is her go-to, and fit is non-negotiable. “But style isn’t about brands—it’s about how confidently you carry yourself and the kindness you bring.”
Her interiors echo that philosophy: refined, intentional, and layered with story. Tailored furniture, neutral palettes, and curated finds from her travels fill her spaces—not for trend, but for meaning. “If something is beautifully made, timeless, and resonates with who I am, it stays with me.”
After a successful career in real estate, Helene recently stepped into a bold new chapter, now serving as Executive Director of the Tennessee Central Economic Authority. “This role allows me to deepen my commitment to rural, sustainable growth,” she says.

“Style fades. Trends shift. But the way you carry yourself, the things you love, and the life you live—those become your legacy.”
“My passion is preserving rural lifestyle while ensuring our communities move forward.”
She oversees development across a five-county region, Macon, Smith, Trousdale, Wilson and Sumner counties—areas rich in tradition but ready for thoughtful progress. “If we’re not growing, we risk becoming stagnant. Finding the fine tuned balance of the future is key.”
Helene’s connection to the land came later in life, following personal turning points that helped her slow down and root deeper. Whether she’s in a structured blazer or worn-in boots, it all tells the same story: one of craftsmanship, care, and intentional living.
“One meaningful piece can outshine a hundred perfect ones,” she says. “Style fades. Trends shift. But the way you carry yourself, the things you love, and the life you live—those become your legacy.”

Art deco charm meets modern event style in a venue designed for unforgettable, fashion-forward celebrations

ARTICLE BY LINDSEY HICKMAN | PHOTOGRAPHY BY CEDAR & LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
The Capitol Theatre is far more than a historic backdrop for movie nights—it’s a vibrant, flexible venue where unforgettable events unfold. With its iconic marquee, art deco charm, and variety of rental spaces, the Capitol offers something truly unique for weddings, showers, banquets, concerts, meetings, and more.
“Our motto is a stage for any setting’ because we host such a wide range of events,” says the Capitol team. From the grandeur of the Auditorium to the charm of the upstairs Attic, each space offers distinct character and versatility.
Beyond its striking aesthetic, the theatre surprises visitors with its size, amenities, and thoughtful support. Custom floor plans, event coordination options, and your name lit up on the marquee are just a few of the touches that make the experience memorable.
Whether you're planning something intimate or elaborate, the Capitol is where history meets celebration—and every guest leaves feeling like the star of the show.
A STAGE FOR ANY SETTING
The art deco Auditorium is a showstopper. With seating for 400, a large stage, full sound system, and projection screen, it’s ideal for weddings, proms, recitals, and large corporate gatherings. From romantic vows to full-scale concerts, this space transforms to meet the moment—and its historic elegance always sets the perfect tone for unforgettable events.
TAILORED TOUCHES

The Attic offers warmth and intimacy, ideal for showers, private dinners, and milestone parties. With string lights, exposed brick, and space for 50 guests, it’s both cozy and photogenic. A spiral staircase adds visual flair, while elevator access ensures inclusivity. It’s perfect for meaningful moments with close family, friends, or colleagues in a beautifully unique setting.
Rentals include custom floor plans, and every event gets its name in lights on the marquee—a favorite photo moment. Add-ons like tech support, bartender service, or a nostalgic popcorn machine elevate the experience. While preserving the building’s charm limits some décor, the space remains flexible, allowing each event to feel personal, stylish, and completely your own.
STYLE MEETS SERVICE
Capitol Theatre’s team offers optional coordination and trusted vendor referrals to simplify planning. With events happening yearround, from nonprofit galas to winter holiday parties, booking early is key. To explore the space, check dates, or start planning, visit CapitolTheatreTN.com, email Info@capitoltheatretn.com, or call 615-784-4014. Danielle or Elizabeth will help bring your vision to life.

Toast to the Touchdown
AY JITTERS CO F FEE COCKTAIL

When September hits, it’s time to kick off football season with a festive watch party. Gather your crew and cheer on your favorite team with spirited décor, themed drinks, and seasonal flair.
Set the stage with a gingham tablecloth and football-inspired accents like striped helmets, pom poms, foam fingers, and flowers in your team’s colors. Add a pennant banner in alternating patterns for extra color. If you’re rooting for Rocky Top, bring in fresh oranges to show your spirit—and don’t pack away the pumpkins just yet, since they complement fall’s palette perfectly.
No game day gathering is complete without drinks. On the sidelines, keep guests refreshed with crowd-pleasers from Jackson Morgan Southern Cream. This season, whipped orange cream and spiced pumpkin roll flavors are definite fan favorites. Try both and see which one earns a permanent spot on your flavor roster.
