Men Who Lead With Heart

Summer's rolling in, and with it comes our Gentlemen’s Issue—a toast to modern men doing life with style, purpose, and a little bit of edge.

Whether you're building a brand, raising a family, or just figuring it out as you go, this issue is for you.

This issue also gives a well-deserved nod to Todd Barnes—a man who embodies what it means to lead with heart, hustle, and authenticity. Todd’s energy, vision, and hustle are what this issue is all about. He’s proof that being a gentleman isn’t just about style—it’s about how you show up in the world.

TODD BARNES

A Texas entrepreneur blends faith, hard work, and heart to build businesses, communities, and lasting impact.

Not soon after the sun rises over Texas, Todd Barnes is up at it— coffee in hand, a grateful  heart, and a busy calendar, just the way he likes it. It’s this steady rhythm of faith, grit, and  follow-through that’s defined the life of the entrepreneur who’s made a career out of investing in  what he calls “the people business.”

"Success isn’t about money—it’s about how you care for those who put their trust in you."

“I learned early on that if you’re willing to work hard, treat folks fairly, and know how to sell— well, you won’t be broke for long,” Todd says with a grin of a quiet wisdom. That wisdom? It  started back in Tyler, Texas, under the steady influence of his grandfather, a man who taught him not just how to work— but how to *care* for those who work for you. “Being an employer  isn’t about a paycheck,” Todd says. “It’s about taking responsibility for people who put their trust  in you.”

It’s that belief that’s driven every decision Todd has made over the last two-and-a-half decades.  After earning his degree from Texas Tech, and a stint back home with his grandfather's  insurance company, Todd set out on his own and entered the human capital industry—first as a  reliable hand in the world of

PEOs (Professional Employer Organizations), and later as a full blown entrepreneur. Payroll services, Human Resources, contract staffing, employment  solutions—if it involves people, Todd’s probably led it. And led it well.

But Todd’s not one to rest on past successes, he’s always looking for ways to turn ideas into  solutions. His latest venture, *The Social Hive*, was born from his talented team simply  managing their own social media. During a regular team meeting, discussing the needs for  updated social media marketing for one of his businesses, someone mentioned that someone  on their own staff excelled in that area. “It turned out that Kristine Barrera geeked out over that  sort of thing. She really understood it. So, we asked her if she’d be interested in helping out and  she just lit up! CONTINUED >

We were doing reels for ourselves—nothing fancy,” Todd recalls. “But clients  noticed. They started asking us to help with theirs. One thing led to another, and here we are.”

“Here” is a brand-new, 5,000-square-foot space in Prosper—laying the foundation for a state of-theart podcast and video studio, creative suites, and the kind of laid-back vibe where  innovation doesn’t feel like work. The Social Hive is already buzzing— serving clients hungry for  authentic, engaging content. But true to form, Todd sees it as more than a business. “It’s a  platform to grow people, to develop their gifts and help them tell their stories.”

The Barnes Group comprises Barnes Employment of Texas, Barnes HCM (Human Capital  Management), Barnes Medical Staffing, Barnes Contract Management, Route 2 Motoring, West  Range Capital and the aforementioned Social Hive. A visionary with a can-do mindset makes  for a dynamic skill set, eager to dig in and see what happens. His path has not always been an easily paved path to success. Life has had its lessons, for sure, but Todd definitely feels what he  calls God's Favor. “I am not sure what I’ve done to deserve it, but God has certainly shown me

"In a world where success is often measured by dollars and flash, true greatness lies in faith, hard work, and in leaving everything a little better than you found it."

Off the clock, which is rare for this self-professed workaholic, Todd is just as grounded. He’s  been married to his bride, Amy for 20 years—a partnership built on faith, laughter, and shared  adventures. Together, they’ve raised two active kids who make them proud. When he's not  enjoying his family, you’ll find Todd out at the ranch, riding his Harley, or enjoying a slow cigar  on a Texas porch.

“I love the outdoors. I love horsepower— whether it’s a Quarterhorse, V8 or a Harley. And I love  time with my people,” Todd says. “Simple as that.”

That simplicity—rooted in values, not flash—is what makes Todd such a respected figure in his  community. But don’t mistake “simple” for small-minded. His heart is big, and it shows in the  causes he supports.

From breast cancer awareness in honor of his mother, to the prevention of  human trafficking, Todd doesn’t just write checks—he shows up. He supports the Boot  Campaign to care for families left behind by war. And as a Founding Director of Rodeo Celina, he’s committed to preserving local heritage and bringing the community together. As a Navy  brat he looks forward to riding that beautiful shiny Harley with the local Patriot Guard Riders to  honor fallen service members.

Being active within the community is deeply meaningful to Todd Barnes, as if being CEO of The  Barnes Group was not enough. "You know, helping people find employment, or finding the right  employees for companies. As a Founding Director of Rodeo Celina, Todd lives what he  believes—that giving back

"Being a gentleman isn’t about suits or status— it’s about how you treat others, lead with kindness, and live your life in a way that leaves a mark of goodness."

to the community and building a stronger future for others, especially  youth, is simply the right thing to do. He has made this belief a foundational principle in how  The Barnes Group conducts business. In addition to his work with Rodeo Celina, Todd has also  served on the board of the Greater Celina Chamber of Commerce and remains an active  member there as well as the Little Elm and Prosper Chambers of Commerce.

Ask Todd what being a gentleman means in today’s world, and he won’t talk about tailored  suits, social status, or formal etiquette. “Sure, open the door for ladies and elders, know how

to  act in public and not embarrass yourself or your family,” he chuckles. “But being a gentleman?  It’s more about how you treat people… with respect and kindness. It’s putting others first. It’s a  lifestyle.”

In a world where success is often measured by dollars and flash, Todd Barnes reminds us that  the true mark of a man lies in his consistency, his character, and the care he gives to others.

From the boardroom to the backwoods, Todd walks the talk. He builds things—businesses,  relationships, trust. And he leaves everything just a little better than he found it.

Now that’s a gentleman.

PLANT-BASED DIETS AND MEN’S TESTOSTERONE— WHAT’S FACT VS. FICTION? WONDERING IF SWITCHING TO A PLANT-BASED DIET COULD IMPACT TESTOSTERONE LEVELS IN MEN? THIS QUESTION HAS SPARKED MUCH DEBATE, WITH MANY MYTHS CIRCULATING ABOUT THE EFFECTS OF PLANT-BASED EATING ON MALE HORMONES. FROM CONCERNS ABOUT SOY TO THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DIET AND MUSCLE GAIN, THE ANSWERS AREN’T ALWAYS CLEAR. FIND OUT BELOW WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS AND UNCOVER THE TRUTH BEHIND COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT PLANT-BASED DIETS AND THEIR IMPACT ON TESTOSTERONE.

DOES SWITCHING TO A PLANT-BASED DIET REALLY LOWER TESTOSTERONE LEVELS IN MEN?

Whether already following a plant-based diet or considering switching to one, plant-based diets do not lower testosterone levels. Several studies have shown no difference in testosterone levels when comparing men who follow a plantbased diet vs. one that contains meat and that soy does not affect male reproductive hormones, including testosterone.

WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON MYTHS SURROUNDING SOY AND MALE HORMONES?

Common myths surrounding soy include that it lowers testosterone levels and that it contains estrogen, which will feminize men. While soy contains phytoestrogens, which are similar in structure to estrogen, they have a weaker effect and do not have feminizing effects. Another common myth is that soy consumption increases the risk for prostate cancer, which has also been debunked through extensive research.

WHICH PLANT-BASED FOODS CAN ACTUALLY HELP SUPPORT HEALTHY TESTOSTERONE LEVELS?

Magnesium-rich foods like leafy greens, beans, and quinoa and zinc-rich foods like beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, and tofu are essential for testosterone production. Healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and seeds support hormone production. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts contain compounds that may help balance estrogen levels, indirectly supporting testosterone.

CAN A PLANT-BASED DIET SUPPORT MUSCLE GAIN AND STRENGTH TRAINING GOALS FOR MEN?

Yes, it is possible that a varied and well-planned out plantbased diet can support muscle gain and strength training goals. To see these benefits, it’s important to incorporate resistance training and consume adequate leucine amounts, the primary amino acid involved in muscle growth. Research suggests that animal protein may lead to more muscle mass gains compared to non-soy protein but that there is no significant difference in muscle strength or physical performance. Bottom line is that muscle gain and strength benefits can be seen with a plant-based diet, but it needs to be one that’s wellthought out and consistently followed for desired benefits.

PRE-WORKOUT NUTRITION FOR MEN: NATURAL BOOSTS VS. SYNTHETIC STIMULANTS: AS CONCERNS GROW REGARDING THE SAFETY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF SYNTHETIC PRE-WORKOUT FORMULAS, MANY FITNESS ENTHUSIASTS ARE TURNING TO NATURAL ALTERNATIVES. COFFEE, RICH IN CAFFEINE, ENHANCES ENDURANCE, STRENGTH, AND POWER WHEN CONSUMED 30-60 MINUTES BEFORE TRAINING. BEETROOT JUICE, CONTAINING NITRIC OXIDE-FORMING COMPOUNDS, BOOSTS BLOOD FLOW AND OXYGEN METABOLISM, IMPROVING BOTH ENDURANCE AND MUSCLE FORCE. WE’LL EXAMINE THESE NATURAL PRE-WORKOUT SOLUTIONS, EXPLORE TIMING AND NUTRITIONAL STRATEGIES FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE, AND IDENTIFY WHICH SYNTHETIC INGREDIENTS TO AVOID FOR SAFER, MORE EFFECTIVE WORKOUTS.

ARE NATURAL PRE-WORKOUT OPTIONS LIKE BEETROOT JUICE AND COFFEE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS SYNTHETIC SUPPLEMENTS?

Natural pre-workout options can be a great alternative to synthetic supplements, which are sometimes more questionable, less studied, and potentially more dangerous. Caffeine from coffee, for example, has been shown to improve aerobic endurance, muscular endurance, movement velocity (speed), as well as strength, sprinting, and jumping. The most effective time to have coffee would be within 30 - 60 minutes of your training session. Of note: While caffeine is beneficial, too much can cause adverse effects. When it comes to exercise, effective doses of caffeine are around 3 mg per kilogram body weight, so do a little calculation to make sure you’re taking in the right amount. A beetroot supplement that contains adequate nitric oxide-forming compounds may also be a great ergogenic aid. Studies indicate that it can help enhance blood flow and therefore oxygen metabolism, which is critical for energy production within the cells. It has been linked with both improved endurance as well as muscle force production.

WHAT INGREDIENTS SHOULD MEN AVOID IN COMMERCIAL PRE-WORKOUTS—AND WHY?

The biggest issue with many of the commercial pre-workout formulas is that they contain ingredients with very little research backing their effectiveness. These companies may make big claims but their product could fall short. Choose products that have been third-party tested to help ensure the product is safe, high quality, and contains what it claims on the label. Supplement ingredients that are banned in the United States and should be avoided: DMAA, DMHA, ephedrine, anabolic steroid derivatives. Some pre-workout formulas contain stimulants such as oxilofrine and synefrine. While these are not illegal, they do have potential negative side effects and are banned by the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) which regulates substances in sports throughout the world. And finally, try to avoid products with fillers, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives - all of which could cause gastrointestinal issues.

"FUEL

YOUR

WORKOUTS THE SMART WAY—NATURAL OPTIONS LIKE COFFEE AND BEETROOT JUICE CAN POWER PERFORMANCE WITHOUT THE RISKS HIDDEN IN MANY COMMERCIAL PRE-WORKOUTS."

HOW DOES TIMING AND MEAL COMPOSITION AFFECT ENERGY AND PERFORMANCE DURING WORKOUTS?

Timing of meals is imperative when it comes to performance. When it comes to endurance or high intensity workouts, carbs are king. Decades of research has shown that taking in adequate carbs before and after a workout can both improve performance as well as increase how long you’re able to workout before fatigue sets in. Aim for easy-to-digest carbohydrates, such as a banana, raisins, toast or English muffin with jelly, low-fiber cereal, or granola bar, about 30 minutes before a workout to boost energy levels and provide readily available fuel for your muscles. Remember that the closer to your workout you eat, the smaller and more digestible the snack needs to be. When it comes to pure strength and resistance training and performance, studies show that eating carbs is much better than eating nothing, but that not as much is needed as with endurance training. Pair about 15 grams of carbs with 0.3g/kg protein to help with muscle protein synthesis (MPS).

WHAT ARE THE SAFEST AND MOST RESEARCHBACKED WAYS TO GET A PERFORMANCE EDGE NATURALLY?

While most commercial pre-workouts are a waste of money, many people keep using them because it’s part of a ritual and provides some perceived (even if placebo) benefits. If you’re really looking for that performance edge, make a swap in your pre-workout ritual to natural products that actually work. First, make sure you’re hydrated or your performance will suffer. Eat a carb-rich preworkout snack. Include some protein if you’re lifting. Then consider these additional research-backed performance boosters: caffeine, beetroot juice or powder, creatine, and betaine.

EXERCISE AS A MENTAL HEALTH PRESCRIPTION: WHAT WORKS BEST FOR MEN? EXERCISE IS OFTEN LINKED TO BETTER MENTAL HEALTH, BUT HOW EXACTLY DOES IT INFLUENCE MEN'S EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING? FROM CARDIO AND STRENGTH TRAINING TO YOGA, DIFFERENT WORKOUTS PROVIDE DISTINCT BENEFITS. EXPLORE WHICH TYPES OF EXERCISE MIGHT BE MOST SUSTAINABLE FOR BUSY MEN AND DISCOVER PRACTICAL STRATEGIES TO MAINTAIN CONSISTENCY—EVEN WHEN MOTIVATION AND MENTAL ENERGY ARE RUNNING LOW.

HOW DO DIFFERENT TYPES OF EXERCISE— CARDIO, WEIGHTLIFTING, YOGA—AFFECT MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH?

Cardiovascular exercise such as swimming or running contribute to the release of endorphins, which is also known as a “feel good” hormone. This hormonal release can be helpful with symptoms of anxiety or depression, and generally overall improve mood. In comparison, regular strength training such as weight lifting may positively contribute to male mental health in that it may boost testosterone levels, as well as improve body image. Lastly, yoga, being a practice focused on breath, meditation, strength, movement, and mindfulness, is effective for many individuals in reducing stress levels and anxiety.

WHICH FORMS OF EXERCISE PROMOTE THE MOST SUSTAINABLE MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS FOR BUSY MEN?

Examples of exercises which may be of specific benefit and most sustainable for busy men include:

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts which are often completed in shorter time durations (30-45 minutes). They usually incorporate endurance and strength training.

Weight lifting can also be completed in a shorter amount of time, varying from 20-40 minutes sometimes, and especially once a good routine/habit is established.

Yoga can also be completed in shorter time durations. It’s a great way to start the day, even with a 15-minute practice, helping with mindfulness which in turn benefits anxiety symptoms.

HOW CAN MEN STAY CONSISTENT WITH FITNESS ROUTINES WHEN STRUGGLING WITH MOTIVATION OR MENTAL FATIGUE?

When struggling with mental health or motivation, it is especially important to set realistic physical activity goals which can be achieved, and then slowly progress in intensity and/or duration. For example, someone may find it challenging at first to achieve 10000 steps per day, so a good place to start may be 5000 steps. And then each week or 2 weeks increase by 1000 steps until the ultimate 10000 step goal is achieved. This gradual progression helps to build confidence, and establishes regular physical activity habits, thus in turn benefiting motivation.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A COWBOY

DISCOVER THE WHIMSY OF THE WEST AT PAWS UP MONTANA

Favorably referred to as the “Last Best Place” and the “Treasure State,” Montana has captured the hearts of cinematic cowboys like Taylor Sheridan and Harrison Ford and inspired the television series, “Yellowstone” and its prequels, “1883” and “1923.” Though fictional, they’ve reminded America of its deeply-rooted spirit for adventure and the simple yet rugged way of life that we all crave. Whether its the backdrop of jagged, snowcapped peaks or the endless golden pastures that are peppered with livestock, this Rocky Mountain soil is a breeding ground for dreamers and doers, and the people who call it home are no strangers to the ritual of ranch life.

So, you want to be a cowboy? Slipping on some leather and having a little hide in your hat are good ways to start, but visiting a resort that brings the best of this life to the forefront, while also embracing modern luxury, is the experience of a lifetime.

Paws Up Montana sprawls the distance of 37,000 private acres of historic estateland, which houses a working ranch and 10 miles of Blackfoot river. Personalization is key—a divine selection of cuisine for the foodies, awe-inspiring activities for the adrenaline seekers, and world-class lodging that tickles every fancy from stargazing glamping, to timber-style family dwellings, to the uniquely designed green “o hauses” that invite the outside world in.

WHAT TO DO

To change your attitude, you need a change in altitude. Gain some speed or turn up the adrenaline level with ATV tours, electric biking, mountain biking, go-karts, paintball, rappelling down Lookout Rock or whitewater rafting down the Blackfoot River. Indulge in the western art of living with archery, fly-fishing, hiking or sporting clays. For those who want to immerse themselves in the language of horses, there are horse-related adventures such as lessons, grooming or feeding, horse-whispering workshops or organized trails rides. Riders can also enjoy cattle drives that bring you back to yesteryear—driving a herd of cattle across the famed landscape—and bear witness to mustang gentling, where the Equestrian Manager communicates with a wild horse through body language and tone of voice. Skyline Aerial Adventure Park is another notable warm-weather activity, taking guests on two high-ropes courses.

WHERE TO STAY

Luxury Homes are categorized into preference-based properties that boast the thrill of wilderness living. For larger families and multigenerational groups, consider the Wilderness Estates. At 3,250-squarefeet, these estates sleep up to eight guests and feature three large suites with private baths. The Big Timber Homes are available in one-to-three bedroom options and come ornamented with fire places and private decks. The Meadow Homes are 1,100-square-foot single-story homes that sleep up to four guests, situated amid a pastoral and treed setting. For an extra nod of perfection, choose one of the luxury homes that comes equipped with a private tent—ideal for anyone traveling with children (or adults who beckon back their childhood!).

For a more primitive experience, Glamping Homes offer the right amount of canvas to create a close-to-nature experience. Available mid-May through mid-October, choose from river settings to creeksides, bluffs or cliffs. Each tent is adorned with something unique—a copper tub, a picturesque view of Lewis and Clark’s famous Lookout Rock and Western-chic furniture throughout. Zip down the windows to allow for the cool nightly breeze, yet enjoy the modern convenience of electricity. Each campsite has a dining pavilion. And don’t miss the s’mores boards around the communal fire pit, offered by your own s’moresologist—yes, you read that right, and yea, it’s a thing.

Lastly, but certainly not least, are the state-of-theart accommodations of the Green O hauses. This portion of the property is completely curated for those 21 years of age and older. It’s a resort within a resort, a hidden pearl in an oyster of experience. The Tree Haus is elevated 23 feet in the air and offers unparalleled forest views. The Green Haus includes a skylight above the bed for an unmatched view of pluck-emfrom-the-sky stars. The Round Haus has curved, floor-to-ceiling windows that offer 180-degree panoramic views. Both the Green and Round Hauses are dog friendly, too, so Fido can rest in the lap of luxury. The Light Haus is illuminated by skylights and unique glass design.

DRINK & DINE

Montana’s best kept secret? Our hideaway chefs, making waves from the Montana wilderness. Chef Brandon Cunningham, Executive Chef at the Green O, is a James Beard Award finalist whose creations at the Social Haus are highly curated through an 8-course tasting menu. Other highly trained and talented chefs like Chef Brett Edlund, Chef Ben Scott, Executive Pastry Chef Krystle Swenson, and Sunny Jin, the General Manager of Food and Beverage, are part of the intricate patchwork of the culinary experience at Pomp, Trough, Shed, Camp and the notable Chuck Wagon—a summertime treat where guests can ride a hay wagon along the banks of the Blackfoot River for an Old West-inspired chuck wagon dinner. The menu ranges from all-natural chicken and Tomahawk ribeye to fresh vegetables grilled over an open flame campfire.

HOW TO GET HERE

Airport: Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) Airport transfers from Missoula are complimentary for guests and all luxury home and Green O accommodations come with a Lexus luxury SUV for transportation use on property.

GIVE YOUR MAN HIS SPACE

A Look at The Man Cave

Ok ladies, for those of you that live with your man and are not too keen on his collection of deer heads or affinity for all things Chicago Blackhawks, then let me help you create his very own man cave, that you and he can be proud of.

COMFORTABLE SEATING

With how a man cave is usually done in mind, there are plenty of ways to make this hideaway both agreeable and full of style. I always start with what is most important to your man and 9 out of 10 times it is comfortable seating. So, with that in mind, I start with smart seating. Do we need a sectional? Can we get away with a cool reclining chair? Do we need Barstools? Comfortable, durable, and stylish seating is my jumping-off point.

THE RIGHT TELEVISION

Next, of course, there will need to be a TV for gaming and/or sports watching. Try and get him the size he wants, if it can work in space and not be too obnoxious (ladies, you’ll thank me later) because this is all men truly care about. He gets his big TV, then you have more of an opportunity to get what you want in the rest of the house. It’s a win-win.

EXPRESSIVE DECOR

Lastly, without getting too “theme-y,” I organize what he loves and treasures into a gallery wall. I recently did one wall of really cool wallpaper for a husband that was a huge Star Wars fan. It was a black and white Star Wars print that gave this aficionado a fun way to bring his subject matter and style together.

No matter who you are or what you like, I believe every person needs a space where he or she can relax, breathe and be joyful in. Man Caves are no exception.

SUMMER GRILL

RECIPES

THESE DELICIOUS RECIPES ARE LIGHT, BRIGHT AND FEEL LIKE SUMMER

The sun has returned, and grilling season is upon us. With the nice weather comes vegetable gardens and fresh produce, along with the overwhelming desire to be outside as much as possible. We’ve compiled some fresh and light dishes that you can shop for at your local farmers market and whether you’re looking for a quick mid-week meal or something to grill for a crowd on the weekend these dishes won’t disappoint. These pair well together or can stand on their own!

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place skirt steak into gallon freezer bag

2. Combine all other ingredients in bowl and mix. Pour over steak and marinate for 3-4 hours or overnight in the fridge.

3. Bring skirt steak to room temperature by letting it sit out for one hour.

4. Get your grill hot on one side and medium on the other.

5. Once the grill is ready, wipe excess marinade off steak. Starting on the hot side, place skirt steak on grill for 2 minutes per side, attaining a nice sear.

6. Transfer steak to the cooler side of grill and cook until the internal temp is 130°. Let rest for 10 minutes (temp will rise while resting).

7. Carve and serve. This dish pairs well with beans and rice or served as tacos. Following is a chimichurri sauce that compliments it nicely.

*Outside skirt steak is a more tender cut than inside skirt steak, for this recipe outside skirt is recommended. Do not use too much lime as the citrus can cook the meat before putting it on the grill, resulting in a tougher texture.

SIMPLE SKIRT STEAK

INGREDIENTS:

• 2lbs. Outside skirt steak*

• 2 Tablespoons lime*

• 2 Tablespoons finely,

chopped cilantro

• ¼ Cup olive oil or avocado oil

• ¼ White onion, finely chopped

• 1 Tablespoon cumin

• Salt and pepper to taste

CHIMICHURRI

INGREDIENTS:

• ½ Cup parsley, finely chopped

• ½ Cup cilantro, finely chopped

• 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar

• 3 Cloves garlic, minced

• 1 Red chili (whole or deseeded depending on desired level of heat)

• ½ Teaspoon dried oregano

• 1 Teaspoon salt

• 1 Tablespoon lime juice (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. You can make this in the late morning and let it sit for around 4-6 hours, or you can make it the day before and let the flavors meld overnight in the fridge. Just be sure to take it out and get it to room temp before you serve it, as olive oil hardens in the fridge. Serve over skirt steak or tacos.

ROASTED CORN SALSA

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 Ears sweet corn

• 10oz. Cherry tomatoes

• ¼ Cup lime juice

• 1 Finely chopped jalapeno or serrano (whole or deseeded depending on desired level of heat)

• ¼ Cup cilantro, finely chopped

• ½ Cup white onion, chopped

• 2 Cloves garlic, minced

• Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS:

1. Grill corn, you do not need to soak the corn beforehand.

2. Place corn on the grill (inside their husks) over medium heat turning every few minutes.

3. After 10 to 12 minutes shuck the corn and put the cobs back on the grill for 2-4 minutes rotating frequently to achieve that charred look and flavor.

4. Cut the corn from the cob, place in bowl and add all other ingredients. Let the mixture meld for about an hour and serve with tortilla chips or as a taco garnish.
