Celebrate Holiday Cheer!
Happy Holidays!
The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes a surge of that magical spirit that we often seek to recreate from our youthful memories. Whether it's the scents, sounds, lights, holiday festivities, or a combination of all, we tend to infuse our own family traditions with echoes of our own childhood experiences.

In our household, Christmas morning carries a special tradition. We prepare reindeer-shaped pancakes for the kids, drenched in organic maple syrup, all while donning matching holiday pajamas. Even our two canine companions, Lucky and Max, get in on the festive attire. Following this heartwarming breakfast, we convene in our family room, adorned with a Christmas tree that the children helped select and decorate. It's here that we exchange our thoughtful Christmas presents. As our children grow, we discover that Christmas holds an even deeper significance, and it becomes a cherished opportunity to create lasting, love-filled holiday memories as a family. In the words of one of our favorite family movie classics, the Grinch from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," think about that "maybe Christmas doesn't come in a box"; it's so much more!
Wishing you a joyful and heartwarming Holiday Season and a prosperous New Year!

MANE HOUSE MAGIC

Step into Mane House for luxury, personalized hair experiences and holidayready transformations this season.
ARTICLE BY BRIAN BOYER PHOTOGRAPHY BY CHRIS JORDA PHOTOGRAPHY
As the holiday season approaches, many people are thinking about refreshed looks and festive transformations. For co-founders Erlis Baranowski and Stephanie Parizot, creating an exceptional salon experience has always been at the heart of Mane House. From its early days as a small studio two

“We want clients to feel like they’re the only person in the room, always noticed.”
years ago to the stunning new location, the salon has become a destination for clients seeking color, extensions and lived-in styles.
A lot of thought went into choosing the new space, including how it is designed and what clients can expect when they walk through the door. Baranowski explains, “When we started Mane House, we knew we wanted a bigger space that could attract like-minded stylists passionate about hair. It was important for us to create an environment where both our team and clients could feel inspired.”
Parizot adds, “We pride ourselves on the client experience. We want clients to feel like they are the only person in the room. From a warm greeting to beverages like lattes, we make sure everyone is comfortable and feels cared for. It’s the ultimate experience — calm, soothing and welcoming.”
At Mane House, every detail has been designed to support both artistry and comfort. The sleek interior blends modern elegance with cozy touches, allowing clients to relax while stylists work their magic.
Large windows, thoughtful lighting and a layout that encourages conversation all contribute to an environment that feels luxurious yet approachable.
Mane House specializes in extensions and color. What makes its approach distinct and how do they stay on the cutting edge in a competitive market?
“Our focus is on client experience and artistry. We provide tutorials and guidance so clients know how to style their hair for holiday parties or everyday looks,” says Baranowski. “Extensions require maintenance, and we make sure clients understand how to keep them looking perfect. We’re passionate about hair — that’s what sets us apart.”
Parizot adds, “We pride ourselves on personalization. Every guest’s goals and preferences are front and center. From long, detailed services that can last three to five hours to the small comforts — food, beverages and feet up — we want people to feel pampered and noticed.”
The holiday season at Mane House comes alive with signature packages designed to help clients look and feel their best. Color transformations, custom cuts,

glamorous ponytails and hair extensions are among the most requested. Baranowski emphasizes, “We offer tutorials and tips for clients so their hair looks holiday-ready. Even after they leave, we follow up with emails about maintaining extensions and color at home, ensuring their look lasts throughout the season.”
Connection and comfort are central to the Mane House experience. Parizot notes, “We make sure clients feel noticed throughout their visit. We talk through goals, preferences, and desired results, and then we deliver. When they leave, we follow up with feedback and care instructions. Social media and online reviews help us stay connected, but nothing replaces that in-person connection.”
Looking ahead to 2026, both co-founders are focused on growth and community. “One of our biggest goals is to attract more talent — people who are driven and passionate,” Baranowski shares. “We want to teach in the salon, grow our co-creators through apprenticeships, and support stylists who might otherwise feel their careers have stalled. Creating a space where like-minded individuals can grow together is essential.
“We also plan to expand our services and continue enhancing the guest experience. Every detail matters — from personalized consultations to the smallest touches that make someone feel special.”
The story of Mane House is also a story of lifelong passion. “I’ve always intended to do hair,” Baranowski says. “It’s been a dream since I was younger, and creating Mane House has allowed us to bring that dream to life every single day. For us, it’s about more than hair. It’s about connection, artistry and giving clients a space where they feel at home while we make them look incredible.”
This holiday season, Mane House invites clients to step into their world of color, style and comfort. Whether customers are seeking a bold new look, subtle enhancements, or simply a relaxing experience, the salon ensures every visit feels special. “We want clients to feel like they’re the only person in the room, always noticed,” Parizot emphasizes. “That’s what sets Mane House apart — it’s personalized, thoughtful and luxurious without ever feeling intimidating.”
From the cozy beverages on arrival to the expert guidance on hair extensions and color, Mane House has created an experience that celebrates both artistry and comfort. For Baranowski and Parizot, it’s about making every guest feel renewed and confident — whether preparing for holiday parties, New Year’s celebrations, or simply treating themselves.
As the year winds down, Mane House stands as a testament to what can be achieved when passion, creativity and client care converge. In a season filled with gifts and gatherings, the greatest gift may just be the feeling of leaving the salon with hair that looks amazing, confidence that shines and an experience that lingers long after the holiday decorations come down.

EXPERIENCE TIMELESS TRADITIONS, COZY ESCAPES, AND HOLIDAY MOMENTS AT WOODLOCH
Where Holidays Spark Joyful Family Memories

ARTICLE BY BRIAN BOYER | PHOTOGRAPHY BY ANDREA KILLIAM PHOTOGRAPHY
The magic comes from the moments families share together, away from screens and schedules.
Nestled in the serene Pocono Mountains in Hawley, Pennsylvania, Woodloch has been creating cherished family memories for nearly seven decades. Since opening in 1958, this family-owned resort has become synonymous with togetherness — a place where the pace slows, laughter echoes across the lake, and the magic of the season is more than just a feeling.
“The holidays at Woodloch are truly something special,” says Erica Bloch, Associate Director of Communications. “We’re built around connection — families coming together, celebrating traditions, and simply enjoying being with one another. It’s not just about what you do here, but how you feel while you’re doing it.”
That feeling begins the moment guests arrive. With three distinct properties — Woodloch Pines, Woodloch Springs, and The Lodge at Woodloch — visitors can choose the experience that best fits their style, from an all-inclusive family adventure to a tranquil spa or golf getaway. “Each property offers something different, but together, they create one complete experience,” Bloch explains. “It’s about flexibility, variety, and comfort.”
At Woodloch Pines, the heart of the resort, the holidays come alive with beloved traditions like Very Merry Woodloch Weekends, Breakfast with Santa, and the wildly popular Gingerbread Wars. Families can join trivia contests, play games, or embark on the Festival of Lights Ride — a glowing journey through the woods synchronized to holiday music. For New Year’s, guests enjoy curated dinners, live entertainment, and a midnight toast. “We want the holidays to feel immersive, joyful, and meaningful,” says Bloch.
Amid the excitement, there’s something deeper that defines Woodloch’s holiday spirit — an intentional return to connection. “So many of our guests come from major metro areas,” Bloch notes.
“They’re looking to escape — to trade screens and schedules for nature and conversation. Whether it’s sitting around a meal with no distractions or watching the snowfall from a lakeside cabin, the magic really comes from the moments families share together.”
That philosophy guides everything Woodloch does. Guests can fill their days with archery, bumper cars, yoga, or Broadway-style shows — or simply slow down and savor the stillness. With meal plans, daily activities, and entertainment all included, there’s no need to leave. “Our mission has always been to treat every guest as if they’re company in our own home,” Bloch says. “Our staff truly embodies that — it’s part of what makes Woodloch so enduring.”
While amenities have evolved — from high-speed Wi-Fi to new outdoor adventures — the heart of Woodloch remains unchanged. “Travel has changed, people’s needs have changed,” Bloch reflects. “But what hasn’t changed is the desire to feel welcome, to belong, to share experiences together.”
That balance of evolution and tradition keeps families returning generation after generation. “If you want adventure, it’s here. If you want peace and quiet, it’s here,” says Bloch. “But no matter what, you leave feeling renewed and reconnected.”
For many, the true Woodloch magic lies in the simple moments — decorating gingerbread houses, strolling snowy trails, or gathering by the fire. As Bloch puts it, “We want people to feel like they’ve gotten back to their roots — to family, to nature, to themselves. That’s what Woodloch is all about.”
Long after the snow melts, families carry that feeling with them — the reminder that the best gifts are the moments shared, in a place where holidays truly feel like home https://www.thelodgeatwoodloch.com/

Our mission has always been to treat every guest as if they’re company in our own home.

Advice on Capturing the Magic of the Season

ARTICLE BY BENJAMIN MEYER | PHOTOGRAPHY BY CHRIS JORDA PHOTOGRAPHY
Chris Jorda, Owner of Chris Jorda Photography
For anyone who’s ever flipped through Chatham + Short Hills City Lifestyle, chances are you’ve admired the work of Chris Jorda. Based in Millburn, NJ, and photographing across New Jersey and New York, Chris is the creative eye behind the beautiful people, products, and local moments that fill our pages.
HOW DID YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY BEGIN?
I’ve been photographing professionally for close to twenty years now, and it’s been quite a journey! My studio is based right here in Millburn, but I shoot all over New Jersey and New York. My work centers around three main categories: weddings, events, and headshots—and, of course, a lot of editorial and product photography for Chatham + Short Hills City Lifestyle magazine . I love that my work allows me to connect with so many different people and tell their stories visually. Every shoot—whether it’s a family celebration or a business profile—is an opportunity to capture authenticity.
YOU PHOTOGRAPH PEOPLE, PRODUCTS, AND MEDIA—CAN YOU SHARE YOUR CURRENT PROJECTS?
Right now, I’m working with a local Christmas tree and ornaments company, which is a fun project. At the same time, I’m doing a lot of headshots and for families who want something timeless yet fresh family portraits.
MANY READERS MIGHT BE CONSIDERING GIFTING A CAMERA THIS HOLIDAY. ANY ADVICE ?

Start with how it’ll be used. If it’s for travel, something mirrorless and compact can be perfect. If it’s for someone who wants to learn photography more, invest in a good lens system rather than just the body. Take time to learn it! Even the best camera won’t shine until you get comfortable experimenting.
WHAT’S YOUR TAKE ON GIFTING A FAMILY PORTRAIT FOR THE HOLIDAYS?
It’s one of the most meaningful gifts you can give. You’re freezing a moment in time that’ll only grow more precious. Make it personal— include your pets, your favorite park, your home decked out for the holidays. When those photos go up on the wall, they become part of your family’s story.
So this season, instead of another gadget, give the gift of memories. www.chrisjorda.com , @chrisjordaphotography

Nature-Inspired Seasonal Elegance
Celebrate the season with nature-inspired designs, festive florals and hands-on workshops at Wildly
Floral Co.
WILDLY FLORAL HOLIDAY MAGIC
As the winter season approaches, many people are looking to bring the beauty and warmth of nature indoors. At Wildly Floral Co., that means creating designs that feel effortless, seasonal and full of life.
“We’ve seen more and more people drawn to a nature-inspired, growing garden style of floral design,” says owner Josi Stone. “People want florals that are seasonal and stylish without being overly manicured. For winter, that means evergreens like fir, cedar and holly paired with crisp white and warm burgundy blooms.”
Wildly’s winter collection captures that organic charm. The shop offers winter wreaths in two styles — lush and asymmetrical — each handcrafted using fresh greens and adorned with dried citrus, pinecones, and velvet ribbons. “Every wreath is one-of-akind,” Stone says. “We love seeing how clients choose elements that reflect their personality and style.”
For those dressing up their dining tables, Wildly offers evergreen arrangements and holiday centerpieces designed to last through the season, for both Hanukkah and Christmas celebrations. This year, colorful glass bud vases filled with soft blooms and fragrant evergreens mimic string lights along a table. “It’s a fun way to add brightness and whimsy,” Stone notes. “We want people to feel excited and inspired when they decorate.”

Wildly is also known for its hands-on workshops, which connect participants with the craft of floral design. December’s Wreath Workshops are a favorite, where guests create their own unique pieces using natural embellishments like dried citrus, seed pods, pinecones and bells. “Watching participants craft their own wreaths is one of my favorite parts of the season,” Stone says. “It’s so rewarding to see their creativity bloom.”
A perennial favorite is Wildly’s Flower Subscription, a gift that keeps giving long after the holidays. Recipients receive seasonal bouquets weekly, biweekly, or monthly, with the option to add professional florist shears and a vase. “The subscription celebrates nature year-round,” Stone says. “It helps people feel connected to the changing seasons.”
In addition, Wildly offers gift cards and curated holiday items, including candles, décor and unique accessories — perfect for thoughtful, nature-inspired giving. “We want people to experience

the magic of the holidays through flowers and our curated items,” Stone says. “It’s about celebrating the season in a way that feels warm, personal and beautiful.”
During the holidays, the shop becomes a sensory delight. “We love how the shop fills with the scent of fresh evergreens,” Stone shares. “The mix of fir, cedar and holly with soft blooms creates a festive atmosphere that’s both welcoming and invigorating. Our arrangements bring the season indoors, filling homes with scent, beauty, and holiday spirit.”
What sets Wildly apart is its commitment to natural, flowing designs. Rather than structured bouquets, the shop emphasizes a garden-inspired aesthetic, celebrating seasonal variation. “We love seeing the excitement when clients open their

arrangements,” Stone says. “It’s that spark of joy — the smell, the color, the texture — that makes the season special.”
For those seeking a hands-on holiday experience, Wildly’s workshops and in-shop creations offer a chance to connect, create and celebrate. “Every arrangement we design has a story and a personality,” Stone explains. “It’s our way of making each holiday moment feel unique and memorable.”
As the holidays draw near, Wildly invites customers to explore the shop, join a workshop and bring the magic of winter indoors. “We love each arrangement we design,” Stone says. “Our mission is to help people celebrate in a way that’s joyful, natural and beautiful.”

HOW SMART IT SOLUTIONS SIMPLIFY LIFE—AT HOME AND AT WORK
ARTICLE BY ANA MEYER | PHOTOGRAPHY BY CHRIS JORDA PHOTOGRAPHY
Opposite: Samir Patel, Owner Blue Code Networks
In today’s connected world, technology supports nearly every part of daily life at work and at home. In the workplace, teams rely on secure communication and fast access to critical data, with strong security that protects mission critical email, files, and accounts. At home, families expect consistent connectivity and devices that just work, supported by a home network that performs reliably across devices. When something breaks, the scramble for a quick fix can derail plans and productivity. Samir Patel, owner of Blue Code, removes that stress with a proactive approach that keeps systems reliable before problems arise. His team delivers concierge style IT that makes technology feel effortless and life simpler.
MANY PEOPLE WAIT UNTIL SOMETHING BREAKS. HOW IS YOUR APPROACH DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL, BREAK-FIX IT?
We take a proactive, prevention-first approach. Our team monitors systems, verifies backups, applies updates, and secures computers and networks on a regular schedule to reduce issues before they become disruptions. Because technology can still be unpredictable, whether in a small business or at home, you have direct access to a responsive team that already knows your environment, which shortens resolution time and keeps operations on track. In short, reliable support turns technology from a wildcard into an asset.
WHAT DAY-TO-DAY PAIN POINTS DO YOU SOLVE MOST OFTEN?
For small businesses: weak email security and phishing exposure, inconsistent access to files in the office or on the go, slow or unreliable computers and networks, and gaps in controls such as multi-factor authentication, access policies, and endpoint protection. We manage the environment end-to-end: verify backups, set permissions, enable MFA, update and monitor systems, and standardize business-grade equipment and platforms. The result is fast, secure access to tools and data wherever people work.
For homes: inconsistent Wi-Fi, devices dropping from the network, and coverage that fades from room to room. We assess the layout, replace outdated equipment where needed, and configure the network for consistent coverage and performance so everyday tasks work as they should.
WHAT SIMPLE STEPS CAN IMPROVE SECURITY AND RELIABILITY RIGHT AWAY?
Start with identity and access. Use strong, unique passwords with a password manager, and enable multi-factor authentication for email, file sharing, and any remote access. Keep systems current by applying operating system and application updates on a regular schedule. Confirm that backups are working and restorable, with both local and cloud copies. For networks, use business-grade equipment, create separate guest Wi-Fi, and retire outdated hardware that bottlenecks speed or stability. Treat every device as part of your environment: change default passwords, disable unnecessary features, and remove unused accounts. These steps reduce risk, improve performance, and make support faster when help is needed.
WHAT DOES AN ONGOING RELATIONSHIP WITH BLUE CODE LOOK LIKE, AND HOW SHOULD SOMEONE BEGIN?
It feels like having an in-house team without the overhead. We document systems, track assets and warranties, review alerts, and schedule maintenance on a regular basis. We handle much of the work behind the scenes, and when help is needed, we provide remote and on-site support. The best starting point is an assessment to establish a baseline across computers, networks, security, and backups, followed by clear, prioritized next steps. We implement the plan end to end, delivering organized and predictable technology at work and at home.
