Who? The Jack and Jill Day Celebration and Carole Robertson Ceremony Committee consisted of Dr. Teniesha Wright-Jones (Chair / Host), DaShaun Draper, Jack Howard, Ayisha Mumin, Cora Small, Carmen Sutherlin and Deirdre Young. The Jack & Jill Day Celebration in conjunction with the celebration of Carole Robertson Ceremony is extended Jack and Jill Oakland County families and prospective new members.
Where? Three Cedars Farm, 7897 Six Mile Rd, Northville, MI 48168.
When? Sunday, September 18th, 2022, 12pm-3pm.
What? Our 2022 Jack and Jill Day brought the membership and perspective families together to enjoy fun filled activities for all ages.
How? All age groups honored the importance of Carole Robertson. Group 1 thru illustration of painting on canvas “we’re leaving our imprint on the world”; Group 2 recited a select poem while presenting what Carol Robertson meant to them; Group 3 did a presentation theme around the culture rainbow; and Group 4 told the story of Carole Robertson and provided the meaning of what it meant to them based on their lives today.
Why? In support of the national celebration of Jack and Jill every September as established in 1948 under the direction of Dorothy Wright – our first National President – to focus on the family. Mothers, fathers, teens, and children from Groups 1 through Group 5 enjoy this event.
Programmatic Thrust? Cultural, Educational, Social / Recreational.
