Howe has two advance to regionals in cross country

Jake Fabacher (left) and Marissa Agee (right) advanced Tuesday to run at the regional cross country meet. Howe juniors Jake Fabacher and Marissa Agee will advance to regional competition at the Jesse Owens Complex in Dallas. Agee, who is no stranger to big time races as she competed at state a year ago, finished second in the 3200 meters with a time of 15:14.19 at a warm Bells High School path. She finished only behind Audrey Shaw of Leonard

who clocked in at 14:47.96. Fabacher, who was injured for most of last season, is qualifying past district for the first time as he finished sixth in a field of 33 runners. His time was 19:18.90 with runners from Van Alstyne and Bonham finishing ahead of him. The boys also had Sergio Rico, Brian Flores, Sabien Acevedo, Luke Hardy, Kevin Bateman, and Jason Ortega in competition.

P&Z and city approve zoning change The Howe Planning and Zoning Commission along with the City Council approved a zone change request from Donna Wormsbaker last Tuesday night at the regular meetings. The request was made for a zone change at: G-0825 MARSHALL JOHN C A-G0825,

Howe Fire Department visits Summit Hill Elementary
