Irene Forte unveils Blue Zone-inspired longevity retreat

The Irene Forte Spa at Verdura Resort, a Rocco Forte Hotel, in Italy has a new Longevity Programme inspired by Caltabellotta, an emerging Blue Zone community in the Sicilian mountains. Influenced by the research of professors Gianni Pes and Calogero Caruso, Irene Forte, who is an honorary citizen of Caltabellotta, which is just 22km from Verdura Resort, has created a way to connect guests with the region’s rare natural rhythms and lifestyle practices.

Immersed in change

The Longevity Programme integrates the latest diagnostics, including blood panel analysis, Vega food sensitivity testing and wellness age evaluations. Sicilian healing traditions, soil-to-table produce, natural therapies and gentle movement in nature are complemented by results orientated Irene Forte Skincare treatments. Movement is a cornerstone of the programme and guests enjoy a trek through the Sicani hills, followed by a traditional lunch, introducing them to the landscape now recognised for its contribution to healthy ageing.

The programme is available over six or ten days and includes spa access and a range of therapeutic spa treatments. Insights gained throughout the programme are encouraged to be integrated into positive lifestyle changes once guests return home. www.roccofortehotels.com/hotels-and-resorts/verdura-resort/
