Polhus presents the Arvid sauna barrel

Founded in Sweden in 2001, Polhus is based in Malmo and specialises in knot-timbered wooden saunas. Produced in Estonia, it’s Sauna Barrel Arvid is a cosy sauna for up to four people.

The Arvid has recently been installed as a mountainside attraction at the boutique Welsh hotel Plas Weunydd, in the foothills of Eryri (Snowdonia).

With easy assembly and the option of either an electric or a wood-burning heater, the Arvid is ideal for remote, disconnected locations or spas wishing to offer guests the chance to switch off, step back, reconnect with nature and embrace the art of slow travel. Its stand-alone nature makes it ideal for spa gardens and areas without easy access to mains electricity.

Polhus also supplies elegant cold tubs to complement its saunas. The tubs are made with ThermoWood panels – a thermal treatment that makes the wood weather-resistant and gives it a dark hue. Production is in the Baltics and Polhus ships throughout Europe. www.polhus.co.uk
