Chinese Mask and Puppet Workshop
Hosted by the Cairns and District Chinese Association. Learn about the story of Chinese migration in Cooktown and importance of Chinese lions in the community of far north Queensland. Each participant will make either a Chinese mask or a Chinese hand puppet.

Mau Power Dance Workshop
This hands-on cultural engagement workshop features traditional dancer and performer Joey Laifoo from Thursday Island. Those who attend are taught skills by Mau Power on live performance and traditional dancing.

Learn the art of glass fusing and create your own fused glass bowl and hanging ornament. Items can be collected the following day.
Listening to Places and Plants Workshop - Anne Harris
Explore experimental printing and natural ink making. Working with the plants that Sir Joseph Banks & Solander gathered during their voyage. Each participant would take home 4 printed images and their exploratory samples.
