WE ARE ARCHITECTS BUILDERS

PRECONSTRUCTION EXPERTS TECHNOLOGY INNOVATORS

SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS

We create teams across all departments and areas of expertise to work on a common goal – your project

Rooted in the Southeast, we serve clients across the U.S. and Mexico — spanning markets from Seattle to Michigan, Florida to Guadalajara.

FOR MORE THAN A CENTURY

We’ve evolved from a small contracting company in Houston, Texas, to an internationally acclaimed design, architecture, and construction powerhouse

Founded in 1912, The Beck Group is a collaborative team of designers and builders offering planning, architecture, interior design, construction, and sustainability consulting services.

From the first meeting, you will notice Beck’s unique approach to architecture and construction. We create teams across all departments and areas of expertise to work on a common goal— your project. We believe working together results in a better process and outcome.

We build long-term relationships with our clients and bring quality, value and integrity to each project we touch.

CONTEXT CLARITY CRAFT

Beck’s approach to experiential design

Design That Performs. Build That Inspires.

Design must do more than function, it must spark emotion, elevate experience, and endure. Our architecture performs with purpose: flexible enough to adapt, refined enough to delight, and resilient enough to last. We build what we believe in, and we believe that iconic design and operational excellence are inseparable.

Design is Strategy, Not Sequence.

At The Beck Group, we don’t treat cost, constructability, or performance as afterthoughts. They’re active ingredients from day one. Our integrated model aligns design intent with real-world delivery, ensuring that every bold move on paper is buildable, brand-aligned, and on budget. This mindset is essential for delivering high-performance environments that balance guest experience with operational success.

From Design Vision to Architectural Reality

We adapt the five pillars of Design Thinking: Empathy. Define. Ideate. Prototype. Test This process is agile, iterative, and grounded in reality.

Set-Based Thinking, Not Single-Path Design.

We resist premature convergence. Instead, we work in sets, exploring multiple options, evaluating them through constructability, cost, and performance lenses. This is how we make decisions at the Last Responsible Moment, when we know more, not less.

DESIGN-BUILD, REDEFINED

Beck’s Seamless Integration of Design, Preconstruction, and Construction

At Beck, we redefine the traditional design-build model. Our fully integrated approach brings designers, preconstruction experts, and builders together from day one, ensuring seamless collaboration and real-time insights at every phase of the project.

By working as one cohesive team, we ensure our designs are visionary and supported by accurate cost, coordination, and constructability. With everyone aligned on project goals, we deliver designs backed by budgets, schedules, market trends, and historical data—empowering clients to make informed decisions.

This early collaboration leads to smarter, more cost-effective designs and a smoother, faster path to completion—free from the disconnects that often plague traditional processes.

At Beck, we don’t just build; we create with precision, innovation, and a shared vision for success.

ARCHITECTURE

Visionary Design

Some clients call on us to bring their vision to life, others turn to us for creative inspiration. Regardless, our architecture group presents thoughtful designs that not only enhance community landscapes, but also user experiences. Our team ranks among the ENR Top 500 Architecture Firms and elevates the design and function of gathering spaces, healing spaces and working spaces around the world.

Proven Success

Our talents are proven through the accolades we’ve received and iconic projects we completed. Beck Architecture has been named by the Dallas AIA as architecture firm of the year and we served as co-architect of record for the iconic Nasher Sculpture Center with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano in our hometown of Dallas. Our reputation for design extends to the Caribbean and Asia, where we have completed the SaRang Church and Shinkwang Church in South Korea.

Creativity with Context

We believe spaces should reflect the quality, style and identity of the owners and occupants. We are known for responding to our client’s needs. We take care to consider the context of place and purpose. Whatever the project, design excellence remains our focus.

PRECONSTRUCTION

Preconstruction is more than cost-estimating to its early engagement for a cost-certain future.

Thanks to evolution in the industry over the last 20 years, owners can engage preconstruction teams much earlier in the design process. We are passionate about offering enhanced preconstruction services because we know the 10x return on investment that additional planning provides during project construction.

Beck preconstruction and construction team members engage in the process to assist the team in establishing an accurate overall project budget and advise on constructibility issues to eliminate impacts to cost and schedule. This allows a greater degree of accurate cost information earlier in the process and affords the opportunity for the team to explore more options and achieve a higher level of design within the established budget.

With innovative technology at the core, we value the foundations of time tested estimating practices, but seek continuous improvement by embracing new technology and more collaborative processes.

Our proprietary Business Intelligence Platform provides a host of preconstruction analytics and insights including historical project cost data and a variety of others to help our teams make informed, data-based decisions.

We leverage leading—edge tools like DESTINI Estimator and AI-supported applications into our daily production environment.

With Integrated Estimating, we have continued building on our legacy as multi-disciplinary, technically savvy pioneers with the next generation in model-based estimating and parametric-based cost estimating workflows.
