WE ARE ARCHITECTS BUILDERS

PRECONSTRUCTION EXPERTS TECHNOLOGY INNOVATORS

SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS

We create teams across all departments and areas of expertise to work on a common goal – your project

Rooted in the Southeast, we serve clients across the U.S. and Mexico — spanning markets from Seattle to Michigan, Florida to Guadalajara.

FOR MORE THAN A CENTURY

We’ve evolved from a small contracting company in Houston, Texas, to an internationally acclaimed design, architecture, and construction powerhouse

Founded in 1912, The Beck Group is a collaborative team of designers and builders offering planning, architecture, interior design, construction, and sustainability consulting services.

From the first meeting, you will notice Beck’s unique approach to architecture and construction. We create teams across all departments and areas of expertise to work on a common goal— your project. We believe working together results in a better process and outcome.

We build long-term relationships with our clients and bring quality, value and integrity to each project we touch.

CONTEXT CLARITY CRAFT

Beck’s approach to experiential design

Design That Performs. Build That Inspires.

Design must do more than function, it must spark emotion, elevate experience, and endure. Our architecture performs with purpose: flexible enough to adapt, refined enough to delight, and resilient enough to last. We build what we believe in, and we believe that iconic design and operational excellence are inseparable.

Design is Strategy, Not Sequence.

At The Beck Group, we don’t treat cost, constructability, or performance as afterthoughts. They’re active ingredients from day one. Our integrated model aligns design intent with real-world delivery, ensuring that every bold move on paper is buildable, brand-aligned, and on budget. This mindset is essential for delivering high-performance environments that balance guest experience with operational success.

From Design Vision to Architectural Reality

We adapt the five pillars of Design Thinking: Empathy. Define. Ideate. Prototype. Test This process is agile, iterative, and grounded in reality.

Set-Based Thinking, Not Single-Path Design.

We resist premature convergence. Instead, we work in sets, exploring multiple options, evaluating them through constructability, cost, and performance lenses. This is how we make decisions at the Last Responsible Moment, when we know more, not less.

DESIGN-BUILD, REDEFINED

Beck’s Seamless Integration of Design, Preconstruction, and Construction

At Beck, we redefine the traditional design-build model. Our fully integrated approach brings designers, preconstruction experts, and builders together from day one, ensuring seamless collaboration and real-time insights at every phase of the project.

By working as one cohesive team, we ensure our designs are visionary and supported by accurate cost, coordination, and constructability. With everyone aligned on project goals, we deliver designs backed by budgets, schedules, market trends, and historical data—empowering clients to make informed decisions.

This early collaboration leads to smarter, more cost-effective designs and a smoother, faster path to completion—free from the disconnects that often plague traditional processes.

At Beck, we don’t just build; we create with precision, innovation, and a shared vision for success.

Old Parkland Campanile

DALLAS, TEXAS

The Old Parkland Campanile is a landmark destination that forever altered the Dallas skyline. It was designed in the Jeffersonian style, which maintains the building aesthetic seen throughout the Old Parkland campus.

The façade consists of over 1,600 pieces of carved Indiana limestone, including 20’ tall traditional Greek order columns with elaborately carved capitals, decorative urns, highly detailed carved leafing surrounding the 22’ tall limestone coffered arches at the ground level, 12’ tall cartouches, 15’ diameter clock faces, and numerous other carved elements that can be seen throughout.

AUSTIN, COLORADO

The Nutrabolt headquarters in Austin exemplifies cutting-edge design and construction, integrating advanced building techniques with innovative sustainability strategies. When Nutrabolt, a global nutrition company, decided to relocate from Bryan/College Station, they once again turned to Beck to provide architecture, preconstruction, and construction services—continuing a partnership that began with their original headquarters in 2013.

The new headquarters was designed to be more than just an office; it serves as a destination for employees, fostering innovation and collaboration. The space includes meeting rooms, casual gathering areas, and flexible spaces for presentations, ensuring an adaptable environment for creativity and growth. In keeping with Nutrabolt’s culture, the headquarters also features a state-of-the-art fitness facility that strengthens its brand and commitment to health and wellness. One of the most intricate aspects of the project was the learning center stair, a striking cast-in-place feature that required meticulous formwork to achieve both aesthetic appeal and functionality. One & Two Destiny Way

WESTLAKE, TEXAS

Fidelity Investments’ One & Two Destiny Way campus is a landmark of corporate design embedded in the scenic terrain of Westlake, Texas. Spanning more than 1.2 million SF of Class A office space, the twin phases unfold over a 315-acre natural preserve, blending stone-clad low-rise buildings with forests, lakes, and meadows.

Phase I established the campus vision with a tri-wing 615,000 SF headquarters, 2,500car garage, and amenities including a four-story atrium dining room, fitness center, and trails. Phase II continued this vision, adding 605,000 SF of office space, a second 2,500car garage, sustainable design elements, and LEED® Gold certification.

The architectural language—characterized by locally sourced San Saba and Millsap stone—flows throughout the buildings, connecting interior and exterior in harmony with the site’s natural topography. Designed for long-term adaptability and employee wellbeing, the campus is a benchmark for integrated corporate environments.

A mission-critical federal office seamlessly integrated into an active campus, combining security, sustainability, and precision execution.

Federal Office Building 107

A federal government client needed to expand its existing high-security campus without disrupting campus operations or employees. Beck’s team designed and built a new nine-story office building housing over 1,000 employees along with an 867-space parking deck expansion. Built to LEED Gold standards for sustainability, the building ties into existing buildings, utility systems, walkways, and driveways. With its integrated project delivery strategy, thorough planning and impact analysis as well as the extensive use of innovative technology, materials and building systems, Beck completed the project on budget and a month ahead of schedule while achieving 100% client satisfaction—all despite $14 million in owner-directed scope changes, a two-month delay in the construction start date due to the city permitting process, and unforeseen ground obstacles.

Purpose-built to advance CDC’s mission with efficiency and resilience, Building 107 delivers high-performance office space designed around sustainability and staff well-being, the building reflects a long-term investment in energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and operational durability—all while supporting one of the nation’s most vital public health agencies.

A seamless blend of sustainable innovation and cohesive campus design, crafted for wellness and efficiency.

Federal Office Building 108

CHAMBLEE, GEORGIA

Blending sustainable innovation and cohesive campus design, Building 108 marks the next development phase on this high-security campus, following the success of Building 107. Designed and built by Beck, the nine-story, 260,000-square-foot office tower prioritizes sustainability, wellness, and performance.

The building features an optimized envelope to balance daylight, glare control, thermal performance, and visibility. Enhanced vertical circulation encourages stair use, while destination dispatch elevators improve efficiency and support social distancing.

The office floor plate maximizes natural light, views, and energy performance with a streamlined core layout and logical program groupings. To ensure a cohesive campus, we incorporated materials and design elements that complement Building 107, advancing the campus’s vision for a healthier, high-performing workplace.

Shattering the skyline with bold design, vibrant public spaces, and next-level urban living.

Field Street District

DALLAS, TEXAS

The design team wanted to create real public space in Downtown with the idea of an “Urban Valley” that would be composed of a series of stepped pedestrian terraces. This Urban Valley would fill a void that has existed within downtown for decades and would become a backdrop and identity of the city for all those arriving from the north. These terraces would house retail and restaurant uses. From this podium base would spring a 60-story office building and a residential tower that could be phased in 500-unit towers. The tower design is based on the idea of a fold. The plan is a simple rectangle, but the façade is a faceted parallelogram that relates to the Perot Museum and Fountain Place by Pei Cobb Freed. The tower would have a public sky garden as an attractor and amenity for visitors to Dallas to experience the views to downtown and beyond.

ARCHITECTURE

Visionary Design

Some clients call on us to bring their vision to life, others turn to us for creative inspiration. Regardless, our architecture group presents thoughtful designs that not only enhance community landscapes, but also user experiences. Our team ranks among the ENR Top 500 Architecture Firms and elevates the design and function of gathering spaces, healing spaces and working spaces around the world.

Proven Success

Our talents are proven through the accolades we’ve received and iconic projects we completed. Beck Architecture has been named by the Dallas AIA as architecture firm of the year and we served as co-architect of record for the iconic Nasher Sculpture Center with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano in our hometown of Dallas. Our reputation for design extends to the Caribbean and Asia, where we have completed the SaRang Church and Shinkwang Church in South Korea.

Creativity with Context

We believe spaces should reflect the quality, style and identity of the owners and occupants. We are known for responding to our client’s needs. We take care to consider the context of place and purpose. Whatever the project, design excellence remains our focus.

PRECONSTRUCTION

Preconstruction is more than cost-estimating to its early engagement for a cost-certain future.

Thanks to evolution in the industry over the last 20 years, owners can engage preconstruction teams much earlier in the design process. We are passionate about offering enhanced preconstruction services because we know the 10x return on investment that additional planning provides during project construction.

Beck preconstruction and construction team members engage in the process to assist the team in establishing an accurate overall project budget and advise on constructibility issues to eliminate impacts to cost and schedule. This allows a greater degree of accurate cost information earlier in the process and affords the opportunity for the team to explore more options and achieve a higher level of design within the established budget.

With innovative technology at the core, we value the foundations of time tested estimating practices, but seek continuous improvement by embracing new technology and more collaborative processes.

Our proprietary Business Intelligence Platform provides a host of preconstruction analytics and insights including historical project cost data and a variety of others to help our teams make informed, data-based decisions.

We leverage leading—edge tools like DESTINI Estimator and AI-supported applications into our daily production environment.

With Integrated Estimating, we have continued building on our legacy as multi-disciplinary, technically savvy pioneers with the next generation in model-based estimating and parametric-based cost estimating workflows.
