Babson College Public Safety Department is a 24/7, full service and accredited agency. The Department is staffed by approximately 35 employees who provide exceptional service to our College community in the following areas: dispatch and police services, medical response, fire safety response, crime prevention and community engagement, emergency management and OneCard and parking services

New Fire Drill Evacuation Locations: Updated evacuation points for all campus buildings, ensuring students learn proper emergency response procedures while building confidence in crisis situations.
Enhanced Evacuation Mapping: Comprehensive maps showing egress points and instructions for fire and active threat situations, teaching critical life skills that extend beyond campus
Hands-on Fire Extinguisher Training: Instruction in fire extinguisher use, providing practical emergency response skills that students can apply in any environment
Sweeps major events like Commencement and the B.E.T.A. Challenge
Supports regional events like the Boston Marathon and visiting dignitaries
Specialized Training & Protection Services
Public Safety emphasizes the importance of combining security technology and physical security infrastructure.
Public Safety team members recently completed specialized training focused on recent safety events, data-driven insights, and best practices for securing large events and campus buildings.
Public Safety is working closely with Facilities and key campus stakeholders to strategically plan for large events and support ongoing construction and building upgrades.
