Nearly 50 years ago, Babson College established its first center for entrepreneurship. The center was later named the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship in 1998 in recognition of the generous support of alumnus Arthur M. Blank ’63, H’98. Today, the Blank Center is the home for the exploration and practice of entrepreneurship and new venture creation at Babson. Our programs, learning experiences, and thought leadership bring to life Babson’s Entrepreneurial Thought & Action methodology and prepare our stakeholders to identify and pursue entrepreneurial opportunity. We catalyze innovative ideas, develop entrepreneurial mindsets and skills, and inspire action.

I were to define the Blank Center and Babson College in one word, would be community. At Babson, I met friends and mentors who ere there to support my team and me through some of our roughest hallenges, but also who became our loudest cheerleaders whenever hings go well. And if there is one thing that I learned at Babson, it s that doing the greatest good for our planet and humankind does ot need to come at the cost of profit or vice versa In fact, they can go hand in hand very well.”

The co-founders met in a Babson class and bonded over their love of dogs. They eventually created PetPax, a vet-backed pet wellness brand that specializes in fast-acting supplements delivered on oral film that help reduce dogs’ anxiety and bad breath. Fully utilizing the Butler Launch Pad’s resources and participating in Rocket Pitch and the Summer Venture Program, PetPax went on to win the Alumni track of the 2025 B.E.T.A. Challenge competition. The company has been wrestling with high demand leading to potential inventory stockouts, so the prize winnings are a big boost for fulfilling reorders and the next steps.

Fast Track Program
The program provides weekly coaching with customized support during the academic year to student and alumni entrepreneurs. Designed with intense structure and greater support and access to resources beyond the Butler Launch Pad, entrepreneurs receive the opportunity to participate in a business mastermind group where they will gain perspective, feedback and guidance. Participants will broaden their network and grow their venture. This year, we awarded over $6K to five ventures at the conclusion of the program in recognition of their progress and outstanding contributions to the community
What made the Blank Center so special was the community it created. Through the Fast Track program I connected with other founders who were open to sharing ideas, collaborating, and working together through challenges.
The staff and resources at the Blank Center were always there.”

P S V Summer Venture Program
The Summer Venture Program is a 10-week intensive experience that builds entrepreneurial skills and accelerates the development of student ventures. The teams work and collaborate in the co-working space at Babson Boston. The extensive programming includes the signature Hot Seat pitching experience, in which teams practice pitching their ventures and receive valuable, real-time feedback. The program culminates with the Summer Venture Program Showcase at Babson Boston, where the teams pitch their ventures to the Babson and local startup communities.
The Summer Venture Program through the Blank Center was a transformational summer. I spent those months not interning, not observing but building. My company became more than an idea. I left that program with clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it means to lead a venture that solves real problems. I thought I was here to learn about business. But what I didn’t expect was how much I’d grow as a person.”

I gain so much by working with the Butler Institute for Free Enterprise Through Entrepreneurship and the Blank Center. Getting to work with super bright and super motivated students allows me to collaborate on truly impactful programs. But what others might not see is the impact the Butler Institute and the Blank Center have on faculty research. Engaging with students on real-world practical entrepreneurial problems allows me to see questions of real importance that my colleagues and I need to investigate. Working with the Blank Center drives me to find solutions to problems that challenge leaders and entrepreneurs of all types.”
