A Aldeia Infantil SOS Cabo Verde, realizou no dia 30 de junho, no Palácio da Assembleia Nacional, a Gala Padrinhos SOS 2018, para agradecer os parceiros, amigos, padrinhos e madrinhas SOS, por contribuírem para que nenhuma criança cresça sozinha. A gala que se realiza uma vez por ano, para além de agradecer os padrinhos e madrinhas SOS, tem por objectivo juntar a família SOS e prestar contas dos trabalhos que a Aldeia vem realizando. O evento conta com a colaboração da Primeira-dama e madrinha de honra SOS, Dra. Lígia Fonseca, que realçou a importância do apadrinhamento para o futuro das crianças SOS, e exorta a todos a cuidarem das crianças para que elas tenham um futuro promissor. “Se cuidarmos das nossas crianças hoje, para que elas possam viver a sua infância e crescer em felicidade, naturalmente serão adultos felizes e comprometidos com o bem-estar da sociedade no geral” argumenta a madrinha de honra. A gala padrinho SOS também contou com a presença do Presidente da Assembleia Nacional Jorge Santos, que enalteceu o trabalho da SOS como uma verdadeira ação de inclusão para os que mais precisam, e declaro a disponibilidade da Assembleia Nacional em apoiar a organização através da criação de políticas públicas e inclusivas. The SOS Children’s Villages Cabo Verde held the 2018 SOS Sponsors Gala on June 30, at the National Assembly Palace, to thank SOS partners, friends, and sponsors for helping to ensure that no child grows up alone. In addition to thanking the SOS sponsors, the annual gala aims to bring together the SOS family and report on the work that the Village has been doing. The event has the collaboration of the First Lady and SOS Sponsor of Honor, Lígia Fonseca, who emphasized the importance of sponsorship for the future of SOS children, while urging everyone to look after children so they may have a promising future. “If we take care of our children today, so that they can live their childhood and grow up happy, they will naturally be happy adults and committed to the welfare of society in general,” argued the sponsor of honor. The SOS Sponsors Gala was also attended by the National Assembly President, Jorge Santos, who praised SOS’s work as a true act of inclusion for those most in need and expressed the National Assembly’s willingness to support the organization in the creation of public and inclusive policies. O evento contou com a actuação de vários artistas e grupos de dança com a Cremilda Medina, Zé Rui, Djam Neguim, SOS stars, Gota de d’Arte, Mon na Roda e Dança Arte. The event featured performances by several artists and dance groups, including Cremilda Medina, Zé Rui, Djam Neguim, SOS Stars, Gota d’Arte, Mon na Roda and Dança Arte.
