Chairman’s Report Well how things change so very quickly, (Covid-19 virus). There we were looking forward to what was coming up in events for us, the Motorcycle meeting, Karaka Vintage day, Commercial and Charabanc night, Club Night's speaker on Tyres, the Vintage meeting, Maunga Moana, Mooloo Meander, Branch's gymkhana, the National North Island Easter Rally, all cancelled along with all Branch meetings, runs and rallies. The March National Executive meeting, which was to held in Wellington was also cancelled. All our Clubroom renters have been advised that the Clubrooms are now closed and will remain closed until further notice, which is the first time in the Branch's history. The Committee will keep you informed of any matters relative to the AVVCC. The builder has started on repairing the building with dismantling and rebuilding the damaged outside wall and repairing some internal damage as well. Reports on what has passed before the cancellation of events. The Veteran section - John Stokes meeting went well. The Mad Irish Woman Rally held in the Waikato: I was told this was a very successful event with members Peter Alderdice, Leo Fowler and Paul Tomlin taking part. The Bert Cuthbertson Rally: I attended this on my BSA Golden Flash, Stuart Metge plotted the event, which had a good turnout of 14 motorcycles and 5 cars and around 25 people. Everything about this rally was excellent from the instructions, route, weather and the great afternoon tea put on by Stewart’s wife Jan. Vintage Muster: Alan & Shaaran Price put on an excellent event with 26 entries and 56 people attending the dinner at the RSA in the early evening. Well that’s all for now folks, we hope you and your family stay safe and well at this stressful time. Keep those 2, 3 and 4 wheels turning safely. Martin Spicer
