Are you on the Tree?
May I suggest that John Campbell and John Stokes perhaps take the same approach with their sections? We are experiencing unprecedented times in New Zealand history and one way or another Covid-19 is impacting on everyone, no matter their age or gender. I appreciate that there are many members who live alone and so I would urge other members, who know these members who live alone, to check in on them with a telephone call to see if they are okay and that any help they may need is being met, especially those that have no family. Keeping in touch with emails is also another way of stemming the loneliness, especially as the over 70’s have been advised to stay indoors. This of course is our household as Martin is now 71 and I will be staying at home as well. Luckily we have our large farm to wander around in and there is plenty to keep us busy –sorting out our garage is a starting point and getting our veggie garden back up and growing, still waiting for our tomatoes and capsicums to ripen, they are later varieties so patience I hear you say!
My final message to you all is to stay well, stay busy and stay positive. Take care of each other.
