P U R P O S E & V I S IO N

Seesaw’s K–5 AI Literacy lessons are designed to nurture young minds by introducing them to the world of Artificial Intelligence in an engaging and accessible way. Our goal is to cultivate ethical, creative, and responsible interactions with AI, equipping students with the skills they need for a future where AI plays a vital role in daily life. Through our AI Literacy lessons, we introduce key AI concepts using developmentally appropriate, experiential learning activities.

Students will develop an understanding of:

What AI is and how it works

How AI is applied in everyday life

How AI can be used safely, ethically, and responsibly

Along with robust standards alignment, Seesaw’s AI literacy curriculum is meticulously aligned with the leading global framework, the AILit Framework, developed by the European Commission (EC) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), with support from Code.org, ensuring that your students receive a world-class education in AI literacy:

Each lesson is designed with a focus on fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in an engaging and interactive manner. Students actively participate in relatable, simulated activities that leverage a variety of multimodal tools to enhance the learning experience. These lessons inspire creativity and innovation while allowing students to apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes outlined

in the AILit framework. Furthermore, students are encouraged to reflect on their learning and explore real-world applications, deepening their understanding and connection to the material.
