‘What’s

‘What’s
Godley?’
This week has been an exciting week with the election of our School Councillors, Eco Ambassadors, Art and PE Ambassadors. The children in the running have been campaigning to win their classmate’s vote, with posters, badges, cakes and pledges as to why they should be chosen. Thursday was our election day with each class casting their vote in the hall and posting in the official Election box. After all the votes were counted, we had a special assembly where the winners were presented with their certificates. A big well done to all our elected children and thank you to all those who applied. We can wait to see our new Ambassadors in action and for them to represent the views and ideas of our pupils. Believe to achieve and shine together
Last week our Year 5 children took a walk down to the Godley brook as part of their Geography learning. Their enquiry question was ‘What is the temperature of the water in the Godley brook and how does this compare to the temperatures of other streams and lakes around the world?’ . The children found that the water in the brook was on average 10 degrees and they will now compare this with other locations around the world. The children also completed some brilliant field sketches and created iMovies and Pic Collages of their findings.
