KS1 Christmas Performance 2015 - 'Babushka' Staff and children are bursting with pride for our KS1 children this week after they put on a show stopping performance of 'Babushka', the tale of an old Russian lady whose heart was filled with love from Jesus. There was not a dry eye in the house as they magically told the story through wonderful narration, acting, dancing and even solo singing! Mrs Gray and Mr McDonald were even left speechless! Well done everyone! Thank you to our audiences and those who have bought photographs. They will be sent home next week.

School Lunch Changes If any children would like to order a lunch please let the office or class teacher know. Junior children who are not on free school meals the cost are £2.20 each. Monday 14th December: Pizza, Jackets or Chicken Curry. Tuesday 15th December: Christmas lunch or Jackets. Wednesday 16th December: Ravioli, Meatballs and Mashed Potato or Jackets. Thursday 17th December: Dinner in a bag – Sausage and Chips, Fish and Chips or Jackets. Friday 18th December: Party style food. The cold option is available on all days except Friday. Big raffle time – One Week Left! Raffle tickets are on sale and available from the main and infant entrances and are 50p each. Prizes are: a new bicycle, a dolls house, large food hamper, medium food hamper, sweet hamper, Bottle of Wine and chocolates, a small bottle of wine with chocolates and a sports kite. The tickets will be available at the EYFS Christmas performances. The draw will take place on Thursday 17th December and winners will be notified by text. Good Luck!!!

There are no afterschool clubs this week

The minimum acceptable attendance is 96%.

If a child misses 8 days or more a year they will not achieve 96% this is reportable to Lancashire County Council and may result in a Penalty Notice being issued. Please ensure your children are in school every day and on time. School starts at 8.55am. 100% Attendance Challenge. Let’s see how many of us can be in school without having a day off for the month of December. Prizes to be won!! Good luck.

Year 6 Table-Top Sale On Monday 14th December, Year 6 Lions and Leopards will be holding a table-top sale, selling toys and games. All children will have the opportunity to visit the sale, if they wish, at some point throughout the morning. We are raising money to fund a WOW event for our two classes in the spring term. If you have any items you would like to donate, please send them in to school on Monday morning. Thank you in advance, Lions and Leopards.

SHARES KS1 Multi Skills Competition On Tuesday 1st December 4 children from KS1 took part in the SHARES Multi Skills Competition at West Lancashire College. The children took part in different activities including speed bounce, target throw, ladder run, football dribble and more. All the children performed really well and had a great time. Out of the 10 schools that took part Bishop Martin came in 2nd place just 8 points behind the winners! Well done to Alfie, Dylan, Bonnie and Lily.
