Island Life Learning Log

Page 1

Learning Logs After the half term holidays our topic will be all about ‘Island Life’ In order to introduce the topic we would like you to work with your child over the next few weeks to create a learning log. Please return this on Monday 8 th June (the first day back).

What is a learning log? A learning log is a record of your child’s knowledge on a subject e.g. animals It can include: • • • • •

Photographs Models Paintings Favourite stories/books Information from the internet.

We appreciate that the children will need your input but in order for this to be successful and link into our planning it will need to be from your child’s thoughts/perspectives. Learning logs are meant to be fun for the children and a way of showing to the teachers and other children what they already know! Please find included a coversheet on which your child should write their name and put this with your child’s evidence. If you need any information please go to www.learninglogs.co.uk Thank you for your continued support, Miss Stokes
