’est un passionné, forcément. Comment expliquer sinon que ce coiffeur qui, au quotidien, travaille dans un salon réputé s’installe parfois dans les rues de la ville, ciseaux à la main, pour couper les cheveux des passants, de tous âges et de tous horizons ? Cela fait des années que Cedric James s’adonne à cet étrange acte improvisé, gratuit, aussi appelé « Hair Jam session ». « C’est sans doute une démarche un peu

naïve de ma part, explique-t-il. Je suis content de rendre service et les échanges sont toujours enrichissants. La coiffure de rue, c’est un peu notre street art à nous. La rue est un réservoir incroyable d’inspiration et permet d’atteindre un niveau de créativité intense. »

to others and it’s nice to see what kind of interesting interactions come out of these sessions. Cutting hair outside is a bit like street art for hairstylists. The street is a great think-tank. I find a lot of inspiration there and creativity gets turned up a notch.”
