Spooktacular offers new twists

Castle of Muskogee’s Halloween Festival annually draws thousands

The Castle of Muskogee is offering plenty of opportunities for guests to get primed for a fun or scary Halloween.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night beginning this week and running through Oct. 28, The Castle’s Halloween Festival will be providing 11 “spooktacular” events for the young and not-so-young, said Matt Hiller, co-owner.

There are several additions and changes this year that should woo and wow even long-time Halloween Festival goers, he said.

This is the 23rd year for the event that melds traditional tastes of fall-like caramel apples and smoked turkey legs, with screams, scary characters and ample opportunities to raise the chill factor of guests.

Costumed scary characters can be found around nearly every corner, so Hiller advises watching out for zombies, spooks, scarecrows, clowns and others walking the grounds of The Castle.

Guests can listen to a variety of ghost stories or visit with one of 35

characters who, when prompted, with share the story of how they made the transition from the living to beyond the grave, he said.

“They love to talk, interact and tell you how they got killed,” Hiller said.

Haunted houses, mazes, playing children’s games are among the attractions. Admission to the grounds is free with a variety of activities included, he said.

The Castle has joined forces with local Girl Scouts to operate that portion of the attractions as a fundraiser to

support scouting activities for children 8 and under.

“For the young kids, Halloween Land is completely non-scary,” Hiller said. “It’s a fun carnival of games where everyone wins prizes, they can get their face painted and play some games.”

Halloween Land is one of four events housed inside The Castle, so rain or shine, there are plenty of options, he said.

Prices for events requiring tickets range from $3 to $15 with the Dark Tower Zombie Hunt getting the top price. For the children’s Halloween Land, tickets for kids up to 8 years old are $5 each, while adults are admitted free with their children.

The Halloween Festival offers single attraction tickets so guests can take in one event if they want, or all. There also are a couple of ticket packages.

The Fright Pack provides access to four of the scarier attractions, while the Fun Pack focuses on more fun attractions. For the individual ticketed events, prices range from $3 to $15.

Hiller said among the changes being implemented this year is Qless,

Car show to benefit Kelly B. Todd

Residents invited to take a trip down memory lane

Older cars take on new and different looks at a car and bike show/swap meet Saturday.

The cars, trucks and motorcycles will be part of a the Fraternal Order of Eagles’ Car & Bike Show, 10 a.m. Saturday at the order’s meeting place.

People can enter their cars and motorcycles the morning of the show. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Entries will be judged at 3 p.m.

Car show coordinator Steve Hill said the show is a walk down memory lane.

“I remember when all these cars

were driving up and down the road when I was a kid,” Hill said.  He said looking at the older cars is his favorite part of car shows.

“I like to see what guys have done to restore their old cars,” he said. “And a lot of them are old.... I’ve seen some cars that are 50 years old and are actually better than when they rolled off the showroom floor, prettier. The guys fixed them up and they put a lot of time and care into them. It’s not like you can do them overnight. Some of these guys put five to 10 years in one car. Other guys trade cars once a year, swap around.”

A 1964 Ford F100 pickup at Rosson Wheel Services looks older than it really is. Those discolored streaks across the blue aren’t rust or Bondo body filler.

Mechanic John Payne said the

truck was painted to look old and rusty.

“The truck has actually been fully restored,” Payne said. “When we got it, it was primer black and just really ugly.

The truck since has been fully restored with a 4.6 liter fuel-injected motor from a 1993 Crown Victoria, he said. It has four-wheel disc brakes and suspension from a 1976 Thunderbird, he said.

Payne said the truck goes to car shows across Oklahoma, where it has won in modified and original categories. They don’t baby this truck on a trailer either. Payne said it is driven daily.

McCarter’s “flaming” 1957 Chevrolet station wagon around downtown. The wagon has painted flames between its white front and red roof.

“People come in all the time and ask me if it’s for sale,” McCarter said.

He said the wagon already had the painted flames when he bought it five years ago.

Hill said he has a 1965 Ford station wagon, which he described as a real odd car.

“Everybody thinks it’s a hearse because it’s painted deep blue with tinted windows,” Hill said. “But it’s actually a ‘65 Galaxy Ford. It’s a head-turner. It gets a lot of attention because it’s out there a ways.”

The deep blue station wagon is a unique attraction at car shows, he said.

“Last car show I went to, there was only one other station wagon,” he said. “That one was more of a pastel color.”

A $500 prize will be awarded will be awarded

to Best of Show, Hill said. Prizes also will be awarded to Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Drivetrain.

The day also will feature a swap meet, Hill said.

“You rent a spot, 10 by 10, in our outdoor garden, and you bring stuff for sale, hopefully car related or gear-head related,” Hill said.

He said proceeds will benefit the Kelly B. Todd Cerebral Palsy and Neuro-muscular Center.

“Kelly B. Todd does good work and has been sort of an icon of Muskogee for as long as I can remember,” Hill said. “It’s great that these people help these kids have as normal life as they can. It’s just a wonderful bunch of folks.”

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s Auxiliary will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, cold drinks and other concessions.

a system which should cut down on waiting times to get into the different attractions.

“To bypass waiting in line, you go to the event, give them a textable number, the number of people in your party, and they will text you when it’s your turn to get in the haunted house,” he said.

That could cut down on what might have been an hour or two wait in the past to a five- or 10-minute wait with the Qless system.

There is no extra charge to use the line wait reduction service, Hiller said.

“With that, instead of people standing in line they can be out on the street where we’ve added multiple food vendors and other vendors,” he said. “They can eat if they want or dance if they want, because we’ll have music.”

Another addition this season is a Tesla Coil show with purple lightning choreographed to music. Those shows will be staged about every 30 minutes in the castle’s great hall, Hiller said.

For the hardcore thrill-seeker, there are popular return attractions that come with an admission charge like Casa Monte, a labyrinth of horror, or Domus Horrificus, where guests can expect to be scared and chased by the likes of Freddy Krueger or other characters.

“And we’ve had scary clowns before scary clowns were cool,” Hiller said.

At Casa Monte, described as an interactive haunted house, the

characters react to patrons while cooking up a brew in kitchen caldron or performing other household duties.

“Domus Horrificus is a more intense, scarier place where it’s dark and things chase you and try to get you,” he said.

The attraction has evolved over the years incorporating movie characters and last year, video game scenes were added.

The maze appears to go on and on, zig-zagging back and forth. Guests can expect to be screamed at, chased and yelled at as they make their way through the darkness.

“But we haven’t lost anyone yet,” Hiller said.

Crews started building the sets over the summer with the Halloween Festival covers much of the 60-acre grounds.

The boardwalk area is filled with Halloween-themed inflatables, while about 40 vendors fill up the castle’s village area. To pull off the scary illusion each Friday and Saturday night, about 175 actors are in costume, 80 to 100 vendors are on site and others are working behind the scenes to bring the entire cast population to between 350 and 400 people, Hiller said.

“There are some Saturday nights when we have to call in everyone, it gets really busy,” he said.

It all started with a fireworks stand and a need to add revenue streams to the site year-round.

“We had a big, vacant building that we had to do something with,” he said.

The Halloween Festival started small and has continued to grow each of the past 23 years, Hiller said.

“It started out as plain plywood walls, and we steadily grew outward,” he said. “We have to rebuild it every year, so it changes every year and as we’re re-doing it, we change up the scenes.”

The staff has created a lot of unique characters only found at the Castle of Muskogee’s Halloween Festival, Hiller said. But one of the mainstays over the years has been the movie character Freddy

Krueger from the “Nightmare on Elm Street” film series.

“He’s always popular,” Hiller said.

Other attractions include a Haunted Hayride, Torture Chamber, the outside Trail of Blood and Dark Tower Zombie Hunt and the inside Chessboard Stage. The stage features a variety of shows like jugglers, a hypnotist and escape artist.

The transformation of the Halloween Festival from a single

plywood maze with masked characters jumping out at guests to the multiple-attraction venue it is today has been an evolution, Hiller said.

“It’s been a slow process but a steady process,” he said. “This year, we’re focusing on eliminating the lines and creating more things to do.”

NSU alumni to ‘Come Home to Paradise’

Week of activities goes beyond football and a parade with golf, gala and more

Homecoming shows school spirit like no other time of the year. It brings together new freshman just beginning the journey of a lifetime with alumni from past decades returning to remember those wonderful college days of youth. To encourage Northeastern State University alumni to “Come Home to Paradise,” a full week of activities are planned for Sept. 24-30. So much more than a football game and a parade of the past, modern day NSU

Homecoming is a full week of activities and festivities from golf to a gala.

“For many alumni, homecoming may be the only time they find their way back to campus. We want the experience to remind them of the wonderful times they enjoyed as students, to rekindle their NSU pride, “ said Director of Alumni Services Daniel Johnson.

Johnson said the weekend features all the events the alumni have come to expect, and he knows many make plans to take in as many of the festivities as they can.

“It’s a jammed-packed

weekend. We’ve added a pancake breakfast that’s open to the public, since we know so many start out their weekend with the parade. Now they can get a great view of the parade while they enjoy an inexpensive breakfast of pancakes,” he said. “When programming out the homecoming festivities, we try to have something for everyone, all age groups and interests. The highlight will, for sure, be Emerald Ball featuring KC and the Sunshine Band. The event is sold out and will surely be a night to

Kyra Sedgwick has a trying ‘Ten Days in the Valley’

In her Emmy-winning work on “The Closer,” Kyra Sedgwick typically gave others help.

Now, in her return to starring in a series, her character can use all the help she can get.

The actress – who recently turned first-time director on the Lifetime movie “Story of a Girl” – goes back before the cameras in “Ten Days in the Valley,” an ABC drama from creator and executive producer Tassie Cameron (“Rookie Blue,” “Mary Kills People”) that premieres Sunday, Oct. 1. Also an executive producer of the show, Sedgwick plays Jane Sadler, a Los Angeles-based former documentary maker turned crime-show producer who’s thrust into a real-life case ... and one that’s way too personal, since her young daughter (Abigail Pniowsky) disappears.

The main investigator on the case (Adewale AkinnuoyeAgbaje) soon finds no shortage

of suspects, from Jane’s trying-to-conceive half-sister (“Parenthood” alum Erika Christensen) to the desperateto-please head writer on Jane’s program (MalcolmJamal Warner). Even Jane’s struggling-journalist husband (Josh Randall) seems culpable, and her narcotics-detective paramour (Francois Battiste) may help her get to the bottom of things.

“I like the idea of a serialized show,” Sedgwick says of “Ten Days,” in which each episode represents one day of the probe. “I really felt like we straddled both things very well on ‘The Closer,’ in that it was kind of a procedural, but it was also very much a character piece in which things were happening and themes were explored every year that were all very different and surprising. I was interested in doing a show where I’m not solving a mystery. Really, Jane is just

such a mystery – and hand-inhand with the mystery of this character is the mystery of what happens to her daughter. The ‘who,’ the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ is very much unraveling the history and the mystery of Jane and her relationships with all these people.

“We really, literally go back in time and find out why is Jane the way she is,” notes Sedgwick, “why she has these coping skills and mechanisms. I think these are the kinds of things that really interest me as an actor. We’re all a product of our upbringing, and to be able to deep-dive into that with this character, and also lots of other characters, was fascinating to me. Jane is very much the center of the show, but in all the characters, we get to see why they are who they are and what makes them tick. And we’re surprised by all of them.”

Cameron explains “Ten Days in the Valley” sprang from “a

recurring nightmare” she had: “I was working alone late at night in my writing shed, about 10 feet away from my house, and I’d finish writing and my back door would be locked and I’d break in, and my kid would be gone. I don’t have recurring nightmares very often, so when I do, I try and listen to them. I thought I would sort of write it out of my system.”

Adding that the process was “amazingly successful (and) very cathartic” for her, Cameron – who gives a “Ten Days” cameo to her former “Rookie Blue” star Missy Peregrym –says that though she designed the new show as a complete story, “I think there are some real open-ended moments towards the end ... some new relationships beginning, some relationships ending, some new information, and certainly some very worthy adversaries that Jane has pissed off that I think would lead to a natural Season 2, should we be so lucky.”

JASON RITTER

The title role of “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” probably could have suited his late father John, too ... but does Jason Ritter think so?

“It didn’t occur to me when I read” the pilot script, says the friendly star of the seriocomic ABC series that premieres Tuesday, Oct. 3. “But then when we were doing it, I sort of started to think about how he would feel about me doing it. Doing things with both comedic and dramatic elements was something he really enjoyed.”

The younger Ritter plays an unlikely deputy, indeed, to save all of mankind, after an otherworldly encounter lands ne’er-do-well Kevin that colossal assignment from a celestial representative (Kimberly Hebert Gregory). His widowed twin sister and her teenage daughter (JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Chloe East) don’t quite buy that he’s one of the 36 souls tasked to keep the world going by giving hope to others.

“One of the reasons I love doing independent film so much,” Ritter reflects, “is that you’re getting to do someone’s artistic vision. It’s very clear, and they’re telling the story they want to tell, and this felt similar. There was a level of assured storytelling that felt like, ‘Yep. This is the show. We’re doing our own thing.’ And it surprised me, and I appreciated it.”

Also a star of November’s National Geographic war-drama miniseries “The Long Road Home,” Ritter – who’s engaged to actress Melanie

Lynskey (“Two and a Half Men”) – also appreciates the surprises he’s continuing to find in “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.”

He knows from having done other shows (“The Event,” “Joan of Arcadia,” etc.), that “you never know what the second episode is going to be, or the third, and I’ve been really excited by the direction that this show is going in ... and it’s not the one I thought it would be, but that’s what’s so special about the show. Every episode has been very fresh.”

Bourdain

gets himself into a city-state in the Season 10 opener of ‘Parts Unknown’

In the 10th season premiere of “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” the host visits a place with a rich food culture and a way of life that would be a definite cause for debate in this country.

Airing Sunday, Oct. 1, on CNN, the opening episode takes the chef, author and world traveler to Singapore, the sovereign city-state on the southern tip of the Malay peninsula, to sample the cuisine, meet the locals and learn more about a society where quality of life is at its highest, but personal freedoms are not.

The visuals in this episode show an ultra-clean city with palm tree-lined streets, where business thrives, crime is almost nonexistent and citizens are clearly prosperous, as evidenced by busy shopping malls, restaurants and night life. But look around and there are surveillance cameras everywhere, a constant reminder that this is a semi-authoritarian government with tight controls over everything, including a right most valued by Americans.

“Freedom of speech is most definitely constrained,” Bourdain says. “What you can see and read on the internet, through official circles anyway, is definitely constrained. But you never see police or army in the street. You do not see the foot of the government on your neck in an overt or oppressive way. Just the same, there’s a sense that if you want the party to go on and the money to keep coming in and all of these benefits to happen, there are certain things you most definitely don’t want to do, and speaking your mind might well be one of them.”

The city’s food scene has roots in several Asian cultures, mainly Chinese, Malay and Indian, although high-end French and Italian restaurants are also very present. Very popular are the city’s many food courts, where the dishes are reasonable, and Bourdain found a few local favorites to his liking.

An oil refinery opens in a small Canadian Rockies town, bringing with it jobs, tax revenue and workers with money to spend, especially on drugs, gambling and prostitution in this 10-episode thriller series. Tim Roth (“Lie to Me”) stars as the police chief with a dark past who has to deal with the sudden surge in crime, and Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”) plays the corporate liaison instrumental in bringing the refinery to town.

It’s a good bet Mark Feuerstein never has known any role better than his latest one.

That’s because the “Royal Pains” and “Prison Break” alum basically plays himself in the CBS sitcom “9JKL,” premiering Monday, Oct. 2. Created by Feuerstein and his writer-producer wife Dana Klein (“Friends With Better Lives”), the show is based on his days as an actor in New York, when he was living between relatives quite literally ... his parents (played by Linda Lavin and Elliott Gould) in an apartment on one side of him, and his new-dad brother (David Walton, “About a Boy”) on the other. Albert Tsai (“Dr. Ken”) also appears as a young neighbor.

While he was making “Royal Pains,” the hugely affable Feuerstein explains, “My parents kindly allowed me to stay in the apartment next door to them, so every morning, I would wake up to my father coming in his tighty whities going, ‘Mark, what would you like for breakfast? Would you like eggs, French toast? What can I get?’

“And every night, after a 15-hour day of shooting, my mother would be waiting by her door – like a gunslinger in a nightgown – and the second my hand would touch the doorknob, she’d whip (the door) open and go, ‘Hi, Mark. Would you like to come in for a salad?’ Which of course, I would do, and sit with her from 11:00 ’til midnight talking about the day’s events.”

Feuerstein adds that he also told fellow “9JKL” executive producer Aaron Kaplan that “there was a period of time for 18

months when my brother, his wife, and their baby were living on the other side of me. And when he heard that, he said, ‘That’s a show, that’s a show’ ... like a great producer would say. And here we are today.”

“9JKL” isn’t the first time Lavin and Feuerstein have played mother and son; they also had that relationship on the short-lived NBC comedy “Conrad Bloom.” She says his parents “seem to be so happy to be included and to be written about” in the new show. “I, on the other hand – if I were writing a biography – would have to wait ’til everybody was dead. They’re very smart, funny people, and they love Mark. And without having to give me notes, they’ve given me the inspiration for how much I can love this man as my son, because of the way they love him.”

In a very real sense, “9JKL” also is a family affair for Feuerstein and Klein, since they’re bringing their work home from the studio with them whether they intend to or not.

“When we’re around the kids, we’re really mindful to not talk about work,” Klein maintains, allowing that the two spouses’ daily professional collaboration is something “we’d never done before, and it’s really been amazing. I did have a real ‘It’s nice to be married to the star of the show’ moment during the pilot; I think I had forgotten to wear deodorant that day, and I went into the dressing room. And then I was like, ‘I guess I couldn’t be doing this if I weren’t married to the star of the show.’ ”

Kershaw, Dodgers eye MLB playoffs

Baseball’s postseason begins this week, and by the time the National League Divisional Series get under way Friday, Oct. 6 on TBS, all eyes will be on the Los Angeles Dodgers and pitching ace Clayton Kershaw. After being sidelined with another back injury for part of the summer, Kershaw returned to the Dodgers’ rotation in early September, and the Dodgers are hoping he can overcome the ghosts of postseasons past and help propel them to what would be their first World Series appearance since they won it all in 1988.

The Dodgers drafted Kershaw in 2006, and by 2008 he was part of the rotation. In no time he became one of the dominant starting pitchers in the game. Among the accolades are three National League Cy Young Awards, pitching’s triple crown and a Gold Glove in 2011, a no-hitter in 2014; and two humanitarian awards, the Roberto Clemente Award in 2012 and the Branch Rickey Award in 2013. He’s also appeared in every All-Star game since 2011.

Kershaw, however, has struggled in the postseason. He’s 4-7 in 14 starts, and in the 18 games he’s pitched in has a 4.55 ERA over 89 innings. Last season he went 2-1 in the postseason and actually recorded a save, but was shelled by the Chicago Cubs in Game 6 of the NLCS, when the Dodgers were eliminated from the playoffs. Still, a healthy Kershaw and a Dodgers team that has put together one of the best seasons on record is bad news for their playoff opponents.

THURSDAY

SATURDAY

9 p.m. on KJRH

Saturday Night Live

A summer of political developments undoubtedly filled the coffers of this show’s writers and performers — and though “Weekend Update” got a primetime run, it’s business for real as the latenight staple debuts its 43rd season. Ryan Gosling, whose movie “Blade Runner 2049” is about to open, returns as guest host — with Jay-Z, riding high on the success of his album “4:44,” as the musical guest. Alec Baldwin is expected to return as President Donald Trump.

SUNDAY

ensuring that he’s never without family around.

TUESDAY

8:30 p.m. on KTUL

The Mayor Brandon Micheal Hall is guaranteed to drive writers crazy with the spelling of his middle name, and he likely hopes for a similar impact with his acting in this new comedy — with “Hamilton’s” Daveed Diggs among its producers — about a rapper who runs for mayor of his California hometown just for publicity. When he wins, it’s another story. Lea Michele (“Glee”) continues her steady series work as a co-star here, as does Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”).

7:30 p.m. on KOKI Ghosted

7 p.m. on KTUL Grey’s Anatomy Series mentor Shonda Rhimes is moving to Netflix to develop new programming, but she’s still steering the ship for this medicaldrama staple — as proven by a two-hour opener for its 14th season that combines two episodes, “Break Down the House” and “Get Off on the Pain.” The saga picks up where last spring’s literally explosive finale left off as Abigail Spencer (“Timeless”) joins the cast. Ellen Pompeo and Kevin McKidd (who directed the second hour) also star.

WEDNESDAY

8 p.m. on KOTV

SEAL Team

7 p.m. on KTUL Marvel’s Inhumans

An inescapable “Ghostbusters” vibe underscores this new comedy pairing very different paranormal sleuths — played by Craig Robinson (“The Office”) and Adam Scott (“Parks and Recreation”), also executive producers of the show — on otherworldly mysteries that plague Los Angeles. Beyond their case of the week, a larger threat could mean nothing less than the end of mankind. Ally Walker (“Profiler”) returns to television as their boss in this “Pilot.”

MONDAY

An assignment in Syria turns increasingly dangerous for Jason (David Boreanaz) and his colleagues in the new episode “Other Lives,” as their discovery of civilians needing help proves ill-timed... as enemy troops make their moves against the would-be rescuers. Others on the SEAL team aren’t sure whether to tell Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) that his wife is about to give birth. Michael Irby guest stars. Max Thieriot and A.J. Buckley also star.

The “ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” won’t be back until midseason, but this new show ensures a Marvel-ous time still is had now. Anson Mount (“Hell on Wheels”) plays the king of the Inhumans, whose refuge in Hawaii may be not only their own salvation, but that of the entire planet. These first two episodes, “Behold ... The Inhumans” and “Those Who Would Destroy Us,” got a twoweek run in IMAX theaters first. Iwan Rheon, Serinda Swan and Ken Leung also star.

7:30 p.m. on KOTV 9JKL

Mark Feuerstein’s character on the recent “Prison Break” revival was anything but amusing, so he probably can use some laughs. The “Royal Pains” alum gets them from his own life in this new sitcom, based on his experiences in New York as both a struggling actor and a struggling relative. The latter situation comes from his living between his parents (Linda Lavin, Elliott Gould) and his brother (David Walton) ...

TRAGEDY SENDS A POLICE CHIEF TO THE DARK SIDE IN AMAZON’S ‘TIN STAR’

Jim Worth is a man with a few skeletons in his closet, at least one of which is ready to bust out.

As played by Tim Roth (“Lie to Me,” “Twin Peaks: The Return”) in the new Amazon thriller series “Tin Star,” he’s the new police chief of the Canadian Rockies town of Little Big Bear, who with his wife Angela (Genevieve O’Reilly, “Episodes,” “The Honourable Woman”) and two kids, left London and a prime undercover job for the tranquility of the mountains.

Or so he thought. Turns out sleepy Little Big Bear has come into the crosshairs of North Stream Oil, a big multinational that is intent on building a refinery nearby. While some citizens see that as a potential boon in well-paying jobs for their struggling community, others worry that it will pollute the air and water, as its track record suggests. As for Jim, he’s concerned about the surge in crime that’s bound to result from a large influx of hedonistic refinery workers looking to spend their hard-earned cash on drugs, prostitutes and gambling.

As a liaison with the company, Elizabeth Bradshaw (Christina Hendricks, “Mad Men,” “Hap and Leonard”), tries to bring the townspeople around to its way of thinking, some of the more vocal dissenters come under a campaign of intimidation, among them Jim.

When that results in tragedy for his family, this mild-mannered Briton’s dark past begins to surface, including that he’s a recovering alcoholic whose frequent blackouts when he drinks would bring forth a dark alter ego. And so in the first episode we get our first glimpse of Jack, who is bolder, more charismatic and more menacing than Jim.

“The Jim character is constantly battling,” Roth explains, “trying to keep the Jack character away, trying to keep him at bay, trying stay sober, trying to be a good dad, trying to help his wife who’s in awful grief and all of that, and have a relationship with his daughter. So it’s a constant struggle for him to keep Jack tucked away and by the end if the episode you know that that’s the guy they need right now.”

Keeping what amounts to Jekyll and Hyde characters separate and distinct meant some mental calisthenics for the English actor, so he relied heavily on series creator Rowan Joffe (“Sun Records”) for help.

“I had to be very clear,” he says. “I didn’t know about who knows what, so constantly I had to get Rowan on the phone and we made a little bible of what the rules were because we were improvising a lot and we had to keep checking with him about, OK, if he does this, will he know this? It was kind of odd.”
