THIS WEEK

Week of October 23 - 29, 2016

Matt LeBlanc stars in “Man With a Plan,” premiering Monday on CBS.

Matt LeBlanc is a ‘Man With a Plan’ in his latest sitcom

If one were to pose Joey Tribbiani’s trademark question – “How you doin’?” – to Matt LeBlanc these days, the response would have to be, “Pretty good.”

Not long after finishing work his Showtime series “Episodes” (with the fifth and final season being shown next year), the “Friends” alum not only has re-upped to host the next two seasons of the BBC and BBC America car show “Top Gear,” he’s returning to primetime sitcom work.

Premiering Monday, Oct. 24, CBS’ “Man With a Plan” casts him as a contractor who becomes a Mr. Mom when his wife (former “Yes, Dear” co-star Liza Snyder) goes back to work. Overwhelmed at first, he eventually comes up with a plan to handle their three children (Grace Kaufman, Matthew McCann, Hala Finley), sometimes with the attempted help of his brother and business partner (“Saturday Night Live” and “Weeds” veteran Kevin Nealon).

LeBlanc is in familiar hands as “Man With a Plan”

starts, since he’s directed by television-comedy legend James Burrows, who also guided “Friends” episodes including the very first one. The actor says he wanted to return to that format “because I have a family, and the hours are shorter. I like the sort of work week on a multicam (multi-camera comedy). You rehearse all week, then you shoot in front of an audience, like a play. It’s like being part of an ensemble theater company.”

The concept by married series creators and executive producers Jackie and Jeff Filgo (“That ‘70s Show”) appealed to LeBlanc from the start. “We had in common that we wanted to do something in the same sort of arena,” he says, “a family show. I felt like I’m not getting any younger, and I am a parent, so I wanted to explore what that would be like as a character. And they wrote a great script, and I responded to it. And then we started talking more, and here we are.”

Jackie Filgo explains the show is based on her and her husband’s “personal experience from last year.

A guide to ‘Arrow’ crossover baddies the Dominators

On the heels of the first photo of Stephen Amell and Melissa Benoist filming scenes together for the upcoming crossover to mix up “Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow,” Warner Bros. TV had an otherworldly announcement to make: The heroes are teaming up to fight the Dominators.

The alien race is bringing some serious trouble to Earth and it’s going to take The CW’s finest superheroes to stop them. “This year, for our mega ‘Arrowverse’ crossover, we’re taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as ‘Invasion!,’ which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Superheroes,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim says in a release. “We’re using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature

We have always worked together, and we took the year off and were with our kids 24/7 for the first time ever ... and got to see sort of the real ins and outs of parenting. And we were at dinner one night, and our daughter just picked up a handful of mashed potatoes and started eating it like an ice-cream cone, and we realized perhaps some things had fallen through the cracks. And we might have some work to do.”

“It became really clear,” adds Jeff Filgo, “when you’re only seeing your kids at the edges of the day, you’re just getting the greatest hits. And when you’re with them all the time, you’re getting the deep album cuts. With a drum solo.”

Being in the CBS lineup puts Le Blanc back in the company of network chief Leslie Moonves, who developed “Friends” while an executive at Warner Bros. Television, as well as Matthew Perry – Chandler to LeBlanc’s Joey on that show – whose current reboot of “The Odd Couple” airs an hour later on Mondays.

“They are one stage away,” LeBlanc reports of Perry’s series. “I love that guy. I love all five of those people. We spent a lot of time together. I

film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.”

As explained by Guggenheim, the Dominators were first introduced in the “Invasion!” comics. They’re recognizable by their yellow skin and the red circle on their head. In the comics, the size of that circle determines your place in their hierarchical society. Ironically enough, if you take a look at the image from the comics above, they share a look and color scheme with Reverse Flash.

In “Invasion!,” the Dominators are the leading force behind an alliance of alien races intend on taking earth for themselves. While at this point it looks like they’re the only aliens involved in the crossover – other than Supergirl, that is – opening up the Dominators to these shows leaves a lot of room for expansion in future seasons.

As for what it is that makes these aliens such a force to be reckoned with, beyond their advanced technology, they also have the ability to change their own genetics, altering themselves and making themselves more powerful. In a world where the Green Arrow and his newly trained team is getting used to battling actual non-superpowered humans again, this is going to be a big mountain to climb. Luckily, they’ll have the time-traveling Legends, a speedster named Barry and the girl of steel on their side.

mean, I could not see him for five years – and then, put me in a room with him, and it will be like I saw him yesterday. We still have this shorthand with one another. It’s amazing, really. Ten years in a building with no windows, with the door locked? We got to know each other pretty well.”

Like many a successful immigrant, French-born and -trained chef Ludo Lefebvre loves his adopted homeland, in his case Los Angeles.

He owns five area restaurants there with a sixth on the way, created the pop-up dining concept LudoBites and the food truck LudoTruck, and is generally credited with carrying the flag for the fine-dining experience in SoCal. He’s certainly made his mark in the L.A. Basin and for the next few episodes, he invites viewers into his restaurants, his world and his thinking in Season 5 of “The Mind of a Chef,” airing Thursdays on PBS (check local listings).

The 45-year-old Lefebvre has seen much change in his 20 years as an Angelino, watching a restaurant scene that was based largely in French and Italian cuisine to one more influenced by Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian flavors. And he has changed with it, moving away from French ingredients and toward Asian.

And like a good Angelino, he knows that a lot of fine dining can be found in strip malls. He has two side by side in a strip mall in Los Angeles, Trois Mec and Petit Trois, the latter of which is the setting for this week’s episode.

“For me it was less pressure to open a restaurant in a strip mall because I can do whatever I want in a little restaurant like this,” he says. “Even if I decide to do ... for example, a Mexican restaurant tomorrow, I can do it because it’s low cost. It’s a small place, the costs are smaller and it gives you a lot of freedom to change if you want.

“You know, when you have a big restaurant you can’t change just like this, a whole concept,” he continues in his thick French accent. “So for me to be in a strip mall, it was more about freedom, express myself the way I want and ... also less pressure financially. ... I don’t need to spend $2 million and I don’t want to do that.”

For Lefebvre, the strip mall is also representative of the L.A. lifestyle that he now so enthusiastically embraces.

“The strip mall – that’s Los Angeles, California,” he says. “You know, we have a lot of strip malls here and I love it because I know it’s not Paris but at least in my strip mall I know I can walk. I love it. I can walk and get my donuts, to my cleaner, I go to get my pedicure and manicure. I like it. You know, it’s life happening in the strip mall and I like that.”

Sit down for a conversation with Norman Lear and one feels as though they’re talking with a kindly uncle or grandfather, not a TV legend responsible for some of the most groundbreaking series in the medium’s history.

At 94, the creator of “All in the Family,” “Good Times,” “Maude,” “The Jeffersons” and “One Day at a Time,” among others, is a treasure trove of TV history and he recalls events on his shows as though they happened last year, not in the 1970s. His story is told in the new “American Masters” documentary “Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You,” premiering Tuesday, Oct. 25, on PBS (check local listings).

Anthony Hopkins OF “WESTWORLD” ON HBO

The 90-minute film uses stories from Lear, his family and friends to paint a picture of a man who rose from poor beginnings in Connecticut, to begin a career in television writing for “The Colgate Comedy Hour” with Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, then created TV shows that not only won Emmys but changed the content of national discourse.

A hallmark of Lear’s shows is that they never shied away from the hot-button issues of the day, be it prejudice on “All in the Family,” interracial marriage on “The Jeffersons” or abortion on “Maude.” That last series invited some controversy in its first season when in a Nov. 1972 episode, the character of 47-year-old suburban housewife Maude Findlay (Bea Arthur) opted to have an abortion – this at a time when Roe v. Wade was being argued in the Supreme Court.

Needless to say, CBS was less than thrilled at the potential backlash but Lear argued his case.

“I said, ‘Women at her age are faced with this problem. We want to do it,’ ” he says. “And as a result of the pressure from the network, we wrote in a character we didn’t have. It was a friend of Maude’s. She was pregnant with her fifth child and she had four children she couldn’t afford, and that was her story. And she would no more think of having an abortion than – ever. So she was having her fifth baby when Maude was losing her baby and that helped even it up.”

Probably Lear’s most noteworthy work is “All in the Family,” the landmark 197179 CBS comedy about Queens, N.Y., working-class bigot Archie Bunker, that won 22 Emmys, garnered near-universal critical acclaim and made a star of a character actor named Carroll O’Connor.

Lear and O’Connor worked together for eight years on “All in the Family” to create one of TV’s most indelible characters but it wasn’t always smooth sailing. Both were strong-willed men who had definite ideas of who Archie was and they often clashed, one time resulting in both men walking off set. It took the threat of a CBS lawsuit to bring them back.

Some of “All in the Family” is lifted from Lear’s childhood, including some of Archie’s traits (his father’s treatment of his mother, his chair) and the Bunker home, including the famous toilet flush.

“I lived in a house about that size, I grew up in that house,” Lear says. “... We had one toilet (that) my sister and my father and mother and I shared upstairs.”

Truly, those were the days.

How did you create your character of theme park chief Robert Ford on HBO’s “Westworld”?

I just learned the lines and showed up. It’s all on the page. You don’t have to create anything. A lot of actors would disagree with my idea but I think all the knowledge you need is in the script. And whoever wrote the script, whether it’s Jonah Nolan or Tennessee Williams or Shakespeare or Sophocles, all the information you need is in there and is in the text. You can interpret it in any way you want. That’s the freedom for the actor. And if a director may oppose that and say, ‘Well, I don’t think that’s going to work.’ ‘OK, let’s try another way.’ But my job is to interpret what my idea of the personality is that I’m playing.

So you don’t create a backstory or anything?

No, waste of time. ... You know, you can be conscious of what you had for breakfast but it doesn’t make any difference. The audience doesn’t recognize it. And the Stanislavski method is great and the method is fine but I find there are easier ways of doing it instead of beating yourself up and beating your head against a wall to create something. Why do all that? ... You can overthink everything.

So when you played an intense character like a Hannibal Lecter, you didn’t need to come down from him afterward?

No. I’d show up and have a cup of coffee with Jodie (Foster, his costar in “The Silence of the Lambs”) afterward. ... If you start taking it seriously, you’ll go nuts so I don’t take any of it seriously. ... I knew some actors who were so into the part that they were a complete pain in the butt to be with: rude, surly, turned up late, showed up late because they thought they were important and in turn kept the crew waiting for hours because they were getting into the character.

Sarah Jessica Parker of “Divorce” on HBO “Where to begin. ‘Frontline,’ ‘Independent Lens,’ ‘House Hunters International,’ ‘The Great British Baking Contest.’ Matthew (Broderick, her husband): ‘Portlandia.’ Recently, a lot of the debates or primaries or things like that, like election night returns stuff gets big play. ‘American Masters.’

... Do you know, ‘Globe Trekker’? It’s fantastic. A lot of shows on travel that aren’t kind of supported by advertising in some way I like a lot. And ‘30 for 30,’ every single episode on ESPN.”

Ana Gasteyer of “People of Earth” on TBS

“I have children, so we record ‘American Ninja Warrior’ because that’s important. We record ‘Game of Thrones.’ We record ‘Meet the Press.’ I watch everything that everyone else watches. That’s really said. I watch every HBO. I watch a lot of dramas. I watch a lot of stuff on Netflix, I’m not going to lie. I watch like ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Lady Dynamite,’ ‘Happy Valley.’ We record ‘Luther.’ We watch a lot of really violent dramas. We watch ‘Walking Dead’ and ‘Fear the Walking Dead,’ and so we tape Chris Hardwick’s ‘Talkback’ shows on those because I feel like they’re harder to find. I taped ‘Maya and Marty’ because sometimes I’m afraid I won’t be able to pull things up. Anything my friends are on, I tend to tape.”

Lee Majors of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ on Starz

“I’m catching up right now on ‘Ray Donovan’ and I guess waiting for ‘Fargo.’ You know, I loved the first ‘True Detective,’ the one with Matthew McConaughey. The second one, (with) Colin Farrell, I couldn’t get into that one. It wasn’t as good. But this year, they’ve come up with another one called ‘The Night Of.’ Those are the main ones that I’ve been watching. I’m mostly sports and news. I don’t miss a football game, I don’t care who’s playing.”

‘Norman Lear: Another Version of You’ profiles a true TV pioneer
Victoria Justice, seen recently in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again” on Fox: “My guilty pleasure is ‘The Bachelorette.’ ”

THURSDAY

The NFC West has been a two-team race for the past few years; those teams, the Arizona Cardinals, with their veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, and the Seattle Seahawks, face off Oct. 23, on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Both teams got off to slow a start this year so this midseason match up is a big one for all teams in the division. Last season the Cards went 13-3, handily winning the division over Seattle before bowing to Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship. Fitzgerald had another solid season, playing in all 16 games and catching 109 passes for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s been the go-to-guy for every quarterback he’s played with, including Carson Palmer. It’s hard to forget the Cardinal’s exciting playoff win against Green Bay last season when, on the first play of overtime, Palmer hit Fitzgerald on a short pass then sprinted 75 yards to the Green Bay five-yard line. Two plays later he hauled in the winning touchdown. Fitzgerald is no doubt a future hall-of-famer. He opened this season by catching his 100th career touchdown pass, making him one of only ten players to achieve that feat. Although he may not catch Jerry Rice’s record of 197, Fitzgerald could finish his career among or very close to the top five. For now the focus is on getting the Cards, who were among the NFL’s best in both offense and defense last season, back on track with an eye toward the postseason.

Checking in with ODETTE ANNABLE

Odette Annable and her husband have taken turns playing doctor ... and it’s hers again this television season.

Her fellow-actor spouse Dave has worn the garb and spoken the jargon on series including “Red Band Society” and “Heartbeat,” and after her work on “House,” she returns to medical matters as the CBS drama “Pure Genius” premieres Thursday, Oct. 27. Along with Dermot Mulroney and Reshma Shetty (“Royal Pains”), she plays a staff member at a specialized hospital dedicated to solving medical mysteries, with funding from a Silicon Valley tycoon (Augustus Prew) who has very personal reasons for bankrolling the project.

“The technology on this show is so different from anything that I have ever seen,” Annable says, “and I really feel like the hospital itself is a character. That was the big difference that I saw. I loved working on ‘House,’ and it was such an incredible experience for me. Doing this, it’s just – for me – a completely different show.

“The wonderful thing here is that nothing is fake,” adds Annable, “We’re talking about real technology that is in the works or already being used. It’s all happening, and it’s so exciting to be a part of a show like that. I walk on the set and I’m blown away by what I see.”

Created by executive producer Jason Katims (“Parenthood,” “Friday Night Lights”), “Pure Genius” is the latest of several series for Annable, who has ABC’s “The Astronaut Wives Club” and Cinemax’s “Banshee” in her recent past.

“I feel really lucky,” she reflects, “and I hope I continue to work, because I love to do it. Now I have a baby, and I thought I would want to stay home longer. I actually didn’t know how I’d feel, but for me, working and feeling fulfilled makes me a better mom. My mom always worked, and I adore her and we’re best friends, and I want the same for (my own daughter) Charlie. And I’m working on something that I love, and I think it’s an important show.”

SUNDAY

1 p.m. on NBCSN

NASCAR Racing

For those who like sheer speed and big track racing today’s Alabama 500 from Talladega Superspeedway should suffice. It’s also an elimination race for four drivers from NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship as the Round of 12 closes out and the field is narrowed down to eight drivers. Joey Logano won here in 2015 while Brad Keselowski celebrated in Victory Lane in the spring. At press time both were still in the Chase, trying to catch Martin Truex Jr.

8 p.m. on AMC

The Walking Dead If you thought the long-awaited return of this series would somehow include a fake-out, that one of the familiar characters hadn’t gotten a fatal kiss from a baseball bat called Lucille, think again. There reportedly is, indeed, a death in the opening of tonight’s Season 7 premiere, and it’s going to hurt for a lot of fans, as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the formidable new archvillain, gives the survivors a violent look at the fate of anyone who does not bend to his will.

8:30 p.m. on KOKI

The Last Man on Earth

Gail (Mary Steenburgen) finds herself absolutely pushed to her breaking point during a post-apocalyptic (what else?) road trip that has everyone at one another’s throats in the new episode “Five Hoda Kotbs.” Will Forte, Kristen Schaal, January Jones, Mel Rodriguez and Cleopatra Coleman round out the cast.

9 p.m. on USA

Eyewitness

Lukas and Philip (James Paxton, Tyler Young) receive disturbing yet compelling evidence that the killer is still alive in “Bless the Beast and the Children,” while Helen (Julianne Nicholson) struggles as best she can to prevent this all-consuming case from taking a toll on her marriage to Gabe (Gil Bellows). Meanwhile, a new head of the FBI task force is revealed. Warren Christie also stars.

Speaking of the latter, a familiar face comes back into his life. Donal Logue, David Mazouz and Morena Baccarin also star; Kieran Mulcare guest stars.

7:30 p.m. on KOTV Man With a Plan

Following the end of “Episodes,” Matt LeBlanc gets back to a more traditional form of television comedy with this saga of a contractor whose wife (“Yes, Dear” alum Liza Snyder) rejoins the work force, making him a “Mr. Mom.” Initially, he’s overwhelmed in trying to tend to their three kids — but he eventually gets a grip on the situation and makes it clear who’s the boss, even if it takes frequent reminders. Kevin Nealon also stars as LeBlanc’s older brother.

8:30 p.m. on KOTV

The Odd Couple Oscar (Matthew Perry) finds out that Langford’s, his favorite hangout, is struggling to survive, so he asks Felix (Thomas Lennon) to help him save it, in the new episode “Food Fight.” Unfortunately, he neglects to consider how overthe-top Felix’s “help” is apt to be, especially when the owner, Fred Langford (guest star Fred Willard), puts Felix in charge of the place for a few days. Jerry Lambert also guest stars; Lindsay Sloane and Wendell Pierce also star.

9:01 p.m. on KJRH Timeless

No pressure, guys! Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus (Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett) land in Nazi Germany in the midst of World War II, where they race to stop Flynn (Goran Visnjic) by pursuing a genius with sinister associations. They also meet one of literature’s most popular figures, and attend an awkward ”Party at Castle Varlar” (the new episode’s subtitle). Sean Maguire (“Once Upon a Time”) and Matt Frewer (“Orphan Black”) guest star.

TUESDAY

7 p.m. on KOKI 2016 World Series

The Fall Classic returns as the 112th World Series begins on Fox where the American League team will have home field advantage and host Games 1 and 2. That was decided by the 2016 All-Star Game in July, which was won by the AL. Last year the Kansas City Royals took care of the New York Mets in five games as the series extended into November, as it

could this year if it goes at least six games. Joe Buck is among those calling the action.

7:30 p.m. on KTUL American Housewife Jealous that Taylor (Meg Donnelly) is friendly with perfect neighbor Viv (recurring guest star Leslie Bibb), Katie (Katy Mixon) reluctantly decides to compete in the Westport Halloween zombie run after learning that both the other women are participating in the new episode “Westport Zombies.” Meanwhile, Anna-Kat and Greg (Julia Butters, Diedrich Bader) take things a little too far as they get into character for the “zombie obstacle course” portion of the race.

8 p.m. on KJRH This Is Us

Moving back in time, the new episode “The Game Plan” — which reveals the history behind the family’s passionate support of the Pittsburgh Steelers — finds the childless Jack and Rebecca (Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore) debating the prospect of starting a family. Kevin (Justin Hartley), meanwhile, discovers that the script for his part in the play is relevant to his own life, and Beth and Randall (Susan Kelechi Watkins, Sterling K. Brown) confront an unexpected turn of events.

9 p.m. on SYFY Aftermath

After she gratefully accepts some help from an old friend, Karen (Anne Heche) is haunted by an eerie, persistent harbinger of death in a new episode called “A Clatter and a Chatter.” Gradually, the Copelands are forced to realize that no refuge is truly safe in these desperate times. James Tupper, Levi Meaden, Taylor Hickson and Julia Sarah Stone also star.

WEDNESDAY

7 p.m. on KQCW Arrow

A new episode called “Penance” finds Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) teaming up to carry out a secret mission for Diggle (David Ramsey). When she finds out about this gambit, a thoroughly disapproving Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) elects to stay behind at mission control. That’s where she is when Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman) launches

an assault against the city, leaving Felicity to mull whether to send out recruits without the Green Arrow.

7:30 p.m. on KTUL Speechless

When Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) gets depressed that none of his kids wants to participate in the DiMeo clan tradition of dressing up for Halloween, Maya (Minnie Driver) urges him to spend time taking things off the family’s “Dead to Me” list. Ray (Mason Cook) recruits Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) to help work the school’s haunted mansion, while Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) fears he’s about to get fired after JJ (Micah Fowler) gets drunk at a party in this new episode.

9 p.m. on KJRH Chicago P.D.

After the corpse of a college student with a backpack full of fentanyl washes up in the lake, Voight’s (Jason Beghe) unit is tasked with finding the source of the deadly drug, which is linked to overdoses around the city, in the new episode “A War Zone.” Elsewhere, Tay (guest star Li Jun Li) finds a bloodied child with a dark story about his parents and receives some bad career news from Platt (Amy Morton).

9 p.m. on KTUL Designated Survivor

Forced to admit to himself that his diplomatic attempts with Algeria have fallen short, President Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) reluctantly decides to send Navy SEALs on a mission that, whatever its outcome, could well define his presidency in the new episode “The Mission.” Agent Hannah Wells (Maggie Q) discovers more secrets than answers as her investigation into the Capitol bombing continues. Natascha McElhone, Adan Canto, Italia Ricci and Kal Penn also star.

THURSDAY

7 p.m. on KJRH Superstore

In the seasonal new episode “Halloween Theft,” Dina (Lauren Ash) blows a gasket after something apparently is stolen from the store and forbids the staff from leaving until someone fesses up. Mateo (Nico Santos) fears missing his secret date with Jeff (guest star Michael Bunin), while Amy (America Ferrera) doesn’t want to miss trick-or-treating with her little girl. Jonah and Cheyenne (Ben Feldman, Nichole Bloom) have more in common than they thought.

7:31 p.m. on KOTV

The Great Indoors

It’s Joel McHale (“Community”) vs. Millennials in the premiere of this comedy, casting him as an outdoor-magazine journalist who has to bring his adventurous spirit inside when the publication goes digital. Christopher MintzPlasse (“Superbad”) plays one of the young staff members he

tries to oversee. Famously droll British actor-comedian Stephen Fry plays the magazine’s founder, with Susannah Fielding as his daughter ... McHale’s ex-girlfriend and immediate boss.

8 p.m. on KQCW Supernatural

During the long run of this hit series, Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles) have focused far more on babes than babies, but it’s the latter that holds their attention in the new episode “The Foundry.” After a crying infant leads to a death in a creepy abandoned house, the Winchester brothers investigate, while Castiel and Crowley (Misha Collins, Mark A. Sheppard) warily team up to hunt for Lucifer (guest star Rick Springfield).

9 p.m. on KOTV Pure Genius

Gary Johnson

Late Night with Seth Meyers

Donald Trump spoke at a rally yesterday and told supporters that Hillary Clinton’s campaign is the most unserious campaign in American history. Unserious? This is the person you’re calling unserious? shows photo of frowning Hillary She always looks like you just told her you wrecked her car. In an interview yesterday, Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson was unable to name any world leaders when asked who his favorite head of state was. Wow. This might have cost him the election.

America Online founder Steve Case endorsed Hillary Clinton for president today. Although the last thing Hillary wants to hear is “You’ve got mail.”

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Hillary Clinton actually went to her granddaughter’s second birthday party instead of preparing for the first debate against Trump. I guess she figured being around a bunch of screaming toddlers might help her even more.

While speaking to students at the University of New Hampshire yesterday, Hillary Clinton said, “Isn’t this one of the strangest elections you’ve ever seen?” And then college kids were like, “Uh,

we’re 18. It’s the ONLY election we’ve ever seen.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

We are still trying to figure out who won Monday’s presidential debate. Democrats say Hillary won, while Republicans are strong in their conviction that there are still two more debates.

Secretary Clinton is still struggling with millennials. By the way, if you’re not sure who millennials are, they’re the ones who never use the term “millennials.”

The Late Late Show With James Corden

This week a woman came home from a vacation in Florida to find the two burglars who had ransacked her house were still there having sex on her couch. The woman came home to find valuables missing and an orgy in her living room — that is normally called Airbnb.

If you ever wondered why your grandmother is so particular about covering her sofa in plastic, now you know.

Jimmy Kimmel Live

According to the FBI, foreign hackers have made several attempts to breach voter registration websites in the United States with an intent to influence the outcome of the election or steal personal information. The FBI warned that that, quote, “Bad actors have been repeatedly trying to hack us.” It could be a number of suspects — Russia, China, Steven Seagal. Could be Matt Damon. There are a lot of bad actors out there.

Conan O’Brien

Hillary Clinton has vowed to crack down on hackers who launch cyberattacks. She said, “If anyone’s going to abuse U.S. government computers, it’s gonna be me.”
