SUSTAINABLE MICROHOME

SUMMARY

At the outset of this project, I was given a footprint square footage restriction on which to design a home. From that beginning restriction, I began to consider not only the physical footprint but also the environmental footprint. The result is a microhome located in rural Maquoketa, Iowa which utilizes both active and passive environmental solutions to create a comfortable residence for two with a minimized environmental footprint.
