Joy Stevens was honored for 25 years with the city. Mayor Jeff Stanley recognized city employees for their longstanding contributions for the City of Howe. Bill French was awarded with a 5year pin, Bert Dowlen was awarded with a 15-year plaque, and Joy Stevens was recognized with a 25year plaque. Sam Haigis was also recognized for 25 years of service, but he was not present.
Mayor Stanley also recognized out going Howe Police Chief Carl Hudman with a plaque that read, "We applaud your leadership, courage, and fortitude. Your contribution has been a glowing example for all to see and admire. You have a new standard for excellence."
