Howe Community Library updates policies regarding adult books The Howe Community Library sought and obtained approval from both the Howe ISD Board of Trustees and the Howe City Council last week for a change in how students can check out certain books. Currently children through eighth grade have been restricted, unless permission from parent, to check out books from the young adult or the adult section. Based on some experiences had by the library, they felt it was necessary to recommend to strike the adult section.

Apparently, students who had permission to check out books from the adult section were then taking them to school and sharing the content with students who did not have the same permissions. The library took the necessary steps to curb that issue.
