This award acknowledges that the apprentice has truly established themselves as an indispensable member of their employer’s workforce, has shown an entrepreneurial spirit, or has played a key role in projects vital for new business or product development.
It’s presented to the individual who has worked tirelessly to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours their employer needs. This apprentice has a clear idea of their future career path and the necessary steps they need to take to reach their ultimate career goals.
The Innovation Award is for those currently undertaking an Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Apprenticeship, or who have completed one in the last 12 months.
Representing the future of engineering, this award recognises the engineer who may be still in their apprenticeship - at any level - or who has completed their programme within the last 12 months.
The award belongs to a recognised innovator; an individual who sees solutions and opportunities where others see problems. It is presented to the individual who has made a recognised impact on their employer’s business in terms of cost, time or resource through their innovation and ideas.
The innovation could be solving a current issue, finding a better way of working or future-proofing the business.
The Sport, Leisure and Beauty Apprentice of the Year Award is for those currently undertaking Sport, Leisure and Beauty Apprenticeship, or who have completed one in the last 12 months.
Representing grit, determination and resilience, this award is designed to recognise the drive and passion of the individual it’s presented to.
The winner will demonstrate their genuine love for Sport, Fitness, Beauty or Leisure and their drive for success by proving their talent and skill in a wide range of disciplines.
They will display their commitment to their subject through their stellar work and innovative ideas.
The Construction Apprentice of the Year Award is for those currently undertaking a construction apprenticeship, or who have completed one in the last 12 months.
This award recognises the individual who is making huge strides towards building a better future for themselves and their employer.
It is designed to recognise both the outstanding practical skills and knowledge of the winner.
It also recognises their commitment to continuous personal development and the constant drive to learn and grow as both an individual and a professional.
The winner will tirelessly strive for perfection in all they do. They will be proactive in seeking best practice from the wider construction industry and will be able to demonstrate that their skills, abilities and knowledge are vital to the success and continued growth of their employer.
The Childcare and Teaching Apprentice of the Year Award is for those currently undertaking a childcare and teaching apprenticeship, or who have completed one in the last 12 months.
Representing passion, care and investment, this award is designed to commend the apprentice’s ability to inspire and educate. The winner will demonstrate their genuine passion for delivering great care and education by proving their drive and ambition to help the upcoming generation develop to their full potential and ability.
The Higher Apprentice of the Year Award recognises those currently undertaking, or who have recently completed a Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4 and 5) within the last 12 months.
This award celebrates an apprentice who has shown outstanding commitment to their development and made a significant impact within their organisation. The winner will demonstrate advanced technical skills, leadership qualities, and a forward-thinking approach, bridging the gap between learning and leading.
They will be recognised for embracing challenges, transforming learning into business value and mentoring others.
Their achievements will be evident through successful involvement in strategic projects, delivering tangible results and inspiring fellow apprentices to reach new heights.
The Degree Apprentice Award is for those who are undertaking or have completed a Degree Apprenticeship in the last 12 months.
This category recognises and rewards the true dedication and outstanding contributions of a degree apprentice to their workplace, training or both.
The winner will be able to showcase their true commitment to their apprenticeship and their employer and will demonstrate their ability to provide value and insight into their business.
They will have strong dedication to their careers and their training and development, and will have proven themselves as an invaluable member of their organisation who provides value and motivates others to reach for success.
They can prove their outstanding achievements by their involvement in key projects, where their insight and ability has been made apparent by the value they add to their workplace.
The winner goes above and beyond in their work and their training and exhibits a high level of ability, knowledge and skill in their industry sector.
Their work is constantly contributing to their organisation and has great impact on the business, its processes and colleagues.
The Small Employer Award is for businesses currently offering Themis Apprenticeships within their organisation.
This award recognises and congratulates an outstanding employer that is wholly committed to supporting the development of apprenticeship programmes within their organisation.
The winner will illustrate how apprenticeship programmes have been effectively implemented within the organisation and how such programmes have created measurable growth and development within the workforce and the organisation as a whole.
The Large Employer Award is for businesses currently offering Themis Apprenticeships within their organisation.
This award recognises and congratulates an outstanding employer that is wholly committed to supporting the development of apprenticeship programmes within their organisation.
The winner will illustrate how apprenticeship programmes have been effectively implemented within the organisation and how such programmes have created measurable growth and development within the workforce and the organisation as a whole.
The Apprentice Champion/Mentor Recognition Award celebrates exceptional individuals who work at the amazing companies Themis partners with to provide apprenticeships.
They’re the people who demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting and championing their apprentices, supporting and mentoring them.
This category recognises and celebrates someone who goes above and beyond to guide, inspire and advocate for apprentices within their organisation. The winner will showcase their genuine passion for nurturing talent and their ability to unlock the potential in every apprentice they support.
The winner consistently exceeds expectations, demonstrating the passion and expertise that makes them an invaluable champion of apprenticeship excellence and a true advocate for the next generation of skilled professionals.
