Dear Members:

Spring is upon us and the club is bustling with activity and social vibrancy. It is a great time of year to enjoy the outdoors with all the amenities Wexford has to offer. April is a busy month of programming for your enjoyment so please be on the look out for many events in Clubhouse, on the course and courts, and around our harbour. We look forward to your participation, and reservations are always encouraged so we can properly prepare to serve you. Most recently we have seen an increase in activity and demand at our pool and pool bar, and I am excited to announce the future installation of kitchen equipment and additional staffing to better serve you pool-side. In the most recent Board of Directors meeting, it was approved to amend the current pool policies to prohibit outside food and beverage on the pool deck except for Mondays when the Clubhouse is closed. As always, and currently indicated in the pool policies, outside alcohol is always prohibited to protect Wexford’s liability and alcohol license. We appreciate your adherence to these policies as we welcome the opportunity to serve you at our pool bar. I am pleased to share that the Strategic Plan and Pickleball Court design was approved in the March Board of Directors Meeting. Please refer to this edition of Club Times for further information. We will display design boards around the club and tennis center for you to review the Pickleball architectural drawing at your leisure. Marvin Morrison and his team are diligently addressing the ongoing speeding and traffic violations in the community. In the month of February, the security team radared 714 vehicles of which 65% of them were within the speed limit and an additional 27% were within 5 mph over. Please continue to be aware of your speed when you are in Wexford as we will continue to be monitoring speed and traffic for the safety of all members, guests, and staff. The Irrigation Project is now complete on the golf course, and I commend Chris Neff and his team for remaining diligent with the schedule, budget and course playability. I want to further recognize the membership for their patience and understanding while we enhanced the infrastructure to support one of our most important assets. To the committees who assisted with this project and the overall guidance from the Board of Directors, on behalf of Chris Neff, his team and I, thank you for the collaboration and partnership to complete this capital project ahead of schedule and better than budget.
