Going to secondary school is nerve-wracking for everyone, but for Robin even more so. On his very first day, he wasn't just worried about how he looked or whether his classmates would like him. He was also anxious about finding his way around when he couldn't hear the announcements over the intercom. About how his classmates would react to his interpreter. And about how to make friends when his first language isn't Dutch, but Sign Language.
In Are You Deaf!? Robin Frings tells, with both humour and poignancy, how he navigated secondary school with his disability – and with the limitations imposed on him by those around him.
After Robin Frings started posting videos on social media to raise awareness about sign language, he was invited to work as a music interpreter at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Tineke Honingh
Regards from Sem Valentine
During a week without Wi-Fi (a brilliant idea from her parents), Sem starts writing letters out of boredom. About school, and of course about Valentine’s Day, a day that she'd rather skip entirely because of her last name. Because on Valentine’s Day, her father plans embarrassing surprises, her brother “gets himself” a girlfriend, and even her grandpa brags about the best Valentine’s gift ever (himself in pink swimming trunks).
Then suddenly at school, it’s all anyone can talk about too, especially when Sem’s band becomes the main act at the Valentine’s Day party… Could this finally be the moment she dares to tell her best friend Cas how she really feels about them?

Tineke Honingh writes stories for children and young adults, as well as short stories for magazines, screenplays for comic books, a serial on the internet and entire books, such as The (Un)usual Story of Bo (and Tom), which was highly praised upon publication.

On the Move Migrations that changed the world
Migration is as old as humanity itself. But what do we really know about it, and how do you explain it to children? This book offers a clear and captivating overview of the most important migrations in world history. From hunter-gatherers and the transatlantic slave trade to today’s climate refugees, it tells the stories of people on the move and the farreaching impact of their journeys.
Wherever people move, cultures meet, and those encounters have shaped our world in ways we often don’t realize: from money to mobile phones, from Ötzi to Einstein, from pizza to passports.
Aimée de Jongh is a Dutch illustrator and the author of several acclaimed graphic novels. Her work has won multiple literary prizes and received international recognition. With roots in the former Dutch East Indies, she often explores themes of migration and history in her books. Tina De Gendt is a historian, writer, and one of the leading experts on migration history in Flanders.

A train follows the tracks, bringing passengers at an appointed time to an appointed place. Trains don't get lost. But people's thoughts do.
Dream away with passengers from all over the world. Watch the landscape go by through their eyes and discover where that view leads them in their thoughts.
Winny Ang works as a child and adolescent psychiatrist and specializes in culturally sensitive care. Marijn Brouckaert's projects focus on connecting people through books. Eleni Debo is a two-time winner of the World Illustration Awards and she regularly works for media outlets such as the BBC, de Volkskrant, Die Zeit, and The New York Times.

The text is poetic and sparks the imagination with mysterious sentences, but the illustrations truly steal the show. Both the images as a whole and the details are enchanting.
