GENERAL INFORMATION

larger and livestock trailers will be required, immediately after unloading, to park in designated areas. No parking permit is required for trailers. Trailers will be parked in the Luebbe East Lot, which is located on Stuhr Road east of the Fairgrounds.

WELCOME: Welcome to the NebraskaN Livestock Show, to be held at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds on Fonner Park. We encourage your participation. We are pleased to host you and your exhibits during this alternative January event while you enjoy your stay in Grand Island.

MOTORIZED AUXILIARY VEHICLES: No motorized utility vehicles such as 4-wheelers, golf carts, etc. will be allowed on the Fonner Park grounds during the NebraskaN Livestock Show.

MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to offer you an opportunity to exhibit and market your cattle in a strictly cattle environment, to grass roots cattlemen in January.

FIRE REGULATIONS: No smoking/vaping in any buildings or barns. No flammable liquids are allowed in any buildings.

COMPETITION: Competition is open to the world except where otherwise specified.

ALCOHOL ABUSE: To safeguard exhibitors, livestock and the public, the State of Nebraska Rules on Alcohol Use and Abuse will be enforced. Excessive use of alcohol will not be tolerated. No one under the age of 21 is permitted to drink alcoholic beverages. Security and the State Patrol may be called if necessary.

AGREEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: At no time will the NebraskaN assume care, custody or control of any animals and/or personal property of any exhibitor. Exhibitors will have full custody and control, and will care for, feed and keep safe their animals, livestock and personal property, all in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NebraskaN Show Management. NEBRASKAN COURTESY STATEMENT: In any barn, the NebraskaN Management Group expects that all exhibitors will extend courtesy to the public, other exhibitors and their animal exhibits. This includes respect for designated areas, informational signage and division barriers. Any questions regarding this should be referred to the Superintendent of your show or the NebraskaN Management Group. PARKING: Purchasing a parking permit is optional, however exhibitors wishing to park in designated livestock parking areas will require a permit to enter. This permit may be purchased on the entry form ($20 for exhibitors) or at the Livestock Check-In Trailer and is for the sole use of the exhibitor. PARKING PERMITS MUST BE SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE LOWER LEFT CORNER, DRIVER’S SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD OF THE VEHICLE. It is recommended that livestock exhibitor vehicles park in places designated by the NebraskaN Management Group. The NebraskaN Group assumes no obligation and no liability for any theft or damage that may occur to the vehicle or its contents. No vehicles will be allowed to park for the sole purpose of advertising. All trucks ½ ton or

SMOKING/VAPING: To safeguard exhibitors and livestock, smoking and vaping is prohibited in all barns. Smoking/vaping is only allowed outside the buildings and barns. All exhibitors and guests are asked to cooperate with us in enforcing this rule. FEED AND BEDDING: All feed and bedding needs will be handled by Mid Nebraska Feeds, which is the local Purina dealer. Hay, straw, bedding and/or feed will be available. The first bedding will be provided for exhibitors in the Tom Dinsdale Automotive Cattle Barn and Sheep Barn. Bedding for the Pen Cattle, located in the Aurora Cooperative Pavilion, can be purchased from Mid Nebraska Feeds. ONLY STRAW will be used in the tie-out and night pen areas. Exhibitors will be permitted to bring onto the grounds a limited amount of feed, hay or straw. CHECK-IN TRAILER HOURS: Open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on move in days. They will be open limited hours otherwise for purchasing passes or parking permits. Please check the NebraskaN website, www.theNebraskan.org, for any updates. Also, please check prior to your arrival for any time changes. If you will be late or delayed for some reason, please call ahead.
