Living Well – November 2025

Page 1

North America is in the heart of the fall season and cooling downward in the direction of winter. Autumn leaves have fallen. Shorter days of light mark the month of November, but in this issue of Living Well, light continues to shine brightly on the healthy effects of the AIM products within this November magazine.

Customers and Members have made an important lifestyle choice by selecting from the AIM lineup that supports their well-being right down to the cellular level. “Healthy Cell Mitochondria” are at the forefront of research on cells and another important answer to the question of “Why AIM: The Healthy Cell Concept.” Healthy cells depend on a dietary intake of omega-3 and -6, and this month’s magazine takes a look at the healthiness of “AIMega’s Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids” for cell membranes and more.

Testimonials in the following pages focus largely on transitional journeys. “MenoPause - The Joys of It!” is a personal story from AIM Blue Diamond Director Janine Durrant, who regards AIM supplements as a treasure of nutrients that supported her health journey. There are also the admirable journeys along Indiana trails taken by AIM Directors Floyd and Rosa Stutzman via “AIM-Powered Bicycling.”

November’s “Fresh Focus on CalciAIM” underscores why this calcium supplement is a safe and effective choice for this essential mineral. “Beetroot Juice, Mouth Microbiome and Blood Pressure” is quite a titled mouthful, but the latest research on the benefits of vegetable nitrate are worth savoring for good health. The same can be said for “The Fibermaxxing AIM” as a health trend adopted by the younger generation.

This month heralds in the holiday season with Thanksgiving in late November, leading into the season of gift giving, with an AIM emphasis on “Healthy Gifts.” And this magazine includes its puzzling gift of a crossword based on the pages in this issue of Living Well magazine. Read away for the answers!

AIMega’s Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids

The AIMega formulation is characterized by organic seed oils that provide plant-based sources of omega-3 and -6. Both are essential fatty acids that the human body cannot synthesize, so omega-3 and -6 must be a part of a person’s dietary intake.

AIMega offers a supplemental source of these good fats that are vital for the healthy structure and function of cell membranes, along with essential support for various body systems and modulation of the inflammatory response.

people. An imbalanced intake is problematic, which is why AIMega delivers twice the amount of omega-3 over -6 in each capsule.

4033E, $30.00 M, $32.00 C (CAN 4036E, $32.00 M, $34.50 C)

Part of the misconceptions surrounding omega-6 is the early research that emphasized its role in increasing inflammation and omega-3’s in reducing it. The latest research reveals that omega-6 produces inflammationfighting molecules, making LA more likely to be antiinflammatory than proinflammatory.¹

Lately, omega-6 as linoleic acid (LA) sourced from seed oils has been getting a lot of unscientific “inflammatory” heat on social media platforms, where misinformation flourishes. It’s the ultraprocessed foods that are unhealthy, not necessarily the seed oils in these poor sources of nutrition.

LA is actually a healthy polyunsaturated fat, but most people get far too much omega- 6 in their dietary intake compared to omega-3. It’s a case of too much of a good thing, not that omega-6 is bad for

Again, it’s primarily about healthy sources of omega-6 and the balance between the intake of omega-3 and -6. The cold-pressed, organic seed oils of flax, sunflower and sesame deliver the primary sources of these essential fatty acids in AIMega. The presence of organic olive oil also contributes a small amount of omega-6, along with its rich source of inflammation-fighting omega-9 fatty acids. In other words, AIMega’s omegas are supplementally superior.

Healthy Cell Mitochondria

Just as your body has organs with specific roles, your cells have organelles with important functions. These capsule-shaped structures within cells include nuclei that contain your genetic information and ribosomes that assemble your proteins. The deeper that research is directed at the significance of healthy cells, the more scientific attention is focused on mitochondria: organelles that act like the power generators of your body.

Mitochondria produce most of the energy that allows your body to survive and thrive. Each mitochondrion produces a chemical form of energy known as ATP, the abbreviation of adenosine triphosphate. ATP is said to be the energy currency that keeps your body going, just as money is a currency that keeps your lifestyle going.

The amount of energy required by your cells determines the number of mitochondria they contain. For example, there are likely hundreds to thousands of mitochondria in muscle cells, and your heart is a muscular organ that requires a multitude of these tiny generators of power for a lifetime of non-stop pumping.

One of the fascinating structural aspects of mitochondria is their unique set of 37 genes, which are inherited from your mother, via the egg cell. Along with being the only organelles with their own genome, mitochondria control various functions throughout your body with signaling molecules that circulate in the bloodstream. During stressful times, mitochondria can react by changing their shape or splitting, which helps your cells to adapt. These organelles can also jump-start the process of removing any damaged cells.

Research has shown that mitochondrial function is affected by health conditions, as well as aging although not the process of aging alone. The older people get, the less active they tend to be, and this reduces mitochondrial function.

That’s why lifelong exercise is a big factor in maintaining mitochondria for a long lifetime. Movement in any form qualifies as beneficial exercise for mitochondria. Of course, consuming wholesome sources of nutrition for these organelles to produce energy is of utmost importance. Exercise and food are two of the five avenues that define the AIM Healthy Cell Concept that also works as solid support for your mitochondria.

Healthy Gifts

Once again, the calendar is pointed in the direction of the holiday season next month, when sharing gifts is a traditional part of the celebrations. Whether giving zawadi during Kwanzaa, gifting gelt, dreidels, etc. for Hannukah or putting presents under a Christmas tree, gifting is one of the many ways to show that you care about someone.

Giving gifts does not have to be costly. It’s based on affordability. They can even be something handmade from the heart. And on the AIM side of giving gifts, making selections from the product lineup for the people you care about adds the personal touch of giving healthy gifts.

An AIM gift can be as simple as a BarleyLife sample pack that would introduce nutrition that works to someone. In fact, any selection from the BarleyLife family of whole-food nutrition is a gift that keeps on giving daily benefits. Whichever healthy example you choose to give this holiday season, be sure to include a datasheet or infographic, especially for anyone who has never tried AIM nutrition before.

You could also choose a product that targets a specific health goal of someone you know whether Composure for stress relief, Herbal Fiberblend for improved digestion or Proancynol 2000 for antioxidant protection. There’s just so much to choose from AIM nutrition that works.

As for AIM skincare that works, the REPLY trio of products and BioVivify would make a perfect present package for anyone on the side of pro-aging. It’s a combination that works from the outside in and the inside out for skin health.

When thinking about gifts you’re going to give this holiday season, you can’t go wrong by choosing the gift of health

MenoPause

The Joys of It!

in Gravelotte, South Africa

It happened like this for me. I started my AIM journey by taking small amounts of BarleyLife and so my "awakening" to the nutritional approach began. What astounded me then and remains my lighthouse today is how accurately my body sends signs and signals alerting me to an underlying cause.

I was privileged to be at the AIM Conference when AIMega was launched, and I have used it as my supplemental source of essential fatty acids (EFAs) ever since. AIM Members often say things like, "I love AIMega and BarleyLife," and I am right there too.

Years into navigating my health journey, I thought I was the unlucky one, entering perimenopause with night sweats, consequent sleep disturbances and a sudden whack of mood swings at quite a young age. I doubled Renewed Balance Cream (available in US Composure and my daily regulars, such Starter Pack. Nothing changed, except I had great, sustained energy and could cope with my day even though I was not sleeping through the night.

Frustrated and confused, I decided to reach for Peak Endurance. And as quickly as my symptoms had come, so they left. What a relief, never to return thankfully, and my balance normalized. I was in my mid-40s, and for the following few years, I was free of all symptoms.

Then, as it happens for so many of us, life dealt a blow, and I had to gather the courage to navigate the storm. My storm led me straight into menopause. It was a challenging time emotionally and physically, but spiritually it was a most profound and defining moment. I am forever grateful to have stepped into and through this phase with AIM and my faith.

A daily routine of downtime soaking my feet in Mag-nificence CWR and replenishing my body with Peak Endurance helped. I also discovered how delicious and powerful it is to add RediBeets to Peak Endurance. My daily AIM routine was a vital and noticeable part of my pursuit of health and wellness, as I embraced this surprisingly freeing and settling phase just as naturally as it had come.

The naturally occurring menopause hormonal stage in the life of a woman happens slap bang in the midst when life is shifting her to her next. Her children are leaving home, grandbabies are entering her life and heart, and her parents are embarking on their next and new. All the while, her body is shifting and empowering another control room for hormone balance.

The nutrient support offered in the mix of AIM supplements is a treasure. Our AIM nutritional supplements are concentrated forms of nourishing nutrients. They cleanse, restore, reboot and rejuvenate our bodies. Life is made of ups and downs. Our environments remain a challenge, but nature has solutions and replies.

This is why I choose AIM. And now, being on the 60-something side of life, I can look back and say I have not lacked nor been disappointed in this choice.

Brain health, as opposed to just mental health, should be taken seriously. In my experience, nothing compares to the comprehensive effectiveness of pure nature in concentrated supplement form. My motto is: but first, supplement. A nourished body is a powerhouse. Mental health is much more within reach when the nutrient basics are in place. And mental health is everything. Our attitude creates our world.

Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve. Contributors who submit a published testimonial in Living Well magazine receive a nutritional gift valued at $9.75 US.

Beetroot Juice, Mouth Microbiome and Blood Pressure . . .

As soon as you begin drinking a beverage made with RediBeets, the concentrated vegetable nitrate in the beetroot juice powder begins a conversion process to nitric oxide, even before you swallow.

Oral bacteria start converting beetroot nitrate to nitrite, which makes its way into the stomach, where the conversion to nitric oxide begins and continues in the bloodstream. The key feature of nitric oxide is that it relaxes and widens blood vessels, so it enhances circulation and helps to lower blood pressure if needed.

One of the most recent examples of the benefits of the vegetable nitrate in beetroot juice was revealed in a study published in the Free Radical Biology and Medicine journal (October 2025). Researchers investigated the initial interaction between beetroot juice and the oral microbiome, particularly in regard to aging.

RediBeets

1953E, $36.00 M, $39.00 C (CAN 1209E, $39.00 M, $42.50 C)

participants, whose levels were normal. This healthy effect of the nitrate in beetroot juice was likely due to changes that occur in the oral microbiome of the older participants, even though the nitrate-rich beetroot juice altered oral bacterial balance in both age groups.

The study’s participants were males and females divided into two age groups: 18–30 years old and 67–79 years old. In separate two-week sessions, they were given nitrate-rich beetroot juice followed by a two-week break before taking beetroot juice with the nitrate removed. In comparing the group responses to nitrate-rich beetroot juice, the results appeared to be age-related in regard to blood pressure benefits.

Only the blood pressure measurements of the older group decreased. At the start of the study, this group had higher blood pressure levels than the younger

It's important to note that if there is an imbalance of bad bacteria in the mouth, the conversion of nitrate decreases. The older participants who drank the nitraterich beetroot juice showed a significant decrease in bad bacteria and an increase in good bacteria.

In the end, the study results determined that these positive changes in the oral microbiome enhance the cardiovascular health of older individuals, who produce less nitric oxide as they age. Supplementing with beetroot juice is a nutritional way to increase the production of nitric oxide and, as a result, support the cardiovascular system.

The Fibermaxxing AIM

One of the latest trends for the younger generation is something all ages should embrace. The term “fibermaxxing” first appeared on social media platforms, extolling the benefits of maximizing your intake of dietary fiber. Most people do not get the recommended daily amount that ranges from 21 to 38 grams. Fibermaxxing is a fine antidote to this fiber deficiency.

Fibermaxxing is not a new idea. Going back in time to the 1960s, a surgeon by the name of Denis Burkitt was formulating his ideas on dietary fiber after his experiences in Africa. His key takeaway was that the locals did not have the same issues as commonly found in western countries because they had regular intakes of up to 100 grams of fiber daily. Now that’s fibermaxxing!

Digestive disorders continue to plague populations of people with fiber-deficient diets. Increasing their intake of plant-based food would greatly reduce this deficiency, but the popularity of ultra-processed foods continues to reduce fiber intake instead.

The AIM Companies recognized this deficiency by introducing not one but two fiber supplements: Herbal Fiberblend and Fit ’n Fiber. And the aim has always been to maximize your intake of fiber for improved health by supplementing with these healthy choices.

For ultimate cleansing and detoxifying, Herbal Fiberblend scrubs the intestinal tract with insoluble fiber, detoxifies the gut and promotes regular bowel movements. Each tablespoon of this blend of fiber and herbs adds 5 grams of fiber to your dietary intake.

Fit ’n Fiber also promotes regularity while being the ideal choice for weight management. Two tablespoons of this mix of fiber and herbs gives you 10 grams of fiber, 8 of which is prebiotic. This is the type of fiber that feeds the good bacteria that are your inner health care providers.

With choices of Herbal Fiberblend and Fit’ n Fiber, you can aim for fibermaxxing and hit your target healthily.

CalciAIM

4634E, $36.00 M, $39.00 C (CAN 5227E, $41.00 M, $44.50 C)

CalciAIM Advantages

CalciAIM supports bone health with three types of supplemental calcium in bioavailable powder form, along with absorptionboosting nutrients to ensure a sufficient dietary intake of this essential mineral.

Supplementing with capsules or tablets of calcium as a single ingredient can be problematic. They are difficult to digest and only a small percentage of the mineral is actually absorbed. CalciAIM delivers calcium and nutrients that enhance its absorption, all in powder form. When added to water, the calcium is already broken down into a bioavailable ionic form that your body assimilates far more effectively than capsules or tablets.

Calcium Absorption and Utilization

The dietary intake of calcium gets absorbed primarily in the small intestine. As this mineral circulates in the bloodstream, most of it is deposited in bones for safe keeping, like money in a bank. Any excess calcium ends up being eliminated during urination and bowel movements.

Did you know . . . ?

A few foods that contain calcium actually decrease its absorption due to the presence of specific compounds that stick to this mineral. Rhubarb and spinach are rich in oxalates that bind to calcium during digestion, inhibiting its absorption. Even worse, the phytates in wheat bran reduce the absorption of its own calcium and other food or supplement sources of calcium consumed at the same time. If you enjoy wheat bran, take CalciAIM at least two hours before or after eating this food source of fiber.

One serving of CalciAIM provides a safe and effective amount of supplemental calcium recommended for optimal absorption: 386 mg [US formulation] 400 mg [CA formulation].

AIM Directors Floyd and Rosa Stutzman of Etna Green, Indiana, are both in their mid-50s and regularly go on tandem bike riding adventures together, enjoying the outdoors. They average about 60-80 miles a day on their bike trips, sometimes spending the night in a motel, depending on the cycling distance.

Their next trip will be 120 miles or more when they do the Pumpkin Vine or Nickel Plate trails in Indiana. They go on their rides with friends, one of whom helped design their bikes.

Before taking the AIM products, Rosa had lower back pain as well as tight muscles and spasms in her legs. She did not know if bike riding would work for her, but after finishing their rides, she does not feel sore or worn out. Rosa attributes this to the AIM products that have been working for her for about 16 years. In actual fact, she feels better now than when she was in her 30s.

In the morning, Floyd and Rosa take BarleyLife, Peak Endurance and Frame Essentials. When they are finished for the day, they spray on or soak in Mag-nificence CWR. Taking the AIM products every day, the Stutzmans are enjoying the quality and journey of living an active life, and they are very thankful for nutrition that works to help them to do so.

Why AIM: The Healthy Cell Concept™

In recognizing why AIM is the right choice for improving and maintaining your health, it is important to note the healthy direction of the company from the very beginning.

Back in 1982, AIM offered Members the opportunity to be at the forefront of direct sales of a unique nutritious green powder, known as BarleyLife. * The concentrated nutrition that can be found only in young barley grass suddenly became available for human consumption, supporting whole-body health right to the cellular level. The following year, the AIM Healthy Cell Concept was published.

Your body is made of trillions of cells that form tissues, organs and body systems. The Healthy Cell Concept emphasizes the vital connection between the health of your cells and body and provides five avenues you can follow to support cellular health:

Food Exercise Environment Protection Attitude

Wholesome nutrition, regular physical activity, optimized internal and external factors, a strong defense and a positive outlook all support healthy cells, which are at the center of your entire well-being. Your cells work together like a team, and healthy players make a healthy you.

The quality of food you consume is the first important avenue, providing the fuel that energizes your body and the turnover of cells that build it. And even though your body can make some needed nutrients, the aging process reduces the production of some. Supplementing with AIM nutrition fills in the missing gaps, allowing your “team players” to continue being fed optimally, thereby maintaining cellular health.

Specific nutrients that your body cannot produce include omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids, which are integral to structure of cell membranes and cellular function. AIM offers AIMega* as a standalone natural health product in getting to the core of healthy cells.

Regular exercise combats the cellular dysfunction linked to a sedentary lifestyle. Physical activity actually increases your energy and makes you feel good from the positive effects on skeletal muscles and cells throughout your body.

Making your environment as healthy as possible is another avenue for keeping your cells healthy. And doing whatever you can do to support your immune system of defense is an avenue for cellular protection. The last but not the least avenue involves maintaining a positive attitude that will serve you and your cells well through good and bad times.

The Healthy Cell Concept is why AIM gets to the heart of health improvements and maintenance with nutrition that works.

* For additional products that target the five avenues, refer to the Healthy Cell Concept in the Download Center of your Member or Customer account on the AIM website.
