We’ve also curated a selection of key pieces and styling ideas to help bring these looks to life — making it easier than ever to create a home that reflects who you are and how you want to feel.

There is something so inspiring and uplifting about the Spring season and we embrace it with a warm hug every time it rolls around each year. From the flowers blooming in the garden to the days getting longer and warmer, it is a season of renewal and revitalisation. We can bring the same energy into our homes by tweaking a few simple things and adding in some new items for the season ahead. Here are my easy tips for brightening your home this Spring and how you can implement them this weekend.

RESIDENT STYLIST
The Spring season calls for lighter soft furnishings, both in colour and fabric composition. I recommend throw blankets in linen or cotton textures draped over the corner of a sofa or the end of a bed for a relaxed look. I also suggest switching out your faux fur and heavily textured cushions to beautiful Belgium linen alternatives in colours such as sage green or powder blue.
As much as we would all love to have a fresh bouquet of flowers in our home at all times, it isn’t always possible (nor in the budget). A great alternative is to add some faux stems to a gorgeous vase and place them in the centre of the dining table, on a buffet or the corner of a kitchen island bench. I love using faux olive tree stems, eucalyptus branches or ferns for a natural and effortless look.
The simplest and most affordable way to refresh your home and breathe life back into the spaces is to declutter and organise. Spring is the perfect time of year to go through each room in your home and donate or throw away items that are worn out, no longer fit or you know you won’t be using in the future. Once the declutter has occurred you can then add in some fun organisation tools such as baskets, containers and the all-important labels!
Texture is a great way to add interest in your home without going overboard on colour. I love opting for a textured vase or boucle ottoman to create intrigue and drawn the eye in. This way you can still embrace the classic neutral, laid-back look in your home styling without it falling flat.
Artwork can completely set the tone in a space and create wow factor upon entry. A great way to transform a room is by updating the artwork to something new and fresh that draws the eye in. For the Spring Summer season, I love selecting artwork in soft pastel tones that evoke a sense of ‘holiday at home’.
As we seek spaces that both ground and uplift us, Earthy Luxe emerges as the perfect balance of raw and refined. Rooted in nature but elevated by elegant details, this trend pairs tactile materials with luxurious finishes to create interiors that feel rich yet relaxed. Earthy Luxe speaks to our desire for calm, comfort, and understated beauty — reminding us that true luxury lies in the details.

Elevate your space with Earthy Luxe, where grounded tones meet refined finishes for a look that feels both organic and indulgent. Start with a base of warm neutrals — clay, sand, and olive — and build texture through raw materials like stone, linen, and weathered wood. Introduce luxurious touches with plush upholstery, brushed gold accents, or soft ambient lighting to create a sense of understated elegance. Earthy Luxe is all about balance — combining the natural world’s calming palette with sophisticated styling to craft a sanctuary that soothes and inspires.

When selecting a colour palette for the space, refer to nature and the many colours it provides us such as sage green, mocha brown, olive green and blush pink. Texture plays a huge role in decorating for this trend and I recommend selecting items that have some woven rattan detailing, raw linen fabrics and natural stone accents for an overall textural feel.

Design is stepping into the spotlight with Sculptural Silhouettes, where bold shapes and artistic forms redefine the way we see our spaces. Inspired by architecture and modern art, this trend turns everyday furniture and décor into expressive, statement-making pieces. A curved sofa, a pedestal coffee table, or an abstract light fixture, these forms are as functional as they are visually striking. Sculptural Silhouettes invite us to celebrate design with intention, creativity, and a sense of playful sophistication.

Make a bold statement with Sculptural Silhouettes, where form takes centre stage and furniture becomes art. Featuring curved lounges, abstract side tables, and lighting with unexpected angles — each piece designed to draw the eye and spark conversation. Keep your colour palette refined with soft neutrals or deep charcoals to let the shapes shine, and layer in tactile elements like boucle, marble, or matte ceramic for added depth. Sculptural Silhouettes celebrate the beauty of design in motion, transforming everyday spaces into striking, gallery-worthy interiors.

When designing a space using this trend, I like to pick one hero piece and base the room around this as a focal point. For example, I love using a beautiful, curvy sofa or statement plinth coffee table that draws the eyes in and creates a feature. This allows you to keep the remaining items within the space neutral and simple.

Sculptural design is taking centre stage in contemporary interiors, where form meets feeling and every curve tells a story.

There’s a quiet revolution reshaping the way we see and style our homes — and it’s anything but square. Rounded edges and asymmetric silhouettes mark the new wave of sculptural design and are turning modern interiors into expressive, artful sanctuaries. Gone are the days of harsh lines and flat surfaces. In their place? Soft curves, bold contrasts, and organic forms that blur the boundary between furniture and sculpture.
It’s more than aesthetic — it’s emotional. Curves evoke comfort. Fluid shapes feel instinctively human, inviting us to slow down and connect with our space. A crescent-shaped lounge, a rippling mirror, or a boldly contoured accent chair becomes more than just functional — it becomes a focal point, a conversation starter, and a design statement all in one.
At the heart of this movement is the idea that furniture should not only serve a purpose but also provoke a feeling. Whether it’s a plinth-like coffee table made from travertine or a cloud-like armchair in a plush boucle, sculptural pieces command attention without overwhelming. They ground a room while offering a sense of movement, creating interiors that feel alive and intentional.
To embrace this style at home, start small. Swap out a traditional rectangular mirror for a wavy or irregular shape. Introduce contrast with a curved lamp in a bold colour or place a subtly arched console in an otherwise linear hallway. These pieces work best when balanced offset dramatic shapes with neutral tones, or temper high-gloss finishes with matte textures to avoid visual chaos.
Sculptural design isn’t about adhering to a single look — it’s about playing with scale, silhouette, and material to create depth and personality. Pair a soft, round sofa with a jagged stone side table. Let a sinuous pendant light dangle over an angular dining table. The tension between soft and sharp, organic and structured, is what makes this trend so compelling.
Ultimately, curves and contrasts invite us to think differently about design. To see furniture not just as a utility, but as a canvas for creativity. And in doing so, we craft interiors that are not only modern — but meaningful.
In a world of fast-paced trends and fleeting moments, there’s comfort in the familiar. Vintage Revival celebrates the beauty of nostalgia — inviting us to reconnect with the charm, craftsmanship, and character of the past. It leans into layered interiors filled with meaningful finds, whether it’s a well-worn leather chair, a retro lamp, or a lovingly restored cabinet. More than just a look, Vintage Revival tells a story — bringing warmth, individuality, and soul into the modern home.

Embrace Vintage Revival by introducing timeless pieces that tell a story — velvet armchairs, retro sideboards, or a sculptural lamp with a nostalgic twist. Layering is key: mix patterned wallpaper with textured cushions, aged leather with soft linens, and pops of muted colour to evoke a sense of curated charm. Balance the look with warm woods and antique-inspired accessories like brass candlesticks or ceramic vases. Whether you lean into mid-century shapes or art deco details, Vintage Revival adds character and a sense of lived-in luxury to any space.

To ensure your space feels modern and fresh, whilst paying homage to older styles, opt for a few key pieces within the room to embrace the vintage vibe. I suggest pairing a vintage occasional chair and coffee table with a modern sofa for a contemporary feel or let your decorative items such as cushions, vases and light fixtures do the talking.

Monochrome Mood proves that a single colour palette can be anything but one-dimensional. With a focus on tonal layering, material contrast, and a strong sense of cohesion, this trend offers a fresh, modern take on minimalism. If you’re drawn to crisp whites, soft greys, or dramatic blacks, Monochrome Mood brings balance and clarity to your space. It’s about embracing simplicity with substance — creating interiors that feel calm, cohesive, and effortlessly chic.

BEDSHED

Set the tone with Monochrome Mood, where a single colour palette creates maximum impact through subtle shifts in shade and texture. Whether you opt for crisp whites, layered greys, or bold blacks, this look thrives on contrast and cohesion. Play with materials — glossy finishes against matte surfaces, soft fabrics alongside sleek metals to add visual interest without breaking the palette. Minimal yet dramatic, Monochrome Mood offers a timeless elegance that feels curated, calm, and effortlessly modern.

Texture is a great way to add visual interest when decorating in a monochromatic colour palette. I love using textures such as boucle or velvet for a sofa or selecting furniture that has a natural marble vein or ribbed finish to create intrigue and balance within the space.

There’s a quiet elegance to Modern Heritage — where timeless design meets the ease of contemporary living. This trend nods to tradition with classic architectural details, vintage accents, and rich materials, all reimagined through a modern lens. It honours the past while embracing the present, blending eras to create spaces that feel both curated and comforting. Modern Heritage invites us to celebrate legacy in a way that feels fresh, relevant, and deeply personal.

Blend old-world charm with contemporary flair in Modern Heritage, where tradition meets thoughtful reinvention. Start with classic foundations—panelled walls, antique-style lighting, or heirloominspired furniture — then layer in modern updates like sleek upholstery, abstract art, or minimalist hardware. Rich textures such as velvet, leather, and timber add depth, while a refined palette of warm neutrals, deep navy, or forest green keeps the look grounded. Modern Heritage is all about honouring the past while embracing the present, creating spaces that feel storied, sophisticated, and beautifully lived in.

I love using a statement, old-world style buffet unit, console table or occasional chair within a space to create a focal point in the room. It ensures the design feels ‘lived-in’ and allows you to bring personality and interest to the space. Select pieces that have interesting carved wood details or a heritage shape that relates to a certain era or vintage design style.

Set your space for the new season with the layered look that is part personality, part poise and fully you. See our guide to mastering the delicate art of layering using tone and texture, down to a tee – and it’s not as hard as you think.
This season, it’s all about minimal fuss, maximal impact, and the simplest way to keep your space feeling fresh and cohesive? Keep it tonal. Stick to one colour palette per room to create a harmonious base, giving yourself more freedom to experiment with furnishings. Some of our goto colour combos this season: crisp whites with pale blues, soft terracotta with warm neutrals, or sage green paired with natural textures like rattan or stone. Whether you go soft and subtle or bold and bright, tonal shades are the secret to a space that feels thoughtful, elevated, and effortlessly put-together.
Texture: Take your layering skills to the next level and take on the tactile. The secret ingredient to thoughtful home styling this season is texture focus. Love your oak timber floors? Highlight them with a contrasting velvet cushion or sofa. Have a bold, decorative vase that deserves the spotlight? Let it shine, styling back with complementary textures like smooth marble or polished metal. In the bedroom, choose curtains with a soft grain, and introduce depth through a mix of contrasting fabrics on the bedspread, pillows, and accent cushions.
Final Touches: This is really where you can let your personality shine. So much more than the cherry on top, use furnishings to embellish your space, and create a unique signature for your home. Use this Summer to embrace your inner maximalist. Not sure where to start? Choose a focal point and build around it. Whether you’re drawn to lighting, wall art or fresh flowers, choose your favourite element and let your creativity lead the way. Think a curated stack of coffee table books, paired with sculptural accents or an lush indoor plant. It’s cohesive, contemporary and completely authentic.
