Sheds built to last

For 20 years, ShedEx Fleurieu has been the name locals turn to for sheds that aren’t just built – they’re built right.

Established in 2005 by David and Sue Schubert and now proudly owned and operated by their son Michael, this family business has grown into one of the most trusted shed builders across the Fleurieu Peninsula and beyond.

ShedEx Fleurieu is about more than just putting up a structure. Whether it’s a rural machinery shed, a custom-designed workshop, a secure storage facility, or a garage to complement your home, every project is tailored to your needs, property, and lifestyle.

As a fully licensed builder, ShedEx Fleurieu provides a complete end-to-end service – from initial design and council approvals through to concrete, construction and the finishing touches.

Their goal is simple: make the process easy and deliver a shed that’s ready to use from day one.

Every ShedEx shed is built

using Australian-made BlueScope and COLORBOND steel, ensuring strength, durability and performance in South Australian conditions.

With a variety of colours and finishes available, you can match your shed to its surroundings

without compromising on quality.

Reaching the 20-year milestone is more than a celebration – it’s a testament to the trust and loyalty of the local community.

That trust has been earned through honest advice, quality workmanship, and a commitment

to building sheds that stand the test of time.

Get into Fleurieu Pumps

Peter and Lynette Lee are the owners of Fleurieu Pumps in Victoria Street, Victor Harbor.

They stock irrigation needs such as poly pipe, tanks, pipe fittings and the full range of pumps (domestic pressure, wastewater pumps, bore and rural pumps) and they specialise in solar pumping.

Peter said that people needed to think and prepare for their properties to be drought proof.

“What we have seen over the last 12 months shows that you never know what the weather will do,” Peter said.

“One water source makes it difficult so to have another water source such as a bore or tanks is a viable and sensible way to go.

“You do not want to see your water just run off. You need more storage for when it all goes dry.”

One big item at Fleurieu Pumps is water filters. They have the full range of filter systems and filter replacements in stock.

“We offer installation of

replacement filters when required,”

Peter said.

“Filters are important because in mains water they add chloramine. People with sensitive skin and young babies can develop rashes due to the reaction to chloramine.

“So the filters are essential to protect this.”

Peter said the filters take other

impurities out of the water.

“Those on rainwater you have the ultra violet system filter. They take out sediment and the ultra violet kills bacteria, which leads to infections,” he said.

Any property or home owner looking to upgrade their water system, pumps and water storage should contact Peter and Lynette at Fleurieu Pumps at 16 Victoria

Peter is a windmill mechanic by trade and has a crane truck for pulling large bores and specialises in all forms of pumping from dams, rivers, bores.

Solar is also a huge focus at Fleurieu Pumps.

“Due to the high costs of fuel and power, solar pumps is cheaper and more economical,” Peter said.

“We sell electrical, but we have a real focus on solar.”

Driving comfort

Window tinting can help you feel and drive more comfortably in the South Australian sun.

Tinting drastically improves the climate in your vehicle, by blocking the suns harmful rays, and also protects the inside of your car, helping to prevent damage to your interior components.

Films not only cut out the heat and glare but help keep the glass together if it gets broken, protecting you and your family from further injury in case of an accident.

Tinting your windows can drastically reduce your power consumption by blocking out the sun, whilst retaining your views at the same time, giving you peace of mind and the privacy you deserve.

Tanks of steel at Compass

Rainwater tanks are becoming more of a necessity than ever before with rising costs of living affecting all areas of regular life.

Since 1992, Compass Tanks have specialised in manufacturing high quality Z600 galvanised steel and Aquaplate steel tanks.

Having a rainwater tank can do worlds of good when it comes to money by supplementing or even replacing mains water consumption, significantly reducing what would otherwise be a hefty water bill.

Compass Tanks owners Bindon and Kristy Burns say that steel tanks have a much longer lifespan and have a wider range of use than a poly tank.

“Steel tanks are very different from poly tanks and to explain, we use the analogy between a steel bucket and a plastic bucket. If you were standing in a hardware shop, you wouldn’t expect a steel bucket to be as cheap as a plastic bucket, right? And you wouldn’t expect a plastic bucket to last as long as a

steel bucket, right? Well, it’s pretty much the same when it comes to tanks,” Kristy said.

Compass Tanks can supply tanks in traditional Z600 galvanised steel and Aquaplate steel.

Aquaplate is specifically made for rainwater tanks.

It has a food grade polymer lining on the internal side of the tank, meaning the water and steel do not have contact.

Aquaplate steel tanks have a 20 year warranty through Blue-

Scope, but their life expectancy is much longer than 20 years (40 years +).

Aquaplate steel tanks can store rainwater, mains water, bore water, and dam water.

Compass Tanks can also supply fire fighting pumps, pump covers and fire fighting hoses.

For your next rainwater tank, give Compass Tanks a call at 8556 8544 or email admin@compasstanks.com.au

Opening door to new era

After more than a decade of growth, Ouwens Casserly is stepping into the future with a bold new identity: OC.

This rebrand marks a new era in South Australian real estate, positioning OC as an aspirational market leader for buyers, sellers, landlords, renters, and agents alike.

Founded in 2014 with just three team members, the agency has grown to more than 170 professionals, building a reputation for expertise, guidance, and award-winning service.

The shift to OC reflects a modern, confident, and inviting brand focused on high-performing agents and exceptional client experiences.

Importantly, the simplified name allows the brand to extend beyond its founders while they remain actively involved in leadership and strategy.

It places greater emphasis on the collective strength of the team and the trusted results OC is known for.

“Putting people first has always shaped who we are,” co-founder Alex Ouwens said.

“From clients and team members to the communities around us, our focus is on supporting others through life’s important moments

with genuine care and unwavering integrity.

“This rebrand is about more

than aesthetics. It reflects our belief in the power of people, progress, and purpose.”

The rebrand introduces a new look, voice, and market presence.

Visually, it elevates what is familiar while recontextualising the brand as sophisticated yet approachable.

The refreshed brand voice empowers agents to bring individuality to the forefront while aligning with OC’s reputation for aspirational, high-impact service.

“We have always been willing to challenge the way things are done,” co-founder Nathan Casserly said.

“Not for the sake of being different, but to find better ways to grow, lead, and deliver meaningful outcomes for the people who trust us.”

OC chief executive officer John Thompson adds, “This change gives us the platform to sharpen our presence, open doors to new opportunities, and deliver even greater value to those we serve.”

With this evolution, OC steps forward as a distinctive voice in real estate, balancing aspiration with warmth and performance.

The rebrand signals a commitment to delivering outstanding results while honouring more than a decade of trust in South Australia.
