Welcome back to the start of the final half of the Autumn Term. I hope you all had a restful half-term break. We have lots of exciting things coming up in the run up to Christmas. Please keep checking the dates on here to make sure that you keep track of everything. We will try and give you as much notice as possible about different events to enable you to plan ahead.

Staffing update- We have successfully recruited for a new site manager. Mr Graves will be joining the Enfield Team week commencing 10th November. I am sure you will join me in welcoming him to the Enfield Team!

A big THANK YOU to all of the parents who are working with us to improve attendance. We understand that children become ill and are really not well enough for school. However, if your child has a cough or cold, we still expect them to attend school. If you let us know when you drop them off, we can keep an eye on them and if we need to, we’ll contact you to collect them from school. National average attendance for Primary School Pupils is 95%. Attendance at school is essential to a child's ongoing success and it is therefore vital that all pupils attend as regularly as possible.

Harvest Donations- A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our harvest collection before half term. We were joined for our celebration by members of St Matthews Church who thoroughly enjoyed their time with us. All the produce collected was donated to Harbour place who were extremely grateful! Thank you again from everyone at Enfield for your continued support.

Celebration assemblies- This half term we will be continuing to invite parents into school to join us for our celebration assemblies. A reminder that these take place on a Tuesday morning from 8.559.15am. If your child has been selected for an award, you will receive a message via the MCAS APP on the Friday before inviting you to join us. Please remember to check your notifications carefully to see if you have been invitied. The children will not know at this point they have been selected, so please help us by keeping it as a surprise for them! We hope to see many of you there to join us in our most rewarding assembly of the week!

Anti-bullying week takes place this year from Monday 10th November to Friday 14th November. The theme this year is Power for Good. This theme is all about empowering children to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying can cause. The week will kick off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 10th November, with adults and children being encouraged to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
