Parents’ Evening

School Photos

Deadline for ordering is today Friday 25th October

I’ve said it before, but it’s important I say it again: we’re so lucky here at school. We’ve got such lovely and supportive parents to work in close partnership with. Thanks for your time. We all appreciate how busy you are, too.

If you haven’t seen a teacher and want to, please reach out. I’m always available if you need me, too. Just ask.

New Parents Info Evening:

Is on the 7th November. Please spread the word; any prospective parents that would like to come and see our school, for a September 2025 start in Year R.

School Council

Congratulations to Forrest, Elsie, Evelyn, Teddy, Lucy, Anshveer & Mille – School councillors and Head Pupils respectively.

Our first meeting this week was to open up a discussion about the sorts of things our councillors feel should be discussed this year. Already some great feedback linked to meal times; use of apparatus; educational visits and some really practical requests for equipment. Watch this space. Our cycle of capturing pupil voice via PSHE lessons starts after half term.

Poppies

Poppies will be on sale after half term. If you would like your child to buy a poppy, please send them in with a minimum donation of 50p. They will also be available at any time from the school office.

Reminder: Save the Date: Rauf Parents

Rauf Class Assembly: straight after the celebratory assembly on 8th November.

Happy Half Term

A wonderful first half term here at school. Time to recharge you batteries and upon your return, embrace more wonderful new units of study within our broad & engaging curriculum, children; all in the build-up to ‘tinsel time’ – a magical time here at school.

Have a spooktacular break – and if out in the community, be safe & be respectful – be your best!

Thank you to all our school community for your continued hard work & ongoing support in making Earith Primary the wonderful school it is, and continues to be.

The Earith Team.

Learning Highlights of the Week

Highlight Antony:

This week Antony Class have enjoyed using Cat Nap by Steve Antony. We watched the author himself read the book to his cat Lola, hoping she would take another cat nap! We then drew our own pictures of Lola and used our phonic knowledge to write captions.

Highlight Wenzel:

Wenzel Class have enjoyed bringing our learning about The Fox and Grapes to fruition this week. We started by reading our own versions, written last week, aloud to a partner. Then, we created covers for our stories, making sure we included titles, blurbs and our main characters in our illustrations. We are also writing about our costumes and completing spooky acrostic poems today!

Highlight Larwood:

We have absolutely loved sifting through our locality boxes in Larwood Class this week. Looking at gorgeous old maps to see how Earith has changed over the years, seeing photographs of the old school and even finding a register from the 1940s which showed all the children who had evacuated to Earith during WWII. Incredible!

Highlight Rauf:

Rauf Class have produced some excellent descriptive writing this week. Within their writing, the children have used the models provided to embed their choices of adjectives, verbs and adverbs, in order to make it exciting for the reader. Their editing and revising skills were also impressive, ensuring that their writing was ready to be published.
