Personal, Social & Emotional Development:
To talk about the different feelings and emotions as the children begin to settle in to Nursery. To support the children grow in confidence to leave their carers and enjoy their nursery experiences.
Understanding the World:
The children will bake on a regular basis. We will explore the ingredients and how they change as well as share in conversations about flavours and textures.
Maths:
Learning how we can match shapes and objects using colour, size and shape. The children will sing simple math songs and games to practise their counting.
Expressive Arts:
Physical Development:
Spending time outdoors in our new playground and garden to develop gross motor skills through moving and playing outdoors. Develop fine motor skills with early mark making and practise throwing and catching using beanbags and soft balls. West Lancashire Coaches take PE
twice a week.
Communication & Language:
Children to spend time in smaller key worker groups to develop their confidence to talk with adults and friends. Encouraging them to talk about their families as well as listen to stories and talk about them.

Literacy:
We will enjoy sharing multiple books daily, with a focus on specific books including The Colour Monster, The Gruffalo and Christopher Pumpkin. The children will be introduced to the different parts of a book and how we hold and use them. We will use listening games to develop the children’s listening skills and using their own voices to replicate sounds.
Small world and role play areas are available at all times. Adults will model and support children as they explore these areas. Children will be encouraged to join in with a range of actions and rhyme songs and various craft activities.
RE:
