Learning Logs Our next topic in Year 1 will be all about the United Kingdom. In order to introduce the topic we would like you to work with your child over the next few weeks to create a learning log. Rather than every child working on every country, we have split the topic into four. Please note your child only needs to cover the topic specified on the front cover. As with previous learning logs this work can take any form that the children like, 3D model, writing, pictures, photographs. Please return this the first week back after the Easter holiday.
What is a learning log? A learning log is a record of your child’s knowledge on a subject e.g. animals It can include: • Photographs • Models • Paintings • Favourite stories/books • Information from the internet. We appreciate that the children will need your input but in order for this to be successful and link into our planning it will need to be from your child’s thoughts/perspectives. Learning logs are meant to be fun for the children and a way of showing to the teachers and other children what they already know! Please find included a coversheet on which your child should write their name and put this with your child’s evidence. If you need any information please go to www.learninglogs.co.uk Thank you for your continued support, Miss Stokes
