“Before, I didn’t like Christians,” said Kasem*. “I didn’t like Christianity. Whenever I would find a Bible, I would bury and destroy it.”
At the time, Kasem was selling drugs with three partners. But one by one, each of them was shot and killed.
“Someone was out to get us, until I was the only one left,” he said.
Fear consumed him.

“For more than a year, I constantly felt like someone was coming after me,” he said. “Even when nothing was happening, I kept imagining someone would come and kill me.”
Isolated and sick with chest pain, he desperately searched for healing.
Nothing worked—not magic, witchcraft, or a spiritual healer. Then he remembered some Christian friends.
“They asked me, ‘If we pray for you and you get better, will you become a Christian?’ Right then, I made the decision. I told them, ‘Yes, I want to follow Jesus.’”
Within days, his pain and fear disappeared.

“My parents were against Christianity,” said Kasem. “But since nothing else had worked, they eventually gave in and let me go [to a Seventh-day Adventist Church].”

Through your support, Quiet Hour Ministries partnered with the Maluku Mission in Indonesia to bring spiritual revival meetings to communities hungry for God’s Word.
This quickly expanded to 11 sites, welcoming nearly 300 guests each night and introducing 325 people to Jesus.

These meetings weren’t easy. In the Kandar and Adaut areas, local authorities made public announcements urging villagers not to attend the revival meetings,
with threats of social exclusion or expulsion from their villages.
Similarly, in Latdalam, those seeking baptism were threatened. One person had to be secretly transported to another village for baptism, hidden away to avoid the risk of harm or even possible death.
In the Tepa area, protesters attempted to prevent the meetings by repeatedly cutting the electricity. Despite these challenges, God’s work pressed on.

As a result of our revival meetings, several areas have requested similar events to be held next year.
Thanks to you, the dedication of local church partners, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, 41 people were baptized and 69 others requested Bible studies. Praise God!

Faith shines in the dark
A family of three arrived in Ciudad Juan Bosch for their first night of ministry—and the entire neighborhood was dark. The power had gone out.
“At first, it was a bit of a breathholding moment,” said Dee, the team’s children’s leader. “But then I thought—this is spiritual warfare. Satan is trying to shut this mission trip down. Yet, I felt more faith than fear. God was in control. Satan had no power here.”
